History

Established in 1999.

I started practice in New York in 1999 after finishing medical school, and 2 years of residency in the same area. Once I became Board Certified I decided to move back home to Southern California. (wow, what a difference).

I chose Culver City/​West Los Angeles area once I realized the small neighborhood charm that is getting to be quite popular.

Dr. Nejat, but what he loves most about being a podiatrist is being able to help patients feel more comfortable after just one visit.

After opening his original practice in New York City, Dr. Nejat returned to Los Angeles (his childhood home) in 2002. He is trained in conservative and surgical techniques, and provides customized treatment plans that suit a patient’s age, medical history and lifestyle.

During his free time, Dr. Nejat enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid cyclist and plays golf. Dr. Nejat is proud to be a yearly volunteer for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

This review is a bit late, but better late than never right?
After running the 25th LA Marathon, I injured my foot and was in a lot of pain. I found Dr. Nejat on Unilocal and based on the reviews I made my appointment.
Dr Nejat checked out my foot and did an x-​ray as a precaution to make sure there were no tears. The x-​ray came back negative and that was very assuring. He recommended I rest and wear a protective boot.
Dr Nejat was fast, accurate and was very caring. All the things you can hope for in a doctor.

Had nice first visit with Dr. Nejat. He suggested I wear more supportive shoes, which proved to be spot on. However, when I reached out to him regarding ongoing foot pain, and tried to schedule an X-​Ray (which he initially suggested), I was ignored. First an e-​mail went unanswered, and then a phone call to his office. His receptionist said Dr. Nejat would call me back. I’m still waiting. Had vast experience with high quality doctors in much more demanding health care roles. This was not a good one.

If I could give Dr. Nejat 10 starts, I would! I had a painful foot issue that had been there for almost an entire year and he was able to alleviate my problem right there in his office. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and reassuring. He is very personable and makes you feel comfortable. His office is also very nice and his staff is extremely professional and kind. My daughter dislocated her big toe and he set it back into place… he made her comfortable and even made her laugh throughout the whole procedure (which was super quick)

Checked Unilocal when we needed a podiatrist for my spouse. I had never searched for a doctor on Unilocal and was a bit hesitant, but his toe pain and what looked like an infection warranted immediate attention. I chose Dr. Nejat both because of his credentials and wonderful Unilocal reviews, and we were not one bit sorry! His manner is respectful and warm. His explanation of my spouse’s condition was comprehensible and complete. And his treatment plan seems to be working well. His receptionist is also lovely, an added plus for patients. If you need a podiatrist, see Dr. Nejat … He is now our «go-​to»!

Went in for a one time issue with fungus. Was very fair on pricing for the visit and even helped me get a prescription that is around $ 500 for $ 75. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Nejat is wonderful. He is a knowledgeable doctor, and very warm and kind!
I came to him in tears from a doctor who told me that I needed a very complicated surgery.
Then I met Dr. Nejat who told me not to rush, and offered me a different treatment plan.
2 years later I am back on my feet without the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Nejat.

Dr. Nejat is my favorite doctor, period. I’ve experienced a host of sports-​related foot and ankle injuries, and since early 2013 Dr. Nejat has taken care of me with the utmost compassion and kindness. I believe that he’s one of the top podiatrists in LA, although it’s refreshing that he acts so nonchalant in demeanor. Dr. Nejat prioritizes your concerns by thoroughly explaining in detail answers to any questions you may have. I experienced a nightmarish scenario with my insurance during the changeover to Covered CA, and the doctor took the time out of his busy schedule to write several letters which allowed me to settle my claim successfully. Despite being a busy office, his cheerful assistant Wendy always manages to fit me in to their schedule even with last minute notice. The billing assistant Erica is also very kind and helpful which is a relief considering that medical billing can be a headache. I trust Dr. Nejat so much that I brought my grandmother to him. I’m deeply grateful that I found him via Unilocal

What a great doctor! I have had a an infection on my foot for years and doctor shave been unable to help me cure it. I have tried conventional medicine and holistic, to no avail. Until… I found Dr. Nejat. Not only is he warm, friendly and down to earth. He is incredible smart and knows podiatry. I had a condition which he only sees rarely and he put me on antibiotics (I had no other choice) and a topical cream. I’m healed! Prior to making an appointment, I was hesitant and convinced that he would not be able to help me as no other doctor has been able to figure out my condition. He called me and spoke with me over the phone and assured me he could help me, in which he did. I am very grateful I found him.

I went to Dr. Nejat’s office last year, I had a problem with my foot and after reading the amazing reviews and also the fact that he was so close to my work it made it the best option.
Firstly I want to point out the good things, his staff it’s awesome. They are super friendly, nice, and willing to work with you. since both my husband and I went to this office, some of the billing got confused, and some mistakes happened with our payments, but they fixed them very gladly, and we were set.
My husband was overall pretty happy with his services, he is a very nice doctor and seems very knowledgeable, a bit sarcastic and fun to talk to, and frank. Since my husband’s issue was a lot bigger than mine, he had many more visits than me.
My main problem with doctor Nejat’s services, was that I felt that he never quite fixed our problems, as if we needed to keep coming back again and again, keep paying co-​payments and honestly it almost felt as if it was purposely not fixed quick enough!
I have had the same issue with my foot a long time ago, and with another doctor it was fixed in one day, sure it hurt but it never came back for years!
I went twice to Dr. Nejats, and was bill for autopsy, and 2 office visits in which in the last one he ran out of nitrogen (but assured me I was done and did not needed it) so he did not do anything, though I was still bill for an entire visit.
My problem came back in a week!
I am now having to go back to a foot doctor to get it fix hopefully for good.

This past July I completed the 10-​mi Tough Mudder in Big Bear and hiked the 14-​mi round trip to Cloud’s Rest in Yosemite.
Rewind back to April: I had hurt both my feet (right forefoot and left heel) while training and was going crazy from the aches and pains just getting through each day. I finally decided to ditch guessing my condition with WebMD and visited Dr. Nejat. He’s super cool and down to earth and suggested I toss my two-​year-​old running shoes and had me get x-​rays to make sure nothing was broken (fyi no x-​rays on site, there’s an ok place nearby in Marina Del Rey).
I definitely could not have survived my July without Dr. Nejat’s help!
My advice:
–Ask the man questions! Dr. Nejat knows his stuff and will explain stuff you don’t understand or give you recommendations.
–Parking at the medical office building is expensive. IF YOU CAN WALK (I couldn’t the first time I was here), try parking two or three blocks away south of Culver. There’s usually two hour free parking during the daytime.
