Got in and out on my lunch break. I didnt have my dmv letter but it was no problem and i was out of there in 10 min

Two stars because I passed the smog test.
However, he didn’t know how to see the mileage on my car. Which is ridiculous because anyone who owns a GM based car knows that soon as you open the car it shows you the mileage. Also, he quated me a $ 40 price and then turned around and charged me $ 60. His reasoning behind the price change is because its a rear wheel car.
My advise. If you need a smog check quick and painless hes your guy. However, the service and the lack of clarity with the customers don’t expect that here. He will also most like increase the smog check just because your have AWD. Seems like he should know carss better if you ask me.

It’s funny that some reviewers think the owner is cold. He was a peach!
I showed him my phone of the screen-​shot of the 20% coupon. Get it from his website. He barely looked at it and said, «Okay» and jumped in my car. By the time I did my Unilocal check-​in and sat my ass down on the waiting room, he was calling me to tell me he was done. Whew. Happy about the short wait but even happier about the smog check passing.
He handles getting results over to registry. Badaboom.
Then why the missing star? The only thing I’d add to make the experience *even better* would be for the old ripped chairs in the waiting room to be replaced with new ones, add magazines, maybe a bar, some truffles,. What, too much?

Came in here on Monday at 11am, was in and out in 10 minutes. Mr. Song delivers efficiency and honesty. Background story: went to another smog check station, not only did my smog failed but the check engine light conveniently went on after the smog check and the mechanic conveniently recommended cleaning my engine for $ 300 that would supposedly fix the issue. Didn’t buy it, glad I didn’t bc Mr. song got me in and out with a PASS for only $ 40, which is even cheaper than the other place!

I had issues with my car passing the smog test (my fault) and Yong was extremely helpful, informing me of all the possibilities of what could be wrong and what I needed to do to resolve it. I was able to fix the problem myself (computer data issue, of all things). I returned, and Yong was kind enough to double-​check and make sure the issue was resolved before he went ahead to do the smog test (just in case, so I wouldn’t have to pay for another failed test). My car passed with flying colors. Thankful for this neighborly place, and for Yong who is straightforward, not much for talking, but someone you can trust.
Tip: Next door is Pinches Tacos, La Dijionaise and Father’s Office!

Loved this place. Honest and fast. You can’t ask for more. Song is the man! I arrived and was in and out within 20 minutes. I am not rating this high just because I passed smog, Song is very honest and very polite. Sometimes smog shops can be real shady.

For a 4 door, passenger car I was charged $ 50 out the door this week and that’s with the 20% off coupon. The very reserved and not friendly business owner said it was because on my registration it said the smog test had to be done at a Smog Test Only place. It did not say STAR only place. I’m confused. But lesson learned– ask for the total price before handing over keys. It took 13 minutes. I said thank-​you and he said nothing. Guess thanking customers is too much to ask for?

This spot was great! While people complain about his lack of customer skills, I disagree! Not a man of many words, but the service is great as he’s there to take care of the smog check and get you out the door. In and out within 15 minutes, don’t forget to look for his coupon online. You don’t need to even print it, just show him your phone! Definitely will think of this place next time I need a smog check!

2 stars because my car passed the smog test, I was in and out and it was a reasonable price (with the online coupon).
3 stars taken off because immediately after pulling out of the shop, my car AC wouldn’t even turn on. In all 5 years of owning the car and up until pulling into the shop, I’ve never had any problems with my AC. I turn back around and ask what happened with my AC and the man who had worked on my car says «I don’t know what to tell you» and stands there for a few minutes and then walks off. As I said before, in all 5 years and the second I pull up to the shop, it worked like a charm. The air wasn’t even coming out! Luckily after a few attempts on MY part, I got it to work. I find it really bad that he didn’t have the decency to take a look at what had happened while my car was on their watch. If they could have at least tried to look at it instead of saying «I don’t know what to tell you» and turn around, I would have given them a better rating. The sad thing is they probably won’t read this review and will never fix their customer service issues.
Be careful before you leave and make sure you check your car before pulling out of the shop.

There is really nothing that I wanted to say about CCSC that hasn’t been said already by Unilocalers!
I stopped by this morning around 8:20. I told the technician (Yong Song, I think is his name) that I hope my classic porsche will pass. It’s passed every time, however I worry every 2 years that as the emissions in CA has gotten more strict every year. I went to other smog stations and I get nothing but bullsh*t like oh… your car needs at least 45 minutes or something like… oh this thing has so many different type of testing and will cost you $ 80 bull crap!
Yong didn’t hesitate. He smiled and went right to work. 10 minutes later… VOILA…Its all done and she passed without any problems.
Don’t go to other place around town if you don’t know where to go. Thank you my Unilocaler friends. This place is exactly like yerpers say, fast and passed and off I go… hahaha. OH, and I told Yong that I found this place on Unilocal,and he immediately gave me the discount, $ 50 all inclusive (thats the cost for older classic cars. Newer cars are cheaper, I am sure)!! I told Yong that he’ll see me a lot because I have a lot of cars… Yong said nothing but just smiled! Yong is the BEST!

I didn’t even print out their website coupon, i just pulled it up on my phone, and my smog check was 34 bucks.
i brought a salad to eat for lunch while i waited, and i didn’t even get through half of it before he was done. in and out in 8 minutes, tops.

Best smog experience of my life! Happens that this place is very, very close to my home so convenience was nice for me. Like everyone else has said it literally took only 5 minutes!!! I was shocked!
Also, I want to say that I don’t know what everyone is talking about saying the asian gentleman was rude. He was extremely kind to me and he even cracked a joke about the DMV. So, so happy with the service overall! They’re my go-​to spot from now on and I’m telling all of my friends, too!

Just as the reviewers said — quick/​cheap smog check. Probably the cheapest smog check on the west side.
Came here on a Friday afternoon, dropped car off, sat in waiting area for less than 5 minutes, the car was ready and paperwork was already sent to the DMV. There is a coupon which gets you 20% off, so i ended up pay about $ 34 for my Civic to be checked.

Best smog experience I have had. Quick in and out. Reasonably priced. No hassle. I left laughing because I thought it would be a daunting task but it was so easy.

Yes what you’ve read is true but its not nearly as bad of service as you’d imagine. Maybe growing up Asian you get used to the coldness and lack of emotion when it comes to Asian-​run restaurants and service industries but I didn’t think the guy working here was rude or impolite.
He was however fast and efficient and it took all of 10 minutes. A man of very few words he is indeed and nary a smile on his face. I was impressed that he «efforted» (sports jargon) enough to mutter a «sorry» when he told me that I failed the smog test. Really that’s all the empathy you’re going to get.
The reason I give it 3 stars is because you can shop around for an overall better deal if you feel like your car has even a remote possibility of not passing the smog test. The biggest issue here is there are no free re-​tests.
Cost was $ 60 (an SUV counts as a truck apparently) but it goes down to $ 48 with the coupon provided on their website. I was able to pull it up on my phone and he accepted it.
He did give me an explanation as to the problems but other places will give you a more thorough rundown and explain exactly how you can rectify those issues.
So overall, an alright price at the discounted $ 48 (when compared to others in the Westside) and its fast. But do some shopping first folks!

$ 32 to Smog my Ford Focus (after 20% off coupon you can get on their website) — came here without appointment within 10 minutes I was on my way.
The only reason why this place was 1 start short of stellar was the fact that the attendant was not really nice, he only asked me two questions during my entire visit. Do I need a smog check? and did I have the DMV paper? — other than that the only other question he asked was for my credit card for payment.

Quick and easy. Open on Saturdays. Test only.
4 cylinder cars pay less than 5, 6, and 8 cylinder cars, but there’s a 20% off coupon online that anyone can use. My total today came to $ 42, which included the certificate ($ 8). Without the coupon, it would have been $ 50, which is still reasonable given that it includes the certificate.
So many places in West LA gouge consumers and charge $ 50, $ 60, or $ 70 for a smog test PLUS the $ 8 certificate, so I was happy to find this place.

Affordable and efficient star smog station.
Came here Jul ’14 to do smog test on a ’06 Audi A3. Came back May ’15 to smog a ’01 Mercedes CL 55 coupe.
On both instances, smog was done on a weekday afternoon, and the place wasn’t busy at all. Note that the DMV called for a regular smog check, not star certified one with the audi. The mercedes called for a star smog. This location served both needs.
Without printing out any coupons or inquiring about any specials, the audi non star smog cost me a very reasonable $ 40 and took me around 15 – 20 mins. The price was among one the most competitive, and it was quicker than I anticipated. However for the older mercedes that needed a star smog and at a year later, it was more expensive at $ 60. Its more expensive but not far out of the norm. I am not sure if requiring a star smog requires a higher price, or if the shops rates have gone up dramatically. I might suggest calling ahead an inquire pricing beforehand.
Service was good. The attendant may not have been the most extroverted, but he wasnt offensive either. I found him efficient, helpful and capable with the job at hand. I have no complaints.
Location is convenient if you happen to be in the Culver City area. Its not terribly far from where the 10 fwy meets the 405. Its right next Helms Bakery with restaurants like Fathers Office, Bucato, and Muddy Leek.
Note that the auto shop in the same center isn’t part of the smog station, although its easy to confuse the two being the same business.
Recommended. Perhaps pricing may not be as low as Id have preferred like I did last year, but I can’t ask for much more.
