Hottest bartender ever!!! I don’t care that it’s a dive and under renovation. I just there were more girls in their underwear in the joint. Have to reduce to 2 stars due to lack of service. The hottie was applying makeup more than working. Felt totally ignored. Why don’t they just turn the place into a strip club instead of this awkward, one babe wasteland?

Give them a second chance but the bartender was very rude she made me wait just because she was talking two other customers I waited for 20 minutes just to get a drink she did not even acknowledge me I will never be going back ever worst bar in Newport /​Costa Mesa

Great bar for meeting up with friends or meeting new friends! Drinks were tasty and the bartenders were hott. The new employee Talia checked on us several times and she brought us amazing jello shots. Can’t wait to come back so I can see her and the rest of the great staff again!

This place is off the charts. Manager is awesome, bar tenders are awesome, but mostly I keep coming back for Kurt – the amazing chef that’s there some week nights. I’ve never had a better sandwich in my life. He even home makes the pickles he serves and they’re spicy and delicious and really Kurt gives me a reason to love life. Best sandwiches in OC.

Great place to chill out and play a game of pool, listen to some music and have a drink or two.

I’ve been going to this dive since the mid nineties. The new owners have really revived this place. Full bar, cute tenders and good grub most nights. Definitely worth a stop, if you’re in the NB area and don’t want the deal with the kooks and cops on the peninsula.

Went there tonight to watch part of the thur night game. Well sadly that’s all I got for 10 plus min watching the bartender Liz walk right by me many times and not a word. The bar back/​manager was nice but watched me walk right past him frustrated and leave. You work in guest service if you don’t care don’t work in it. I guess some of these reviews are right with the «who cares about service» bartenders.

So the bartenders are awful! Standing at the bar and the girl goes around me to ask a guy if he wants more water. I am buying alcohol. Wow after helping two other people finally says have you been helped. Really? Your the only one standing here. Just wow!
The guy selling food outside is awesome. His buffalo cheese fries are way yummy.
Could be a great little bar if the girls working the bar were better bar tenders. Even for a bikini bar I have never had such bad service.
By the way the Star goes to the food guy. Too bad I can’t give him more cause then the bar would take the credit.
And it gets worse!!! He bar tender tips you off. The Bollywood hing they have going for them is the food guy!

New owners really know what they are doing! All the bartenders are attractive and kind girls. Beer is always cold and they have a liquor license now. Definitely my new favorite neighborhood bar.

Great neighborhood bar, great drinks, ice cold beer, cute bartenders and great owners that remember who you are young or old…
I stop in usually during the week in the afternoon or evening but sometimes on the weekend. Always a nice mixed crowd of all ages that makes everyone feel welcome.
This place has got the right recipe to be around for a long time.

Cheap booze with the most scantily clad bar (female) tenders which honestly. they are super nice!!! #.# it makes trying to dislike them impossible! All on all good bar. dont tske a date here… but i love all employees and the music… dont hate

Hey new owners! GOOD JOB. This place has come a long way from bar lubich to bar to bikini bar to whatever it use to be.
Beer was cold, nice.
Liquor now, nice.
Pool tables new felt, nice.
Working golden tee, nice
Good TV s, nice.
I’d say it’s becoming a the place it should have always been to begin with.
I am not sure of the food situation. Is it just a taco that comes on the weekend?
I’ll be back for sure.

This is a semi-​dive bar /​pool hall in the Costa Mesa /​Newport area. The attraction here is the affordable beer pitchers and the friendly & attractive female bartenders in skimpy attire. So it’s a place to grab a beer or cocktail and also enjoy the view and some friendly conversations. My most recent visit was this past weekend to see the Ronda Rousey fight. I cam with 6 of my friends to meet some of my other friends that were already there.
Here’s my breakdown:
GOOD 1: The owners really seem to care about their customers. Even when their appointed management falls short they step in and make sure things are corrected to their standards. Joann Turner (owner) is especially good at taking the extra step.
GOOD 2: The drinks are very reasonably priced and poured decent. In typical dive bar fashion you get your money worth in alcohol.
GOOD 3: They show all the pay-​per-​view fights and events. More and more bars in the area are no longer showing these things due to rising costs but Turners seems to have figured this out and still shows them all.
GOOD 4: They have fresh delicious tacos and BBQ on the patio. The prices for the BBQ are VERY reasonable and delicious.
GOOD 5: The bartenders are all attractive and wearing next to nothing. If that’s your thing then they do it 5 star
BAD 1: The patio isn’t technically part of the building so you can’t bring your drinks on to the patio. For those that smoke it means you can’t smoke and drink. For us who don’t smoke but do vape… it means the same thing. They did mention they’re working with the City to get the permits needed to change this but these things take time. It’s not the bar’s fault but it is part of the experience.
Overall…
My very first visit wasn’t nearly perfect but after speaking with Joann I came back with some friends and gave them another shot. This last visit was excellent. We all had a really good time. The pitchers were very affordable and the tacos from the patio were delicious. I’ll definitely be returning and would suggest you give them a try. If for any reason your experience isn’t great, don’t write them off… I’m certainly glad I didn’t and I’m very happy we came back. Now we have another spot to hit in the Newport Area where I know we can enjoy a live event or play some pool.

Stopped by after meeting the crew at Hi times chili cook off. It was our first time here. We love sports bars and pub 33 does not disappoint. Sabine took great care of us and put our favorite sports on TV. Sabine says they will have all the NFL games on so we’ll be here on Sunday’s this fall for sure!

Nice bar. On your way in you pass the smoking patio and bbq grill. When you walk in you are greeted by pool tables. Seating along wall. To your left is center tables for groups. And then you find the bar along your left. Good seating. Draft beers are visible along with liquor bottles. Lots of TVs to watch games. Lakers were on. Good surround sound. Had pacifico draft. Cold beer. Limes and salt sealed the deal. Touchtunes jukebox was on pause so cant comment on music or sound of music. But def will be back.
