Shop Jos. A. Bank Creve Coeur, located at 311 N. Lindbergh Blvd., for the best selection of men’s clothing, including men’s suits, sportswear, shoes, and accessories.
This is the largest Jos. A. Bank store in St. Louis. Apparently, one of the former executives of the company personally oversaw the construction of this location, as he was from St. Louis and wanted his hometown to have a particularly unique, lavish store. It’s unlike any other Jos. A. Bank I’ve visited in the country. Easily in the top 5 stores as far as square-footage. The service here is excellent as most of the employees have been at this location for many years and have life-long retail experience. However, this store is also the busiest, so if you happen to come in when all the associates are already with someone, you’ll probably have to wait a few moments before someone can assist you. Associates here are very personable and seem to prefer assisting one customer at a time as opposed to running back and forth between multiple customers. In my experience, this results in better service, so that’s fine with me.

Went there to exchange a gift that I received. Went into the store and didn’t see any other customers. I showed them what I was exchanging and they didn’t know what to do. Manager had to be called over and I said I just wanted to exchange it. He said ok. He helped me find some shirts and I got some ties. I took the up to the counter. The sales associate starting ringing the new stuff up and then I asked what was the other stuff. I told him I wanted to exchange it. He rang everything up and made an even exchange. I asked what the other stuff was worth. He said he didn’t know. I asked how that is possible. He said they were not in the system. They were rude the whole time. They had the attitude I was bothering them. It was a horrible experience. It was my first time there and will be the last. Do not go to jos a banks go to mens wearhouse. They are much nicer.

I originally shopped the Lindbergh Blvd location approximately a year ago and took advantage or their«buy one suit get two free» I remember that the quality of all their shirts, dress pants, and suits were great however the service was not as great. I went back yesterday on a Sunday morning at 11:30 am. There were no other customers in the store at the time. I went up to the counter were(2) employees were folding clothes and stood there sometime before one of the men finally acknowledged me and said«Be with you shortly» in an «aggravated tone» At that time another customer walked in the store behind me and someone came out back and asked if he could help him. The man stated he was looing for a new tie and the gentleman that waited on him took him to the tie rack while the(2) gentleman folding shirts at the counter continued to fold and ignore me. After several minutes of being ignored I walked out while they watched and made no advance to stop me. Not to mention that I was looking to purchase several dress shirts and pants as well for my wardrobe. I do hope the man buying the tie made the stores day as I will not be returning anytime in the future to boost their sales… It’s just so hard to believe that an up-scale store like this has such poor customer service to offer. I do plan on contacting their main office today also as I am sure they would be interested in my story too.

I talked my husband into going out for NYE, so he needed a suit. I don’t think he has had a suit in over 20 years. We told the salesman we hadn’t shopped for suits in a long time and did not know what the current standard was. When I questioned how baggy the slacks were in the thighs, I was told it was because my husband had a larger waist(34). But I was also assured that was the ‘current style.’ Not wanting my husband to look like he was wearing an outdated suit, we bought the suit and had some tailoring done to it. When we picked it up, I was still very unhappy with the fit ~ my husband looked like he weighed 300lbs from his profile(and he has a very nicely shaped derrière and strong thighs). The salesman on duty that day told us that JoS. A. Banks still cuts their suits like the 1920s … very ‘roomy” through the thighs and seat, and tapered very narrow at the bottom. Although they do have some«tailored» or «slim fit» slacks, we were not made aware of those options. I’ve written to the company hoping they will offer to pay for additional tailoring, since their tailors will not take in the thighs. I’m not holding my breath though. Guess my husband will look like he is wearing an outdated suit after all. If you don’t mind a wide thigh in your slacks, then you could be satisfied with their suits.

Great Bank location. I am sometimes a little annoyed at the level of attention I receive in these stores. Sometimes, I just want to browse, or check out things on my own. Jos A Bank employees can be smothering if you’re just looking. However, this place is a little better. I was able to receive service, but didn’t get followed around for two hours. The result was that I spent hundreds of dollars there, upgraded my warddrobe, and wrote this review! One bit of advice is that you should wait for their sales to buy suits. They regularly(several times a year) have buy one get two free deals on regular priced suits — this is insane! You can easily get 3 tailored, designer suits for ~$ 300. Can’t beat that. I also believe… don’t quote me… this is one of the larger locations in the STL metro. It is located away from the usual mall locations, and the stock is very good. They sent a pair of pants back to my KC home at no charge when they were out of stock, so if they are missing something, be sure to ask about free shipping from their warehouse. Overall, I’m a big fan of this location. I’ll definitely go back when I make my way to St. Louis.
