Instant Jungle is the best bamboo and palm nursery in Northern California. We make it easy for you to get the very best plant materials at the lowest price anywhere. We will supply you with plants or we will truck and install the plants for you.

We have 50 varieties of bamboo plants on 6 acres here in Cotati as well as 15 varieties of cold hearty and tropical palms. We have four additional nurseries in Southern California. This gives us an incredible inventory for selection and pricing.

Privacy screening is our specialty and size does matter! We have specimens 15 – 60 feet tall for immediate results! We will transport our bamboo and plant it for you. We take utmost care with your plant selection and guidance.

Established in 2003.

What started as a simple love of growing things turned into a focus on propagating and installing bamboo plants and palm trees. The owner has a long history in big projects, both in construction and in landscaping. This experience is so valuable to customers who need assistance in choosing plants and getting them planted.

We planted clumping Bamboosa in September 2014. Andy assessed our needs and recommended this particular species. Andy’s crew installed 18 plants along our fence line. They were on time, clean, and did a great job. In spring of 2015, a few of the plants were starting to yellow and Andy immediately sent out a crew and within a few days, they were back to green. The growth rate is phenomenal, with about 5 – 10 feet new growth since we planted them. We have not noticed any spreading beyond the primary areas of the plantings. We are very happy with this purchase.

I’ve been looking for clumping bamboo to use as a natural fence/barrier in my yard and came across the Instant Jungle Bamboo Nursery in my searching. They have a huge selection of bamboo’s and other shrubs on-site, so you can see just how what you’re buying will look. Andy listened to what I needed and suggested several kinds, then showed me examples. The next week he and his crew showed up on time and planted them for me. The service level was wonderful! Professional and friendly, they had exactly what I needed and made the installation a breeze. It looks great now!

We have purchased twice from the company. The selection was great and the service was friendly.
Our problem arose 4 years following our first planting. Obviously, the concern when working with bamboo is setting up barriers to prevent spreading. We followed the planting instructions offered by Instant Jungle 100% (while also looking online to confirm the suggested procedures). It was explained to us that the danger with bamboo was with the plant escaping the barrier by finding a seam or growing over the barrier. Four years later, the bamboo had spread in both our yard and our neighbor’s yards. When digging all this up, the there was no evidence that the bamboo had found a seam or grown over the barrier. Rather, the bamboo had grown under the barrier that we were sold by Instant Jungle. The barrier material sold to us was 24″ in depth. When we brought this problem to Instant Jungle, we were told that they never would have sold 24″ plastic barrier material but this is ridiculous as we purchased the barrier material and plants (and took planting instructions) from Instant Jungle all at the same time and were relying only their advice.
Due to this bamboo being part of landscaping on a fence line and surrounded by flagstone, it just cost us $ 5800 to repair the damage and re– construct a new barrier of 48″.

The Best place to buy bamboo! You just can’t find the same selection and the service level anywhere else! Very nice owner. I called and asked to meet on Saturday (his day off) and he came and helped me with my purchase. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking to add bamboo to the landscape.

I’m so glad I found this place on the web. There is a great selection of bamboo, Andy is very knowledgable and the prices are great. I bought 5 bamboos all via the internet and Andy delivered from Marin to San Mateo. I usually buy all my plants locally but realized the local nursery didn’t have much of a clue about bamboo. A couple bamboos I had wanted, they had never heard of. Thus, my search onto the web. I bought two Bambusa Textilis Gracilis (Graceful Bamboo) and three Tibetan Princess.
Do yourself a favor. If you’re in the bay area and want bamboo, go to this place.

If your planning on buying bamboo you have to visit this place. Andy was very helpful and informative. His prices are half of other places that I bought bamboo at and his selection was unbelievable. I am sorry I didn’t come here first. Thousands and thousands of bamboo and palms to see. We bought 18 15gal plants and Andy delivered them in short order as a great price too!!!

Huge selections of all kind of bamboos and sizes. I shopped around extensively to find the perfect bamboos for my garden. Instant Jungle’s prices and selection were superb. I.e. price for 12 – 15 feet (15G) temple bamboo $ 80!!!, that’s 50% cheaper that I could find anywhere else. I bought 6 bamboos and got delivered ($ 60 for delivery) the next day to Berkeley. They showed up on-time. Super easy, super cheap and excellent service.
