I don’t write very many reviews on Unilocal.So, when I do write a review, it is because service has been beyond exceptional. From the moment I started working with BGSS back in 2014, they have always been very honest and helpful. Just recently, they helped me land an opportunity that has become more than I could have ever imagined. My experience with each and every person in this company — from Christie, to Sara, to Peter has been nothing but pleasant and professional. Most other agencies treat you as many would expect — a means for which they can make money. But, BGSS prepares you for your interview, and gives you the best possible advice. Anyone who is looking to make a change in their professional life should definitely consider working with these very experienced and honest people.

Anyone, who at some point of their lives was looking for a job, knows how frustrating it is. Employment agencies are supposed to help, but instead, they take so much time and effort and all for nothing. One can argue, of course, but my personal experience, and my friends’ for that matter, is all pretty much the same: at least 30 minute phone interview, then you have to go the their office to answer same questions they already asked, this time on the application, then at least 1 hour interview to answer same questions but in person. You must fill out bunch of forms that you could fill out online. Nowadays, its so easy but they make it complicated. And we’re talking big names like Kelly, Apple One, Office Team etc. Anyway, the point is that I basically stop applying to jobs coming from agencies. By pure accident I applied to a job posted by BGSS not knowing they were an agency. I’m so happy I did. Marissa contacted me. When I expressed how I feel about agencies, she promised me that she’s gonna deliver a completely different experience, and she kept her word. My experience with BGSS was amazing: they gave me tips on making my resume better, on dressing right, and gave me all kinds of tips and info that were really helpful. It always takes time to find a job and Marissa didn’t stop trying even for a day. I never had to call her to remind her about myself. In fact, she was the one to call me to show her support and let me know she keeps me in mind. Marissa, Peter and Sara, all three provided impeccable customer service and made sure I got a job that makes me happy.

I have Sara to thank for finding me my current position. I tend to be quite discreet, so without revealing too much, it’s a customer service position, heavily administrative, with an international company whose luxury products are well-​known and sought after. The pay is great for a customer service position, I have great health insurance and work in beautiful part of Beverly Hills.
Sara was interested in me from my first interview, helped redesign and improve my resume and was on fleek with communication– each email she would send me would be followed with a phone call.
Initially I had one interview that Peter set up for me; I wasn’t successful on that occasion but they kept me on file for months. I did have to keep perusing them (I was eager to switch positions and sick to death of firing off endless applications on sites like Indeed, etc), though there may have just been a quiet period in the job market.
Ultimately, if you’re flexible and positive, this agency will work for you. To this day (nearly a year after I got the job), Sara still still checks in with my boss. I’ve a lot to be grateful and would recommend this agency.

If I could give Peter Bennett and staff 10 stars I would. In a city full of incompetent and flaky individuals, Bennett Gaynor Staffing, are a group of intelligent, hard working and friendly people. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted as a friend. I sat down with Peter and the process was not only quick but fun! He was also realistic in expectation as I was switching careers and explained that I may need to go 2 steps back in order to move forward, which I was fully prepared to do. We went over my resume and I did agree to paying the $ 80 fee to revamp and made an appt for a few days later. When I returned, Peter had already revised my resume and it looked amazing! He also gave my some valuable pointers, asked my preferences of location, work environment, etc and told me he would start to send my resume out. Again, I walked out of there feeling really good. Literally TWO days later, Peter was calling me with an amazing job opportunity and got an interview set up ASAP! Peter was there for me during the entire interview process which consisted of an initial phone interview then a face to face. I was hired on the spot during the face to face and could not be any happier! It felt so good to have someone in my corner in what could have been a very stressful situation especially as someone switching careers. I highly recommend! Thank you, Peter!

I applied for a position on a Job board and was contacted by Marissa. She asked me if I could come in the next day for an interview and I did. My experience with the office was a very enjoyable one she was very pleasant and offered me a lot of great tips. By the end of our meeting my resume was marked up with pointers and she asked me to revise it and send it to her so she could start presenting me to some of her clients to which she felt I would be a good fit. The next day I emailed her just a quick thank for all her help and complimenting her on her professionalism. I received no response from her but hey I figured no biggie. The day after that 2 days (after the interview) I sent her over my email with all the changes she requested as I was eager to get started working with her and the rest of the team (I met them all that day all very nice) however I never received a response not even a courtesy email of I received the email. A few days later I final called to see if she received my email she then kind of laughed it off and stated that she hadn’t even opened it but she would take a look at it. It has been about two weeks and I have heard nothing back from her and at this point have no interest with working the agency. If I were to base this on my experience with the process and not hearing back anything from them at all I would give them one star but since she did give me a lot of great tips and everyone in the office was so personable I am giving them an extra star. I was hesitant with working with an agency but after reading all the good reviews I decided to give them a chance but now I feel like it was just a waste of time and gas.

This staffing agency works hard to place you, they are truly remarkable. In my time working with them they were always very helpful and encouraging. Marissa helped me develop a resume I can now take into any job with great confidence.

I am currently looking for work and ever week they call with different possibilities. I’ve had a couple of calls for day work. I’m very flexible and love to stay busy. Everyone here is always a joy to speak with. I believe my next position will be to the thanks of them! Marissa always calls with a great attitude and great news.

I interviewed with Marissa and she is as nice and professional as can be. I was looking for temporary work and got placed fairly quickly at a fun job where let’s just say there were cookies involved. All good stuff.
Peter would contact me to see if my placement was going well and to make sure whatever issues that may pop would be easily resolved.
They’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping to clarify the message I was trying to convey in my resume and what to keep in mind when going for interviews at prospective placement jobs.

Underwhelming to say the least. They seem nice and give the impression that they want to work for you but they drop the ball every time. They are probably better suited for lower level jobs. They don’t seem to know what to do with high level skilled applicants. Again, I don’t want to give the impression that they aren’t nice. They are. However, Sara, for example, is way out of her depth and fails to follow up. This alone gives the undeniable impression that the agency fails. I would never seek their assistance again and rather align myself with a higher level agency. Try them but don’t depend on them alone. Sign up with other agencies to make sure that you are covered.

I’ve signed up for more agencies than I can count and heard back from none of them until I got to BGSS. The day I went in to see them they found an opportunity for me and set up an interview FOR THAT DAY. It’s all about timing, as they say, but the BGSS staff are good. Very good. They helped me throughout the entire interview process, getting me opportunity after opportunity as the first job fell through. I ended up getting the job in the fashion/​tech industry (which is a rare opportunity). They carefully looked at my resume and tried their hardest to match my experience and they cheered me on the whole way. Contacting Bennett Gaynor is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Marissa is a rock star. She is so communicative, positive, realistic, and responsive. I interviewed with Christie and met Peter about a year ago. I found a job then, and most recently wanted a change of career to the LA area, and Christie was the first I reached out too.
Literally within DAYS Christie and Peter worked to get me an exclusive interview in Beverly Hills. She trained me, updated me each step, gave me resume advice and was the best representation I could ever have.

I uploaded my resume November 2014, it is now February 2015. I decided to give this staffing company a call since we can all agree that the holiday season is now over, and was essentially denied consideration for employment by Katrina. I have an outstanding resume and have worked globally in the edu/​tech industry. I was under the impression from the other reviewers that I could make some headway and relish in satisfaction of finding help in this quest of snagging a suitable career. I sense that this company does not think much outside the box and clearly sees only what is written on the screen.

Indeed, AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! Peter and company are SHEER GENIUSES… the Crème de la Crème of short and long-​term staffing services… or shal I say Job-​seeker Reform Services. You go in thinking you’ve got it all figured out, but the free tips and advice given right off the bat lends such game-​shifting perspective and A-​Ha! clarity, that, alas, you get why you’re still unemployed and why you’ve needed these guys in the first place. But don’t take it in a discouraging way, just total enlightenment.

I cannot give enough praise to Bennett Gaynor Sustainable Staffing for their consistent and sincere effort in helping me with my job when I first arrived in Los Angeles; Peter and the rest of his team are really on their game!
When I moved to Southern California in August of 2014, I knew I needed to find employment as soon as possible, so I reached out to a handful of Unilocal’s top-​rated staffing companies in the L.A. area. Not only was Bennett Gaynor the first (and to date, the only) agency that returned my email — and they did so within days, not weeks — but Peter Bennett also sat down with me to discuss my career goals, workshop my resume, and refine my (admittedly rusty) job interview skills. Following my consultation, Peter remained in constant contact through near-​daily emails and regular phone calls, and within a week I had an interview with an upscale sales company and was placed as a part-​time employee with a high-​end investment firm in Century City. Within a day of my initial meeting I had 2 interviews lined up, and 2 more the following week. I made it to the second round of interviews and beyond with the first 2 organizations, the second and third wanted to hire me on the spot during the interview! Why is that?
