Bistro Laurent is a french get away with home-made pastries, we have the best croissants in town. Our tradiditonal style french toast, made from those very croissants we bake in the back of the bistro is unbelievable.
We are aiming to be a neighbourhood get-together-spot with friendly service, great home-made food at an affordable price, a french place without the attitude !
History
Established in 2010.
Bistro Laurent is our third endeavour in the food industry and a natural extension of our wholesale bakery. We have operated the bakery for well over 10 years. We serve our great food during the day and bake our incredible pastries there at night… We also are a feature of 6 Farmers Markets in town (Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Torrance etc…)
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Born and raised in Normandy Laurent grew up on a farm and from early on got fascinated by the Kitchen where his grand-mother officiated pretty much all day long for the family greatest pleasure.
After an international law degree at La Sorbonne in Paris, Laurent became a journalist .
He moved to Los Angeles in 1987 and resumed his love story with Food in 1995 when he started selling quiches and tartes baked in his kitchen at local Farmers Markets. From then on an array of croissants and french viennoiseries became a trade mark.
Café Laurent opened in 2000 in Culver City and recently Bistro Laurent, the newest baby was born…
