Surprised that they don’t have a higher rating here because they are always busy!!! We have tried their shakes many times and love them! We recently had the food and it wasn’t bad. We had burgers, fries, cheese sticks, grilled cheese, and chicken nuggets. All yummy and slightly greasy. It’s a quick in and out kind of place. I do agree with other reviewers that customer service isn’t top notch but they’ve never been rude to me.

Love this place. they are open 10 am to 10 pm 7 days a week. I would much rather support a local company then a big chain. If you go through Cottonwood stop by and have an ice cream or a burger and fries.

The food is okay, the milkshakes are on point! But the girls they have working here are rude, they need to rake a class on customer service. This business really needs to learn to be more efficient with their time management…

5 star(6 if I could) shakes, 3 star greasy food. I have never seen employees do anything unhygienic, nor have I noticed them smoking… Maybe it’s because we always come in the evening and the employee set is different, but always very friendly young women.

It does take a little more time because everything is cook by order but the food is great! Best to call and order. Wish they actually had cheesecake instead of just flavoring and had a very bland raspberry ice tea. But overall it’s a great place.

I’ve never needed anything but an milkshake here, but they are always serving from the grill while we wait. Full menu of every diner dream dish, and even deep fry pickles. Be sure to order an extra thick shake, and ask for a spoon! It’s worth the drive!

A good greasy burger, fries, and shake type place. The Ice Cream and Milk Shakes are good, almost all of the fried stuff on the menu is good. Not much to it, just a good old fashioned roadside Burger Stand.

Loove the blacberry milkshakes. Rodgers frostey has been a cottonwood staple for years. Great burgers and fries. Also fried mushrooms too! We go there often.

Food is good. Can be a little slow however they say wait time is due to them having to cook everything. My kids love their dipped ice cream cones. They have beer battered onion rings that are amazing! Some of the best onion rings I have ever had

Are you kidding me? $ 7.79 for a 32 oz milkshake? Where does it say that on your menu? Wow, never again

I will admit that I am a fan, though I bordered on giving Rogers Frosty only 3 stars. It’s the only greasy burger joint considered to be «fast food» within 10 minutes(it’s just down the street from me) so when I’m really craving some french fries or a milkshake and don’t have the ingredients to make it myself, Rogers is the place to go. I do enjoy their fried zucchini, and it saves me from going all the way to Carl’s Jr for my guilty pleasure. They actually do a pretty decent job of them(whether they’re pre-packaged or not) and I’ve never been one to complain about their milkshakes. And you know how kids manage to eat all the«flavor» out of a snow cone before the ice is eaten? They gave us an extra squirt or two while we were sitting there enjoying our cones just to keep my son happy. And while the staff has always been friendly to us, I certainly don’t go there for their impeccable hygiene, which probably says just as much about my compromise as much as it does their habits. I can’t imagine working in a «kitchen» of that size because it has such tight corners, so I think it’s probably safe to speculate that the mixers and spatulas don’t get washed on a regular basis. If you go to Rogers, expect to wait. For anything. It takes foooooreeeeeveeeeer. The upside of that is that you can call your order in ahead of time so next time I will call in, take a shower, curl my hair, clip my toenails, read People magazine, text my friend, and then go pick up my order. And it will still be piping hot! As for the price, it’s a bit more inflated based on the quality of food they produce. I’m not saying I wouldn’t eat at Rogers anymore, but the frugal side of me always throws a fit if I go there. Aside from the milkshakes and«sides», it’s impossible to get a full meal there without paying almost $ 10 or more.

This is a great spot for lunch, dinner or a late night snack! The burgers are wonderful and the shakes are to die for! There is always a line and food is made to order! I try to stop by once a week for lunch! Stop by and have a good meal! It is a must in Cottonwood, CA.

I took the kids for an ice cream this last week. Besides being terribly slow and having to listen to the employees discuss how many cigarettes they think they can smoke in 30 minutes, a woman in front of me also ordering shakes noticed the lady making them drop the cup on the floor & proceed to pick it up to use it. She caught the attention of someone inside and told her what she saw and that she didn’t want that cup, to which the girl turned her back and whispered something to the lady who dropped it. I then decided I should probably pay more attention to what they’re doing back there. Not too happy with the dirty towel they repeatedly used to wipe both the cutting board where they chopped my banana and the wands for the shake machine. Then after our straws were unwrapped inserted into our cups for us(yuck!) I see the lady wiping her nose with the backside of her hand. Game over. I’m NOT going back.

Great old fashioned burger stand! They have really good frostys! Had a hot dog, they fry them up just like I like them. My daughter loved the fresh banana malt and its one of the last places to have a really good chocolate frosty cone!

Great old fashioned Frosty– a slice of 1950s Americana. If you are watching your cholesterol… order carefully. Always a line here. Great food, cooked to order. Easy street parking if you are towing, and easy access back to I-5. Antiques and gift shops nearby.

I love greasy burgers, chili fries, and milkshakes. And I love them even more when they are made to order at a little roadside dive or stand vs. the global chain store. So saying that… I really want to like Rogers Frosty. This place looks like a page right out of American popular culture. You know. the roadside burger dive. Unfortunately for me the look is the only thing Rogers has going for itself. I’ve eaten here a few times, it’s the only place to grab a quick bite in cottonwood, and each time I’ve been disappointed. The staff leaves little to be desired. Most are middle aged women who can be found smoking cigarettes on a bench outside right next to the order window. When you walk up they just crush out their cigs and suddenly appear behind the window to take your order. Gross! Aren’t they supposed to wash their hands 1st? They have never been friendly, just there to take your money and make your food. The food. First thing that comes to my mind is the price. It’s expensive. The menu is large with lots of variety of food and desserts. But things that I’m used to paying 2 dollars for cost more like 4 dollars here. I don’t mind paying a bit more if the food is fresh and tasty. The bummer is Rogers food is just regular and greasy. It’s not bad. Just nothing special about the burgers or anything I’ve ordered. The«secret sauce» I see mentioned in other reviews. It’s 1 part ketchup 1 part mayonnaise, aka«fry sauce» nothing I haven’t seen before. What can I say, I guess I’m just not a fan of Rogers Frosty.

The dipped cones are amazing at this whole in the wall shack. Visiting was always an awesome experience that I looked forward to with my mom and my brother. Not to mention the fries and the secret sauce. I am really glad I used to eat this when I was younger and had a better metabolism because this place is a one way ticket to obesity if you go to much. However for a treat every one in awhile it is the place to go.

Hometown favorite!!! Best banana shake in the world. If you find yourself in the north state, take a detour off I-5 in Cottonwood, food is yummy. Place looks scary, but the bugers, fries, secret sauce and shakes make up for it. Wait can be a litle long on weekends. I dont think there is any indoor seating? Mouth is watering just thinking about this place. YUM!
