Dog Walks and More

My husband and I are relativity new to the North Bay, and we came here to start a family. After getting pregnant, and closer to the due date, we searched for a solution for our dog for labor and the first week after birth. My husband and I called at least half a dozen places, including as far as Marin.
We ended up finding Carmen and Dog Walks and More, who is right here locally in Santa Rosa. She was extremely kind, caring, and flexible. We created a plan, deciding to leave a key for her after we left for the birthing center, where things didn;t go to plan. We ended up having to be in the hospital for 4 days, and Carmen coordinated everything for us.
Shance, our dog, loved his stay. Before leaving him with Dog Walks and More, we met his boarder family, who were extremely sweet and loving. Shance can be hyper, and he peed in their house, but they were so gracious and still lovingly took him in.
Their fees are so reasonable compared to standard dog boarding, that we would not hesitate to leave shance with DW&M again, even if we move back down to the city. They are an A+ business that defines the word service.

Carmen was very professional, timely and attentive. We had her pet sit through the holiday and we couldn’t have been more impressed by her service. I highly recommend Dog Walks and More for pet sitting services and will definately be using them in future.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dog Walks and More. I was leaving town for a couple days and the day before I left I realized relying on my step son would leave me worried the whole trip. Here’s why-​I have a dog in front, a dog in back, chickens and ducks… but two are too stupid to go inside the coop and night, and then I have two ducks that waddle their way inside to sleep in «boxes». Then there is the elderly cat that has to sleep in the garage… never mind the 3 other cats that come and go as they please. Many details to follow. I called, and Carmen set me up to meet Bill. I printed out all my picky little details… and not only did everyone get well taken care of, he did extra things like play with them all and change the baby pool waters (I had told him not to worry about it, as it was only two days).
Bill went above and beyond, connecting with all my babies like I do, doing extra for them and I was very confident in calling two weeks later to do it again. Bill was my care giver again (great, since he knows the family now, with all their quirks) and he called me about one dog’s ear issues that he noticed. I had no idea, and was grateful he mentioned it to me.
This is very much like having a very close relative care for my pets, you know the one that is obsessed with animals… in my family that is me, LOL.
I will not hesitate to hire DW&M again, and I encourage anyone who wants to escape but leave their pets at home in their comfort zone to call DW&M. This gives me a freedom that I thought I lost by having my menagerie of fluffy friends.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dog Walks and More. Carmen, Mary and Naomi walk our «differently abled» greyhound daily. It seems everyone associated with the company is a true animal lover, and cares deeply for their clients. They’ve been able to accomodate a last minute additional walk (stuck in traffic; working overtime), and have even cleaned up our carpet after a sick dog! They’re all very personable as well. We’ve been using their services for over a year now, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Oh! AND they’re reasonably priced, too!!!

This is a great service– although I can really only speak about one of their walkers, Robin in Vallejo, she is excellent and I’ve found the service to be both flexible and responsive. I have a unique commuting situation and the owner helped set me up with one of their dog walkers who lives right off the highway along my commute. Though usually a dog-​walking service, she also offer daycare, and it’s MUCH more personalized than a big daycare place like Metro Dog. My dog LOVES Robin– he wiggles in excitement when he sees her– and I’m confident he’s very well treated. It’s the perfect mix of exercise & rest– he comes home tired but not exhausted and stressed. I am so thankful for this service and the great job Robin does. She is knowledgeable and very sweet!
The service as a whole has dogwalkers in many different locations, which is a plus. The only negative if you are looking for full-​time daycare is the hours aren’t quite as long & flexible as a more generic, larger daycare facility, but the care is so much better I think it’s worth it.
