Located on the 1^st floor of South Coast Plaza (diagonally across from Burberry), I came by this location with my mom yesterday afternoon with my mom. I am a big fan of Ted Baker clothing and shoes. The clothing is cute and quite colorful.
Anyways, when I came into the store, I was immediately greeted by an employee. She told me that if I need any help or would like to try anything on, to let her know. During my shopping visit, another employee greeted me and also told me to let her know if I need any help, not to hesitate to ask her.
I like that throughout the store, there are signs for what items were on sale and what were not (there were actually signs in certain parts of the store that states ‘not part of the sale’) which really makes it helpful. And also sales items are marked with the new sales price as well (in case you don’t feel like doing the math).
With plenty of sales items to pick from, I ended up with a few dresses to add to my wardrobe (too bad it’s just too cold to wear them right now).

Very very poor service. When you are foreigner, what is totally crazy about a British brand, people don’t even say hi.
I came in this TB more than 10 times since 1 year, and it has always been the same service.
Today, after have been inside for 10 minutes, looking for something very precise: a case for iPhone and a few cloths, I was looking for someone but it was empty of employees and the only was taken by greeting people coming in, asking if they need help.

TED baker, basically Ted is a man, so they do men’s cloth. There is not only ASIANS and LADIES coming in, no, there is some young French people (like me) coming and ready to buy…
I was very irritated after that and i called this number on the Unilocal page, but except being «so sorry about that» and taking my name, nothing.
Hard to stay polite.

Yesterday me & my boyfriend walked into Ted Baker. My boyfriend wanted to get a pair of shorts & ask a couple questions. As we both walked in, we both got ugly faces & attitude from the employees because of how we looked & dressed. We felt so discriminated. We didn’t even get help at all, they didn’t even acknowledge us. As we gave up & we were walking out, I see both ladies helping out ONE customer because she was dressed well & different ethnicity. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. Such a horrible experience at such a high end store.

I hate shopping.
I force myself to do this maybe twice a year. My lovely and very sharp wife spotted to Baker’s spot in Bloomingdale’s today. We didn’t shop anywhere else. To my great surprise we found two suits, 3 belts & three exceptionally cool vests (waist-​coats — in English) I thought I would never wear vests again.
At our home when we buy something we give something in the closet away — that was a great pleasure.
Then came to the service: with the two excellent gentleman behind the counter. At my request they gave me a good history of the English company where the clothes are manufactured including the origins of the wool –Morocco, indeed.
We presented a gift certificate which we did not realize was no longer effective. Instead of them objecting they gave us a good credit anyway.
Naturally we went upstairs and bought a whole bunch more clothes for the Mrs.

My BF’s favorite shirt is from Ted. Its not a cheap store, but the fabric is nice, and some of the designs are eye catching.
I would love it if they had more sales, and would love it more if their sales team was more friendly.

I’ve got a few Ted Baker shirts and sweaters. I like their stuff. It’s kind of… Hugo Boss crossed with Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. «Whoa… so why only 3 stars, Mr. Fashion Man?» For the store. This may not be the fault of the South Coast location, but the return policy is whack. You can exchange for something else, but they don’t allow for returns. At all. I mean… I can buy (and wear) a pair of Bruno Magli dress shoes from Nordstrom and they’d take them back a few months later — not that I’d do that, mind you… but Ted Baker won’t even accept it if the tags are still on. Same day, too.
Anyway… then there’s the dressing room fiasco. An unusual experience, to say the least. Co-​ed area. Drapes that don’t close. I see people watching me change each time I’m there (as I do my Zoolander pose) and… there’s usually some creepy old dude sitting down, «waiting» for someone to come out (i.e. totally perving).
Find out your size and buy online (where they let you return).

I love TB’s designs, it almost always fits me really well. Nothing too extravagant but elegant, fun and chic. Often minimalistic with little creative details. Great prices too!
The sales people are often enthusiastic and friendly, which makes a big difference for shoppers.
My husband and I are loyal customers. Even when we travel abroad, we have to stop by their local stores to see what’s new in that store.
My only comment is about the dressing rooms at the SCP store. They are small and the lighting casts some non flattering shadows. The curtains also don’t drape well, so often times it leaves a small gap on the sides so outsiders can see people changing. It doesn’t happen all tlhe time, but being a regular customer I’ve seen it a few times.

Excellent quality of clothing, excellent selection. It ranges from risqué to shabby chic to country, but no matter what you end up with you will have it for years. This is a high end place that justifies the price. The service is great too, I was looking for multiple items and was able to chat with no hassle. I also found out when the next sale is!
Minus one star for their return policy (you’re screwed if you actually want your money back because you can only exchange or store credit) so make sure you really want it.

Ted Baker is one of my favorite brands. Out of the UK, its uses fitted type styles.
They have innovative and well constructed clothing. There is always something new but also sophisticated and classic about all the clothes they make.
It’s great for men and women. I introduced this brand to my boyfriend and he loves it.
There is no other brand that I would say is comparable!

I love Ted Baker’s clothes. They are really well made and he has great styles that other brands don’t capture. I also love the décor of all of his stores.
HOWEVER, this rating was not for the clothes, it was for the STAFF. They used to have really helpful, attractive staff, but when I went to the sale this past weekend, they completely changed. There was an obnoxious guy making noises from a blow horn and a girl wearing a skimpy referee outfit that looked like it was made by Leg Avenue (it probably was). The girl did ask if I was familiar with the sizes, but nobody cared to ask if my boyfriend needed help as he was browsing the men’s section. I get that they were trying to be festive because of the world cup and all, but jeez, can they put a lid on it? Since when did it become a frat party in there?
For the price of the clothing, I would imagine they would hire more «upscale» sales associates.
Perhaps this review is a bit harsh, but it really turns a customer off when you have immature sales people prancing around the store blowing a horn…

Wow. Wow. Wow.
I was torn on whether to make this my 400^th review or not, but unfortunately Park Avenue won the privilege, so Ted Baker will have to settle for 401^st.
I came in here and was helped by Shannon, who helped me pick out a GORGEOUS pair of heels for (only) $ 150. Yes, I know this is a little pricey, but when a pair of Steve Maddens are already going to set you back $ 90-​something, what’s an extra $ 60? And these shoes are just absolutely perfect. They’re lime/​mustard with a black 3″ heel. I mean, I am hot stuff in these shoes, and what more can you ask for, right?
Shannon (the salesgirl) ended up actually being friends with one of my tattoo artists, which made it a lot easier to get along with her– you know, sometimes you come into these high end boutiques and expect to be treated like trash unless you’re carrying a designer bag (Hey, my Harvey’s bag still cost over $ 100 and is VERY stylish if I do say so myself), but Shannon was very friendly and our common friends took the edge off a little for me.
As for the rest of the store, most of the prices were just a little too high for pretty basic stuff (although to be quite honest, they’re very fashionable basics that will always impress at parties), but once I discovered the sale section in the back of the store, I was just in heaven. I found several dresses that were just to my liking, and the most beautiful orange blouse.
Did I mention taking the edge off? After picking out a couple things, Shannon offered to «take the edge off» by grabbing me and my accomplice both Bombay Sapphire gin martinis with grapefruit and cranberry juices. Yum! She made them on the strong side (which I’m sure is intentional– nothing makes the wallet looser than drunkenness). This is a clever marketing ploy in so many ways, most of which are obvious, but the best of which was that immediately after leaving the store I headed out to buy myself a bottle of Bombay Sapphire– so smooth!
I ended up not fitting into any of the dresses I picked out, and since they were on sale, my sizes weren’t available, and while Shannon made a valiant effort, calling both the Las Vegas and Los Angeles stores, my favorite dress was sadly unavailable. Shannon did let me know that there’s an outlet store in Las Vegas though, so if I go out there next month I could probably find the dress I was looking for in my size. I am going out there next month for a wedding and it would be just the prefect dress to wear! I will report as soon as I visit that store!
I ended up leaving with my perfect pair of heels and a pretty orange blouse for a cool $ 230 total. I am a happy camper and what was already the best shopping experience of my life was capped off with a thank you card in the mail three days later, hand-​written by Shannon, thanking me for coming in and hoping that I was enjoying my new swag. Talk about incredible customer service.
I am incredibly impressed with this store, and while I doubt I’ll find shopping here within my means most of times, this is definitely going to have to become one of those special indulgences!

As expected, Ted Baker delivers unique clothes that are perfectly proportioned and cut to hug your body in all the right places. Nothing is overdone and the clothes are so versatile that you can dress them up or down making them work for any occassion. The attention to detail is what sets Ted Baker apart from any other high end clothing store. OK so the clothes are on the pricier side and Ted Baker has been compared to an expensive version of Express, but for what you pay you don’t have to get your clothes altered just to get them to look the way they should and you won’t walk into a club and see a guy/​girl wearing the same exact outfit. If you’re cheap like me, wait for the sales when most things go for 40−50% off.
As for customer service, workers are somewhat pretentious «helping» customers as thought they were god’s gift to fashion. This is the only reason I dropped Ted Baker from a 5 to a 4. In true European fashion sales reps are usually awesome to talk to while shopping and love to share their take on style and trends. The staff at Ted Baker however, fails.
All things considered, love the clothes hate the workers.

This store makes me feel a little bit like I am walking into a Ben Sherman store, with its highly stylized, euro feel — only I don’t feel as if I need as much built-​in style to pull off the more refined Ted Baker look.
Unlike a lot of higher end designers, the majority of the clothes at Ted Baker look very wearable — that is, stylish without being over the top or too runway. The clothes are on the pricey side, but the quality tailoring and fit just may make it all worth it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they even offered my shopping companion (but not me!) a martini as he waited for me to try on clothes. They were kind enough to recommend a tailor who will give me a 20% discount from their referral — only I’m not sure I want to hem the dress after all, since it might wreck the lovely craftsmanship of my new favorite recent purchase.

Love the clothes style (less on the floral though), fit, and quality. When it comes to suits, custom made is the best hands down. When Kiton or a trip to HK or Taiwan isn’t in the budget, Ted Baker is my next best friend. In my opinion, TB, makes a better fitting suite than Zegna, Armani, Freeman, Hugo, Varvatos, etc… I prefer the European fit such as tapered waste, broader chest, narrower lapels, and leaner longer cut. If you are unsure ask the staff for their «Endurance» line.
The staff (a.k.a cute girls) will move heaven and earth to keep you comfortable (stifling inhibitions via alcohol) and spend dinero. It’s definitely way overpriced «made in Bangladesh» fashion forward clothes in every sense of the word; However, come during a sale and the sting won’t hurt as bad.

Okay, I’m all about finding some cool clothes and sporting stuff that’s decent looking, don’t get me wrong, but this place is not the jam. I came through South Coast looking for some nice clothes to wear to work and stopped in here because some good looking button up shirts caught my eye. My first sign should have been the 50 year old dude plastered in Ed Hardy clothes with brand new Chuck Taylor’s browsing the selections and talking to an employee.
After looking around for a few minutes I noticed I was getting weird stares from the employees and felt pretty awkward. I took a look at a few button up shirts and much to my chagrin, noticed the $ 175+ price tags. I totally understand that you get what you pay for and all that jazz but seeing as how these shirts were most likely made by a half blind kid in a sweatshop in Thailand there’s no way I could justify paying that much. I browsed for a few more minutes, with no help whatsoever, and bounced.
If you’re a weekend warrior who drives an Audi and goes to Sutra, THIS IS YOUR SPOT. Otherwise, I’d recommend Express for Men down the way, $ 50 will get you far there.

I would like to congratulate Ted Baker on a fantastic marketing approach! Get me drunk and take all my money! Yaaaay!
I love that the retailer has become such a successful company having very unique and humble beginnings by taking a non-​traditional advertising approach by way of «word of mouth.»
No doubt if you know me personally you know my love of fashion and design… and I LOVE English designers… Vivienne Westwood… Mary Quant… Alexander McQueen… Paul Smith… yum!
A more affordable approach to my addiction is the lovely Ted Baker and what do I love most about Ted Baker, aside from afternoon martinis whilst shopping?
I LOVE that my guy equally digs the menswear as much as I love the women’s wear!
In true Brit fashion, the garments are tailored impeccably. A very mod, slim fit… the men’s French cuff slim fit shirts are my absolute favorite. Unbelievably sexy, I love the way the dress shirts look on my guy. Every man should own at least 2 – 3 shirts from Ted Baker! And if you have the dough to spend, the suits are AMAZING. English tailoring is far superior to all! At least in this girl’s opinion.
Their women’s wear selection in the store is small in comparison to the men’s, but really that’s ok… I mean, us ladies can close our eyes and point in any direction at South Coast and not run out of choices. The select women’s wear they do have available in the store is spirited and trendy, yet still very classy and I LOVE the handbags.
Really, though, I come here to shop menswear with my guy! Yes, it is pricer than some retailers, but the tailoring is WORTH it because it will last and the style is classic and timeless.

Ted Baker is hands down my favorite place to go shopping in Orange County. I’m an average height guy with a broad build. It’s hard for me to find clothes that fit perfect because I’m not super tall, so large sometimes makes me look short, and medium shirts look just a bit too tight sometimes. I find that Ted Baker caters to me perfectly.
I find that most of their dress shirts (size 3 or 4, depending on how I want to wear it) fit me great. Because of the European cut, it fits my broad shoulders well while giving a fitted look. An added plus is that most of the shirts are French cuff, giving you the option to wear sweet cuff links. No worries if you don’t own any, Ted Baker sells links with their shirts.
Overall, I enjoy the dress pants very much. The pants are good for going out to an LA party or for work. Very versatile and very comfortable. I am not a fan of the skinny pant look at all, but if you like that look, they do sell pants like that too.
The suits, amazing! I own a Ted Baker Endurance suit, and I’ve received lots of complements from it. If you ever want to get a girls attention, just flash the inside lining of the suit, and it’s an instant conversation starter.
I also personally find the ladies clothing amazing. If I could date a girl that only wore Ted Baker stuff, my life would be complete.
Overall, a very good and fun place to shop. I only gave it 4 stars because it is a bit expensive and they have sales about 4 times a year. But as my brother says, for the quality of clothing and styles you can buy, it’s not that expensive compared to other brands. Did I mention that they’ll serve you a gin and tonic too while you shop? Genius!

Ahhhhh… I feel better now. Let me explain my little outburst there. Fran D. and I headed out to South Coast Plaza to do our Holiday shopping today. I was expecting crowds. I was expecting the hell on earth that is a mall the week before Christmas. I pretty much knew what I was getting myself into, and I was ready for it.
So I walk into Ted Baker, never having heard of the brand before (I know, I’m almost 30, my days of being hip are numbered) and start looking around for a gift for Fran’s younger sister. After checking a couple of price tags and seeing that average top ran around $ 160 – 170 I didn’t think I’d find much — because frankly, that’s just a little outta my range these days.
Towards the back of the store I spy the cutest striped mittens and scarf. Perfect present! And the mittens had no fingers. I know, sounds kinda pointless, but they were so cute. I coveted these mittens. I thought I saw that the mittens were $ 27 and that the scarf was $ 60. Ok — a little expensive, but they were so cute, I figured why not?
I take them up to the register and the guy ringing me up says, You know that the scarf is priced in Euros right? WHAT? Hello! This is the US! We go by the US DOLLAR here! Not the Euro! So ummm, NO I didn’t so much realize it was priced in Euros. I say fine, I’ll take it anyway. The scarf and mittens wound up costing me $ 134!!!
At first I was ok with it. It’s his sister. I want her to like her gift. But I need to eat too. So we went to another store and I picked her out some cute clothes (for a lot less money) and then trekked back to Ted Baker. I go in and tell them I want to return the most expensive mittens and scarf EVER and they tell me, Sorry, we don’t accept returns. Exchanges or store credit only. WHAT??? I really wish they had said that before I had handed over my credit card the first time.
To make a long story ever so slightly shorter, I wound up going back and getting a sort of cute sweater (I didn’t really think they had anything to fit us «real» girls, but behold, they actually do!), and I also wound up shelling out another $ 42 before it was all done.
The only good thing I can say about Ted Baker is that the sales girls were very nice and very helpful, if not a little too eager to help. Otherwise… Ted Baker really can suck it.
