History
Established in 1947.
A Family owned business. «When Bob Dunlop (current owner) was just 10 years old and growing up in Long Island, N.Y., his father, Jack, thought he’d like to own a place in the country where he could spend weekends in the summer.
«It was 1947 when Jack and his wife, Minerva Dunlop, traveled to the Pocono Mountains and found the perfect spot — a nine-bedroom boarding house on 28 acres along Route 191 in paradise Valley.»
Thus, everything began. What started as a getaway for friends and family, turned into a thriving bed and breakfast, especially after the Ski Resort popped up right next door. Throughout all this time, though, the innkeepers have worked to make the Inn a place where people can come together, relax, and enjoy themselves.
«As a young man, Bob studied architecture and worked in construction before coming on board to world with his parents full time at Crescent Lodge in the 1960’s.

Business Owner
Robert Dunlop studied architecture and worked in construction before coming onboard to world with his parents full time at Crescent Lodge in the 1960’s. His background equipped him to design the cottages that were built to accomodate the skiers.» Clearly, a touch of love is present from the innkeepers in every aspect of the inn.
The family is still working together with «Bob’s son, Wayne Dunlop, serv[ing] as head chef and dining room manager.» They share the joy they experience to all of their guests.
