Honest, reliable and knows what he is doing. My father called Crowder way back in the day and i have never been disappointed with Larry. Reasonable and fair, never overcharges.
Funny story– he took a part from my old (and dead) washer to fix my mom and dad’s machine. Now that is service.

I contacted Mr. Crowder regarding our fridge which was barely running… He came out first thing Monday morning saw the issue was a heater. He made some calls and the heater looked to be **expensive**. I looked online and yes it was just as expensive as he was saying. I gave him a check so he could order it from his guy and the next day he called me to say he got the part — for over $ 100 cheaper! This is the type of guy you want working on your appliances. Trust-​worthy, trying to save you as much money as possible, friendly, and quick. He gave me all my options and I was able to make an informed decision. Did I mention he is ½ the price as the other places I called? They all wanted $ 80 just to come out. Smh

Finally I found a good appliance repair person! After my horrible experience with the crooks, I found Larry here on Unilocal.I ordered my replacement oven door glass from Thermador. They sent it out by pony express I guess. It took 8 days to get from Irvine to Pasadena.
He came out promptly & repaired the oven door in 40 minutes & charged $ 80. I thought this was very fair since the crook wanted $ 180 for the labor. That was with a $ 50 discount! Be careful who you call.
I found my appliance repair person now! Thank you Mr Crowder!

Nice enough guy, seemed to know what he was doing.
But, after he did some work replacing some parts, the dryer worked for one load and then the motor failed. Maybe the dryer was going to fail inevitably, maybe not. Ended up having to buy a new dryer, increasing our overall cost.

My Kenmore refrigerator started freezing everything (even though it was turned way down) so based on all the good reviews here, I called Crowder. Larry came right away and checked it out and diagnosed the possible issues. We are leaving it for 24 hours to see if it begins to work again and if not, he will order a thermostat for it. He didn’t even charge me the $ 45 for the visit, which will be rolled into the service IF it needs to be done. Great, fast service and he knows his appliances. Highly recommended. Great to get honest, reliable service!

Refrigerator just stopped working. Called Crowder based on the Unilocal ratings. I was so extremely happy with the service that i decided to write my first Unilocal review ever!
I called in the morning… very anxious to get it fixed before all the food spoiled. He said he would be here between 11am and 1pm that same day and arrived as promised. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem… I was truly impressed by how knowledgeable he was. Already completely satisfied with his service and competence, I was even more pleasantly surprised by his very reasonable and honest pricing!!! I will definitely be keeping this number!!!

Larry is a genuine find! I called him to fix our dryer that either overheated or didn’t heat at all. He came the next day but he had a hard time diagnosing the problem since our dryer wasn’t acting up at that time! We decided to choose the cheaper part to repair of the possibilities he mentioned to us and he changed it out the next day. Unfortunately we chose wrong because our dryer still didn’t work right. Larry came out again and changed out the other part without charging us an additional service call charge of $ 45 and it seems to work just fine now. We are reassured that if our appliances break down again that we will call Larry!
As a side note, Larry doesn’t fix the newer high efficiency washers and dryers, but otherwise he’s fantastic!

I just used Larry today for a dishwasher clog. The problem was so simple (the air gap had residue) and it took him less than one minute to clean it out and he still charged me $ 54. I think it should have been just a simple service call which most companies charge $ 35 or less. Can’t say I’m all that happy. The only positive thing was he was honest about how simple the problem was.

Could not have been better! Larry showed up right on time, diagnosed the problem (blocked water line to freezer = major ice floes built up, encasing tiny mastadons) and got right to work chipping out the ice with no complaining or whining. (I’ve heard both before about this freezer, believe me.) Oh, and he also fixed a burner on my stove, while he was at it – almost one-​handed, while he was still working on the fridge! Couldn’t believe my eyes. SO highly recommended.

We had an old Modern Maid oven. The broiler would not stay lit. The technician came out and spent over an hour cleaning ports, etc. He finally got it to work and we were all surprised.
HE is awesome!!!

After reading the reviews here, I decided to give this place a call. My refrigerator decided to stop working in the midst of this mini heat wave. We gave this place a call and they had someone show up within an hour. The price was extremely reasonable and did not take advantage of a female home alone. I totally recommend all business with them and will use them for all future work.

My company just took over the office next door, and there is a fairly nice dishwasher already installed in the kitchen… that unfortunately does not work.
I called Crowder based on the ratings here, (what DID i do before Unilocal???) and Larry came out the next day, at the very beginning of the window he gave me over the phone. Within minutes he identified the problem, fixed it, and even set up the power source so it would not be obtrusive.
On top of the great and prompt service, the bill he handed me was extremely reasonable — even though it is not MY money per se, I am very careful about spending company funds recklessly. This makes me look good!
We will definintely be using this company again…

Had a semi-​new dryer that was rarely used, but broke and didn’t produce any heat. Called Larry based on the reviews here and he came out the next day. Turned out the belt was broken — Larry installed a new one for us and it worked just as new! Turned out to be a great price, just about $ 90 including parts and labor, compared to Sears, who wanted to charge $ 163 for labor alone! Stands by his work and comes with a 30 day warranty.

Fixed my refrigerator in minutes, replaced a bad relay. Very responsive, at my door-​step in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

Our fridge door stopped closing during the heat wave last week. Larry came out within an hour of giving him a call, fixed up the door in no time, and was very affordable. We might have lost all of our food if he hadn’t been so quick and efficient! Highly recommended!

I called because my dryer started smelling like smoke. Larry was pleasant on the phone & said he could come out the next day. He only charges $ 45 to come out, which is much less than other places I called. He was on time, friendly & quick. He did not find anything major wrong with the dryer, so he replaced the shoddy connectors we had on it, cleaned it out, then ran it to be sure it was working properly. He did not charge for the replacement parts. I highly recommend this company!
