My Culver City dental experiences have been from the sublime to the ridiculous. File Dr. Fard under «sublime»…
I’ll enumerate what makes him and his office great:
1) Everybody is friendly and pleasant, and not hurried
2) Dr. Fard is conservative (by his own admission) and doesn’t seem to have an agenda to finance a new boat or child’s college education via work done on my mouth. He explained everything to me, and didn’t seem overly anxious to make problems where there aren’t any, even though he identified some areas to watch in the coming years.
3) New technology and advancements — They have a nifty X-​ray system that creates instant digital images instead of actual films, and supposedly this results in 70% less radiation exposure than traditional X-​rays. And when he asked me about novocaine for my filling, I complained about not liking a numb tongue, and he said that he uses a new kind of novocaine where he doesn’t have to numb the tongue, I declined, but still sweet!
4) Easy location, Lots of free parking fairly close to the freeway.
5) They take insurance.
Today, I went in for a filling — I was late (car issues), and they didn’t give me a hard time, and I came in, they were ready for me, and they had my filling wrapped up in just about 15 minutes… painless, easy, good bite, no numb mouth.

I’ve been to A LOT of dentists and half of them seem like they don’t know what they are doing… Not the case here… Dr. Fard is straight forward and is very knowledgeable. I did teeth bleaching and teeth cleaning with him and he checked all my teeth and told me everything looked good… Didn’t try to add services for no reason. Going back in 6 months for a follow up cleaning and X-​rays.

Going to the dentist can be stressful for most of us, so when you find a place that is clean, welcoming and friendly, it certainly helps.
The staff immediately put me at ease, and Dr. Arash Sabbagh-​Fard had a wonderful bedside (chairside?) manner.
I had put off having my teeth cleaned a little too long, and was worried I would need a deep cleaning, which can be painful and costly, but Dr. Sabbagh-​Fard and the hygienist worked patiently, and got me in and out relatively quickly, and with a lot less pain than I was expecting.
The wait time in the lobby was minimal too — probably less than 15 minutes.
I found him on the healthgrades website, and did notice there are only four insurance carriers he works with, so I would look into that before making an appointment.
My services were fairly inexpensive, but I didn’t need to have a lot of complicated things done, and my insurance was accepted.
I also found free parking pretty easily!
Highly recommend this place.

Pros:
They have a great staff and great office. I am sure the dentists are great with what they do. The facility is up to date with modern technology. Very clean office and they are very organized. Everyone was very friendly and the dentists were very nice to take their time and explain your issues.
Cons:
I didn’t end up getting services done here because the procedures were REALLY PRICEY. I asked for a second opinion from another dental office and the price was 1third less than what I was charged for a root canal, which was $ 2,000 after my insurance coverage! I also would have paid for a $ 600 deep cleaning, that I didn’t even end up needing. Personally, I felt taken advantage of because I had insurance. They recommended for me to do other procedures that my chosen dentist said I didn’t even need at the moment.
Would I recommend this place? Sure, you might have a different experience than me. But I also learned to question the prices and ask if you really need to do certain procedures first. It doesn’t hurt to ask questions if it means saving you thousands of dollars!

I was referred to Dr. Arash Sabbagh-​Fard through a friend because my dentist was out of town and I had a terrible tooth ache. I was a bit nervous going to a place I have never been to before but had to do something about the pain so I took my chances. I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Arash Sabbagh-​Fard and his staff. They front staff was extremely pleasant and very concerned about getting me in right away. I was seen almost immediately after filing out paperwork and Dr. Fard began his exam. He noticed a filling that was very close to the nerve but managed to take care of it without having me do a root canal. Needless to say I am extremely happy to have been seen by such a professional and have him save my tooth.
Dr. Fard is very pleasant and knowledgeable. His staff is friendly and efficient. The other dentist Dr. Mastour is also full of life. You can tell they really care about their patients.
