Up visiting from the Phoenix area on our way to Dead Horse Ranch State Park for the night. We stopped in for lunch. I had the Fundido de Pollo & the BF had steak fajitas, both were delicious. Food came quickly, had great service & the homemade salsa was great!

Such excellent service! Family run business! Mama cooking in the back, son waiting tables and grandson providing comic relief! The Husband and I did our red sauce green sauce challenge! Beef with red sauce burrito vs pork with green sauce burrito. Both were super delicious, but red sauce won here! I would order both again! The chips were awesome and the salsa was fresh as you could get! A great experience! If you are ever in Cottonwood, make this a planned stop!

This family owned restaurant was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Sedona. The food was delicious and the margaritas tasty and unique. Here’s what we got: Empanadas: They’re huge! And they’re topped with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. The dough was crispy and tender all at the same time. Chimichangas: Good size. They’re not the huge chimichangas I am used to, and that’s fine by me! The only thing inside the chimichanga is the meat, but it is served with sour cream, guacamole, rice, and beans. I also recommend you get the sauce! It is a dollar more but I promise it’s worth it. Meats: We tried the Carne asada, carnitas, and deshebrada. All of them were well seasoned and tasty! Ceviche: Definitely not what I was expecting. The ceviche was served warm and somewhat soupy… almost like a cóctel. However, it was very flavorful and it was a great appetizer. Drinks: We had the Prickly Pear margarita and the Tamarindo margarita. Both were delicious! I recommend you squeeze the lime that’s on the rim… it definitely enhances the flavor. **BUT** what made this experience OVERTHETOP was the outstanding customer service. The staff was beyond perfect. One day when I’m loaded I’ll go back and give them hundreds of dollars in tips! LOL. They’re too kind and lovely :)

This place is great! Had dinner there last night with my brother & my husband… First time trying this restaurant… they were so friendly and really went out of their way to give us an enjoyable experience. Between the 3 of us, we sampled several menu items and all were so delicious! In a world of increasingly indifferent customer service and bland food, this place is a breath of fresh air. Casual, comfortable, friendly, flavorful. It’s all good!

How do you take a tortilla, stuff it with cheese, smother it with a green sauce, call it a cheese enchilada and make it taste any different from any other cheese enchilada in any other Mexican restaurant? I certainly don’t know but Conchos certainly does. Holy green sauce, Batman. I was about to order the standard Chicken Fajitas and Pedro(awesome service and just an awesome person in general) recommended the«Tampiquena»(I don’t even know if it’s on the menu, let alone have ever heard of it) but… It. Was. Amazing. I’ve had hundreds of fajitas platters and hundreds of cheese enchiladas and this platter was by far, the best combo of both I’ve ever had. And I don’t surprise easily. Afterwards, he said I should get the Pork Tampiquena next time — because it’s even better. And I think I just might :-) Muchas gracias! PS the margaritas are FAAAHHHBULOUUUUSSS!

Everytime I visit Cottonwood, I eat at Conchos Mexican Food. The food is always delicious and the staff on top of their game. My favorite is the shrimp cocktail appetizer which is big enough to share with four people. My strategy is to order something small to go with it such as a guacamole tostada. Everyone with me ordered a full entrée and were thrilled with the quality of food but stuffed to the gills!

Great quality food and service, for under $ 10 for 2 of us, including 1 beer. Vegan-friendly. Good customer service even tho it’s clearly a small family-run business without a lot of staff. Very casual ambiance. Perfect for these starved travelers looking for a filling and tasty Mexican meal.

Excellent old time family Mexican Restaurant. The red chili burros, pork, enchilada style are just likes the ones I used to get as a kid many, many years ago. Atmosphere is low key. Staff very friendly. Sometimes owners children help out or just sit at first booth after school. I will happily bypass all the fancier places in Sedona to relax and eat at Concho.

I rate a five star for empanadas and the excellent service by Pedro. This historic building drew us inside. The cool patio breezes and margaritas kept us cool… do not miss the guacamole.

A friend who works in Clarkdale recommended we meet there for lunch. It was wonderful. The food was delicious. Even though they were crowded, the service was prompt and courteous. Salsa was tasty and portions generous. On our next trip through we ate there again. It was as good as the first time.

The service was impeccable! What a great place to bring the family. The food was hot, quick and the chips and salsa addictive. We will definitely be coming back. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was a good one– hard to find that nowadays.

When they were over in old town, I have the absolute worst fish taco I’ve ever had. Coming from San Diego and eating in Rosarito all the time, I would not recommend their fish tacos to anyone! It was basically fish and tortilla… Where was the cream sauce??? everyone puts cream sauce on fish tacos, that’s what makes them Baja fish tacos! Sorry to say I won’t be going back, Because when I told them that I didn’t like the fish tacos and that they needed the white cream sauce on them instead of fixing the problem the guy that was working there said” that that was how they serve them”, and it was more authentic. he Was not at all interested in fixing the problem. Besides the fish not being very good either, almost like a fish stick… I paid, but I will not be going back, and everyone I know will not be going there either

My boyfriend and I were driving home to Phoenix from Sedona. At first, we were set on having Chipotle for lunch, but hunger fortunately stopped us sooner and we ended up at this adorable restaurant. One thing’s for sure, we love our Mexican food. This place is on point! Their salsa was exquisite and their food was delicious. The entire staff was not only extremely friendly, but very accommodating. Needless to say, I am SO glad we did not go to Chipotle, because this place is one of a kind!

Trying to get to Sedona for brunch and the usual brush fire then wreck had I-17 all snarled. We got off towards Dewey, went through Prescott Valley, arrived in Jerome which was PACKED with people. So in hunger and despair, we drove on to Cottonwood, figuring we could at least get some food in Denny’s. But I searched for Mexican food and we found Concho’s. They couldn’t have been nicer. Loved the fact its an old-style Arizona Mexican food restaurant. The décor is relaxed, the place is clean, the staff were so nice to us! Who hasn’t been stuck on that freeway at least once? Great chips and salsa. The food was delicious(my husband loved his veggie burrito) and the portions were huge. Food came out pronto. Honestly, I would eat here even if visiting Jerome or Sedona. The prices are better and the food was great.

We visited Concho’s while we were camping on 5⁄16 /2015. We drove into town and found Concho’s parking lot full of cars, which is always a really good sign! We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly service, the delicious chips and salsa, and a waitress that went over and above the norm, she was so thoughtful and we never had to worry about our drinks being empty! I had the sour cream beef enchilada and they didn’t skimp on the sour cream or the sauce and cheese, it was really delicious! The flan they served was big enough for two people to share and it was delicious as well. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Tell the staff how you like something, they customize it for you! I could not be happier right now. I am at a work thing, all by myself, and I feel so welcome!

When we went there wasn’t much of a crowd but that just meant we had the full attention of the waitress. The chips and salsa were excellent and I ordered 2 chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. It was very heavy and filling, both green and red sauces tasted great. I also had the Victoria beer because it was the beer of the month and they provided a cold glass with lime; it tasted very excellent. Overall, I recommend.

Finally tried this place after many, many weekend camping trips up to Cottonwood. Glad we did! Super reasonable prices and really good food, with excellent service. Be sure and check the daily specials, seems to be a great deal… Had fajitas for $ 8.95, and couldn’t have been a better deal! We’d go here again for certain, and liked the place a whole bunch!
