Reid’s Grill & Creamery

A bit on the expensive side for the food menu but they’ve got a pretty legit ice cream selection. I’ve only really been here for a sandwich and/​or ice cream, but there’s ample seating outside on picnic tables, not even sure I’ve ever stepped foot inside.

Being a huge fan of ice cream and not really fond of chocolate, I usually opt for vanilla based flavors when getting a cone. I love soft serve and I’ve got to say that their vanilla soft serve ice cream is the best I’ve ever had. Full of vanilla flavor, very creamy, not a hint of iciness. Hands down, puts DQ to shame.

I think this is a newer place but I love it. It’s in a great location in Coventry. They have outside ordering and seating as well as inside. The ice cream is delicious and from what I could tell the food looked great, plus he prices didn’t seem too bad on the food front. There was ample parking and I could see it getting busy. It’s perfect for a hot summer night for dinner and ice cream or just if you want to take a ride out on a nice night.

The food is good and staff prompt. A ton of ice cream selections! They recently changed their menu so a few things are different.
Buffalo chicken wrap is very bland so would not recommend. You could probably make better at home.

Expensive for what it is and a little slow. Apparently it is ok to say they are out of the salad dressing ordered but then not let the customer change their order. The restaurant was slow and so was the service. Avoid.

Delicious! The staff here is great and their dinner is excellent. Ice cream is great as well! I would definitely recommend this restaurant… great bang for your buck!

Stopped by on a hot afternoon for ice cream and was a little disappointing. Maybe because we’re so used to UConn Dairy, but Reid’s ice cream didn’t do it for me. Maybe because it was all cream and nothing else? The taste was bland.
You would think for the huge investment the owner’s/investors made, they’d at least spend time researching their ice-​cream distributor. Sorry guys, just didn’t do it for me.
Since they still have a huge parking lot, they should transform part of it into a miniature golf, for the families!!!

We go here often to get ice cream with the kids. My grip is that this place has very little leadership. Their sanitation practices are poor. Good ice cream.

Well, it *smelled* good. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say– I never got to taste it. After standing around awkwardly for 5 minutes in full view of the staff, no one ever greeted me with so much as a «Be with you in a minute!» They were not busy; in fact, the other customers had all been served. They simply didn’t seem to care that I was there. Or perhaps they assumed that I would know to seat myself and order with my smart phone (judging from the other reviews)? Unfortunately, when you’re a first-​timer, making such assumptions is not a good way to earn repeat business. If you don’t care enough to acknowledge my presence, you don’t get my money. But it sure did smell good.

Been here twice for dinner, once for breakfast and a bunch of times for ice cream. The food is good (not gourmet, but a step above friendly’s), reasonably priced and the service is good as well. The ice cream is excellent; they have some flavors that are unique and tasty.

Good food and friendly service. The interior is warm, inviting and modern. The owners put a lot if time and effort restoring this place and it shows. The breakfast is very good as is the fish and chips. The wait staff take orders on their smart phone and if you pay by card, it is all done by tablet. Very cool. Reid’s is a very nice addition to Coventry.

Stopped on a Saturday for lunch. Decided to order via the outside window and sit at a picnic table. Ordered a couple burgers and sweet potato fries. Fries were nice and crispy. Burger quite good… liked the bun. Would do it again.
