Since his graduation from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program the company has grown significantly and won many prestigious awards including the 2011 US Chamber of Commerce National Blue Ribbon Award. He has been feactured in the LA Business Journal as a small business success story and he serves on numerious Boards and advisory committees.

Advanced Battery has an extensive supply of batteries for all uses. Make sure you ask the price over the phone when you call, ask who you spoke to and make sure you get the exact price when you pay! They have many different pricing schedules so to make sure you have a good experience verify everything. For me it works and I will be back!

Fast Service, Good Selection, But…
The ONE STAR is because of my experience with them today. I called them over the phone I was quoted a price, I drove 20 mins to get there, once I was there the price was different. Exact same transaction, Nothing different, The only problem was a different price.
And no real explanation, I was simply told this is the price, not the one I was quoted over the phone. Take it or leave it. (Their way or the Highway)
They could have very easily made an upset customer into a happy one by honoring the quoted price (which was a very small difference anyways), but they chose not to.

Just got a convenience battery replaced in my SL 500. This is a tricky battery install. Lots of setting need to be preserved. They are very knowledgeable.
The service was prompt, friendly, and beat competitors pricing. I don’t think I will be going anywhere else when I need a battery.

Best place to buy any kind of car, motorcycle or other kind of batteries in LA. Period.
I’ve purchased 3 – 4 batteries here (2 for motorcycles) and they not only had them in stock, at great prices, but also topped off the charges on both before I took them to make sure they were absolutely fully charged before putting them in.
HIGHLY recommend this place!

My foreign motorcycle needed a new battery so I came to Unilocal and called ABS. On the phone they told me my battery is no longer made, but if I brought it in they would find me a suitable replacement. I went in on my lunch break and was helped immediately — he spent a good half hour looking for a battery that would work while trying not to break the bank. And just when I thought the search was futile, he found me the perfect battery for a reasonable price. These guys are great — I’d recommend them to anyone!

Replaced the batteries on my boat but did not install correctly so no power to critical systems. I reported the problem and they came and checked it. They told me they fixed it but it was not fixed. They told me it was safe to take the boat to Mexico. It was not.
I made a special trip down to the boat to check on it and found it was not fixed. I reported the problem again they came again and told me they fixed it. Told me it was safe to take the boat to Mexico. It was not fixed.
Eventually they hired an electrician which required a make another trip out to the boat. He showed me the main wire Advanced Battery dropped under the battery and did not connect.
They took a lot of my time, put me at risk, and did not make it right. They did pay for the electrician but they took a huge amount of my time for something that should have been simple and done right the first time, (or even the second time). In three trips to the boat, they could not fix it and repeatedly told me it was fixed when it was not. Given that my time has value, using Advanced turned out to be hugely expensive for me.
Dangerous to let these guys work on motor vehicles. Prices are good for parts.

This is not a typical garage but a battery wonderland. Okay, that’s exaggerating, but my car battery was getting tired and I didn’t want to do the dealer overpriced option or the various auto shop irregular service experience.
I thought; let me see what Unilocal can find for me. Bingo, up popped this place.
Note: when you pull up to the place, you’ll think, this is just a warehouse, but don’t let that fool you. Walk in the door and you’ll get personal professional friendly service. I was in and out the door in 30 minutes and that was with a short delay while they determined the correct battery for me.
I forgot to mention Unilocal for a discount but I got a fair price without it.

Thanks to Unilocal I had the best experience today. I generally hate servicing my car with anything, it just seems like everywhere I go they try to scam you or sell you something unnecessary. I saved around $ 40 changing the battery in my car and all it took was about 10 min. And in my neighborhood! If not for Unilocal,I would have never known about this place. I’m definitely coming back for all my battery needs.

I bought two Odyssey 31M PC2150 batteries from this vendor last year. So I’m not one of their large customers — but a customer, nonetheless. True, they do offer the best price on batteries and will price match other competitors, but when it comes to customer care and support — there still a lot to be desired.
I did a lot of research online of how to best utilize the deep cycle properties of the 31M-​PC2150 batteries in conjunction with a solar panel system, but online research only got me so far. I have a college degree and consider myself fairly savvy — but I’m not a battery expert — I admit that.
However, on multiple occasions, I have called or visited this shop to ask simple battery health and maintenance questions and they either seem not to be very knowledgeable about how to properly maintain the odyssey batteries or worse, don’t seem interested in helping me.
Rather than spend a few minutes troubleshooting my problem, I was told that everything is available on Odyssey’s website and I should look it up. What’s more confusing is that I spoke with Odyssey directly and their information was different than the information I was able to eek out from Advanced Battery Systems.
I bought my batteries here because I wanted to support a local vendor that could also help me should I have any questions with my batteries. I guess I was wrong.

I’ve been told my mechanic that my battery was on its way out, and that I should look into changing it very soon. Well, that day came, and sadly my mechanic since 2005 lives too far away to have him fix it, so I did research here to find a reliable guy on this side of town. Success! :) I found Jesse and Tony over at Advance Battery Systems in Culver City to really help me out! They have a great deal on rebuilt batteries, and they made me a very happy woman with the quick and efficient service they gave my Toyota! I am so happy that I found a good deal battery place on the West Side! Thanks, guys!

Those guys and gals at Advanced Battery Systems are on top of there game. I have been purchasing batteries from Mike P. for as long as i can remember. They have amazing prices for all your vehicle battery applications. With there 20 years of battery knowledge, they get the job done. Especially with all the new battery technology, they carry Exide battery, AC Delco, Optima, and Odyssey batteries. All of which are great products and they all carry some type of warranty.
FYI,
I will never purchase a battery at one of those local parts companies. I would rather get a jump start home and then call Advanced Battery Systems!!!

Two years ago, I made the mistake of walking into a Pepboys to get my battery replaced. It cost me $ 140 for their «five star battery» — a battery that started leaking after 2 years, and got replaced for free, with another battery that started to fail in only three months. Both times, the installation took 1 to 2 hours.
I was fed up with my car battery, and looked for something that could be more reliable. I also wanted better service; it was frustrating each time to wait at the Pepboys, and fuss with them over the warranty replacements.
Advanced Battery Systems is not a big-​box retailer where the employees just install whatever you point to; they are a family business, oriented at familiarizing their customers with different battery technologies, especially AGM.
AGM, or Absorbed Glass Mat, Valve-​Regulated Lead-​Acid batteries, have the lead-​acid electrolytes absorbed in thin glass mats, as opposed to simply having flooded plates. They have a higher density of available power, are more resistant to vibration and temperature swings, are not susceptible to catastrophic cell failure, have a significantly lower discharge rate, are much safer to operate, and don’t leak acid.
My sales agent was very keen in listening to find out more about my car, my driving habits, and problems i’ve had, to suggest the best battery for me. He gently steered me away from the more popular Optima brand, given recent quality control issues, and introduced me to Odyssey batteries.
I got the Odyssey PC-​1500, which is one step down from the PC-​1700 used in many police fleets. It sounds like overkill, but because these batteries are really built better than the rest, and have been field tested in critical applications, it’s probably worth it.
The install took 15 minutes.
The best part? I got a great price. My quote, with installation, came out to $ 55 lower than any online retailer.
Don’t bother going anywhere else, unless you are looking for a conventional battery, in which case Voltec might be the place to be.

Great place. Spent a long time with me trying to find batteries that would fit in a used scooter I wanted to get rolling after knee surgery. Richard stayed open past closing time until we made it work. (And had the best local price on the batteries in question.)
They have an enormous range of batteries: button cells, phone batteries, laptop batteries, car, motorcycle, scooter. They even have rechargable alkaline AA batteries (which are fantastic, BTW). Give these guys your business.

These guys are amazing. Ricardo didn’t try and «sell» me on anything but instead got me a great deal on what I wanted for my Range Rover (which has very extreme requirements for its battery). He was quick and efficient and got me a bought back ’08 Odyssey PC2150 31 with warrenty, tested it before my eyes, and installed it for $ 60 That is seriously one of the best deals I’ve seen anywhere. Here comes the good part though…
The battery weighs 95lbs and at installation the mechanic hit my radiator and clean broke my radiator overflow nozzle off! No worries though, they paid the full price for replacing the ENTIRE radiator, threw the battery in for free, plus offered to drive me home while I left my car.
All in all the sales guys and Owner (Steve) are friendly and knowledgable and even though things could have turned into a fist fight (which is immediately what I was gearing up for) they handled the situation honestly and professionally. What more could you ask for (other than for them not to break something in the first place)?
