Appreciation and highest recommendation to Dave at Johnsons. He told me how to fix a monitor problem without me having to bring the monitor in. I brought in a computer that would not turn on. He brought it back to life by cleaning the inside of the computer. No charge. Dave is smart, competent and honest. What a combo. In addition he’s a nice guy who’s easy to talk with.

Really can’t say enough nice things about Richard and his staff. My fiancée (now wife) and I had been looking all over the city for a working vintage typewriter to use at our wedding reception. Every place we tried either didn’t have them or were charging an insane amount to rent them. Ready to give up, I decided to try one last spot – Johnson’s Business Equipment – that also happened to be local. Richard not only had an awesome working typewriter (a 50s-​era Royal portable), he gave us an amazing deal on the remtal. On top of that, he and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in a way that you don’t see too often these days. Highly recommended.

Great all around, 100% recommend! They cloned my slow pathetic hard drive to an ssd with same day service, no issues! I bought the ssd on Amazon and Dave cloned and installed it in my laptop. Everything works magically well — thanks Rick and Dave!

Mr. Johnson the owner is very nice and honest. I have been taking my computer to him for repair and I’ve bought entire rigs before. Never a disappointment. David the young blood can diagnose and fix any issue quickly. They make you feel right at home. And any hang abouts I sometimes encounter are just as nice. I have patronized them for over 15 years and no matter what city I move to I return to Johnson’s Businesses Computers in Culver City.

Bless David and his knowledge and insight. My USB/​Flashdrive was the latest victim of my harsh computer abuse. In a near panic (hey, my USB is my hard drive backup and more!) I called David and he said to bring it in and he’d see if the info could be restored. Having tried to get info from the internet, I feared what the salvation of information would cost, having read websites that suggested it could cost thousands. David was unable to salvage the drive itself, and I made the choice to purchase from him a new USB (with more storage space) for a price which I understand to be comparable to Best Buy — considering I did not have a lot of time for research. When all was said and done, my info was restored, David guided me toward a cloud backup to make sure my information from any computer or USB is always available to me, and including the cost of the new USB, I was taken care of for $ 60. For taking such good care of me, how could I not update this review and tack on a couple of stars?

Johnson’s is my go to place for computer repair and I have been going there for years — the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional and I love the home town neighborhood feel. They have worked on both PCs and Macs and have built custom systems for my friends that work great. I recently had multiple problems with my PC and the source of the problem was difficult to diagnose — but they did fix it and now its running better than ever.

I’ve been ripped off before a couple of times by «the Geek Squad» & Craiglists hackers, I was driving by on Washington blvd east of Sepulveda and noticed this little computer repair shop! I met Dave who fixed my computer in ONE HOUR and charged only $ 40 including hardware!!! The nicest young man, so down to earth! They do not have the attitude of «I know better than you». Dave & Rick the owner explain everything in terms that EVERYONE understands. Dave designs websites, they do upgrades, they even cleaned the dust off from the inside of the device! Best place in Los Angeles for your computer needs without the extra Upsale attitude you get everywhere else
