Joey is the best! I’ve been getting tattooed by him for 7 years and he always gives me exactly what I want! He’s done a huge lotus on my back with roots down to my butt, a giant sugar skull on my arm, a small anchor on mine and my husbands ring finger and he just did a huge original piece on the inside of my bicep. I have always gone in with an idea of what I’m looking for and he always outdoes himself. He’s extremely professional, super friendly and makes you feel really welcomed. He talks to you while tattooing but doesn’t make you feel awkward or uncomfortable. You can tell he loves what he does and I’ll be a customer for life! He’s about to start a huge upper arm and chest piece for my husband and we know it’ll be amazing. I’ve referred many people here and would never go somewhere else. Tonight my friend and I came into Bad Boy Body Grafix and had some work done by JR. It was my 7^th tattoo and the 6^th piece for my friend. Both Joe Lujan (the owner) and JR are friendly, professional, and highly experienced artists. What I like about this shop is that every piece they draw up is custom. They don’t trace any work. I showed JR a photo of the anchor I wanted and explained a few changes I wanted to personalize it for myself. He drew up exactly what I was dreaming of and I am extremely happy with how my tattoo turned out.

Joe Lujan did my work. When it’s time for more I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Joe Lujan is the BEST! I’ve been waiting 21 years to get my sleeve — trying to find a good artist that understands what you’re after and has the skill to make it a reality is incredibly difficult. Joe is AMAZING! I gave him my idea and he ran with it, coming up with something more beautiful than I expected. If you’re looking for an artist who will work with you to create something beautiful and personal, Joe’s your man.
The shop is comfy and relaxing. Always good music playing, good conversation, nice atmosphere. Be sure you meet Scooter the Koi and the chickens around back!

We have been going to Joe Lujan at Bad Boy Body Grafix for years! We actually consider him a friend so this review may be a bit biased. We wouldn’t have plenty of work from him if he wasn’t an AMAZING artist though… so friends or not here goes…
I can’t say enough about Joe’s talent as an artist. From the «here’s my idea for a tattoo» meeting to seeing the finished drawing I’m floored every time and can’t wait to get started. He has done some of our most important pieces. Meaningful pieces. Cover ups too. His freehand work kicks ass. To have the trust in him to do freehand work with a tattoo gun is saying a lot! The finished work speaks for itself.
On a personal level, hanging out with Joe is more than a good time! It’s a laugh riot every time! It may be our chemistry but Joe has personality, charisma and an awesome sense of humor. Once we get talking and joking, you actually forget what you’re doing there and that there are a crap load of needles pummeling your skin. On the flip side, I’ve seen him also just get down to business if that’s what the client wants. He’s is personable and accommodating.
The shop has a family business vibe to it. Joe owns it and he takes apprentices under his wing and shows them the ropes. A while ago he had Andy Johnson at his shop who went on to open Metamorphic Tattoo in San Jose. I have a piece from him. He also has Carlos (his last name slipped my mind) in his shop. I have a piece from him as well. I may have been «collecting» from the fam. Who knows. I’m sure there’s been others, that’s the history I know though.
Bottom line, Joe is the best! If you’re think about your first tattoo or you’re a collector… You should definitely check Joe out!
