Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing

My first experience with Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing was a good one. I needed my travel trailer washed in my alley and they were quick to respond, easy to make an appointment and did a quality job. However, the second experience did not meet my expectations. The crew appeared to be overly busy with appointments that day. Even though they made every effort to get an appointment booked for me as soon as possible, the work that was performed was quick and quiet frankly a little sloppy. There was still dirty areas of the trailer, which with a little time and attention would have been squeaky clean – like last time. I am considering if I will use them again. Disappointed.

Joab is amazing! I called him yesterday at 1pm asking if he’d be able to do an interior detail of my car ASAP since I’m on vacation in Newport and I’m leaving today. To my surprise, he said he’d be able to do it this morning! I had to call/​text him multiple times since I wanted to coordinate my already limited schedule with my friends’ schedules and wasn’t sure what time I was free yet. Joab was patient, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process when he could’ve given up on me and my scheduling shenanigans.
I brought my car to his shop this morning since his mobile generator was down. (If you do need to take your car to his shop instead of having him come to you, ask MapQuest for directions. Siri was wrong and took me to a random construction site.) He was attentive when I explained the specific requests I had for my car and was clear about what his detailing process entailed. When it was time for the guys to start working on my car, Joab even drove me to a nearby Starbucks so that I wouldn’t have to sit at the shop. He said my car would be done in 1 or 1.5 hours, and it was. Joad picked me up from Starbucks and took me back to the shop; then I was on my way.
His website says that an interior detail package is $ 150-​$ 175 for cars, and I was a bit nervous that I hadn’t confirmed this before they started working on my car. (I think all of us have been screwed over with hidden extra fees at some point in our lives.) No worries necessary though, as my grand total was $ 175. They take plastic that allows you to add a tip, so no need to bring cash.
I thought it was a little pricey since I’d found a 5-​star mobile detailing place in the San Gabriel area that had all the same services for $ 100. But Newport is a more expensive area as it is, and Joab was so wonderful throughout my specific last-​minute situation that I can’t complain.
The most important thing is that my car looked incredible, and I could see my reflection in the paint even after just the basic wash that comes with the interior detail. They got all the streaks off my windshield, the soda stains off my headliner, the stuck-​on lint off my center console, and years of dirt out of the mats. They took care of the interior compartments of my car too. Every nook and cranny was clean. They even managed to find a couple of small items that I’d lost somewhere under the seats long ago. My car looks fantastic, and I will definitely have it detailed again when I eventually sell it. They did a great job, and I highly recommend them!

They guys are great! They do all my work vans and personal cars. There friendly, prompt and do a excellent job. I highly recommend them.

This review is LONG overdue, but needed to be written. My brother got my car tinted for me as a surprise, so Joab went to his place to get it done. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the tint started peeling after a couple of weeks. I gave Joab a call, we scheduled a day, and he took care of it that same week. This is where things got weird… I left, and within an hour the tint started peeling again, but ten times worse. I called Joab back who had me go back, and he took care of it… again. Now… couple of months later, the tint is still perfect.
Joab was nothing but professional and a really, really cool dude. If he wasn’t as cool as he is then I probably would have gotten a little irritated (took a few hours total), but he took care of everything without question and we had some good conversation. It wasn’t even his fault, he was very precise and careful every single time, but for one reason or another my window wasn’t taking the tint until the 3^rd time.
I’d recommend Joab to anyone looking for tinting done, especially since he is a man of his word with his lifetime guarantee on his quality.

After another tint shop cancelled my appointment last minute, I called Platinum Plus. I was shocked (and thrilled) when I was able to get a same day appointment to have my windows tinted! Joab was awesome! After less than 2 hours, I picked up my car and
was told there maybe some temporary bubbles that would go away after a few days. I didn’t have any bubbles, still don’t and the car looks perfect! Absolutely flawless in every way. These guys do it right, are extremely courteous and aim to please. I don’t leave 5-​stars often, but these guys completely deserve and earned it. Highly recommend!

The best service! These guys are very convenient and do an extremely thorough entire vehicle detail. I called in to make an appointment and within 2 hours they were already working on my car. They did a great job with my headlights and a excellent job with my interior. The car literally looks brand new.

This was my first time to use Platinum and Joab. I had two cars detailed on successive days. They did a great job and even washed the first car that was caught in the rain after detailing. I will use them again.

Joab was great and easy to schedule with! Dropped off the X5 and then he dropped me off at home since our HOA doesn’t allow washing in the driveway. Picked it up and it looked and felt better than new! They do a great job!

Simply the best! I had Joab and his employees replace some tinting on my Lexus GX470. He is 1 of the nicest people I have ever met. They came to my residence on time, as scheduled, and replaced the tint quickly. He did an absolutely great job! Did I mention his prices are very reasonable.

Joab and his friendly and professional staff arrived at my house on time and completed my new Ford F-​150 in under two hours. He was very reasonable with the price and uses premium window tinting film. Great guys, efficient, quality products and phenomenal service. What more could be said?!

Joab and his crew came to my house and detailed a classic Mercedes and my scratched up Prius. They showed up on time and were very efficient. They made the Mercedes look brand new and they made all the scratches on my Prius disappear. I would highly recommend them and I will call on them again for future jobs.

I was in desperate need of a car detail. My husband and I do field work for a living and our SUV was covered in about a year’s worth of dust, dirt, fossils, and otherwise very rough wear and tear. When I pulled into my daughter’s driveway this morning, she actually gasped at the state of my SUV.
I was hoping to get the car detailed, but didn’t know where to go. My daughter ran some searches on Unilocal for me and found this company. After she had a very positive, and informative, conversation with the owner, she scheduled the appointment. Even though they were busy, their team of four excellent employees showed up at my daughter’s house later that day.
Let me put this plainly: this business deserves ever bit of its 5-​star rating. If there was a higher rating available, I would give the business that higher rating without giving it a second thought. Until about 15 minutes ago, I didn’t even have a Unilocal account, but Platinum Plus is so good that I had to sign up just to leave a review.
My SUV looks perfect. Their attention to detail was superb. Every nook and cranny was cleaned and polished to perfection. They were able to extract deep stains and transform the interior to a new-​looking car. The exterior is even more stunning. Even though it is a 2007 vehicle, the paint now looks brand new. I wish we had taken before and after photos!
Not only does Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing deliver top-​notch work, but their customer service is excellent. I normally don’t spend money like this, but it was worth every penny. Now my daughter is a little jealous because my older 2007 SUV looks better than her 2014 SUV! She said she will be scheduling an auto detailing of her own with Platinum Plus Mobile Detailing very soon! Thank you Platinum Plus!!!

They did an excellent job polishing or the impurities and swirl marks on the car. These guys don’t skip steps and had 4 working on my car at the same time! I highly recommend Joab and his crew! He was referred by my auto body guy. 5 stars for their work!

I called Platinum Plus looking for someone to do a detail ASAP! Gave them a call and got Joab on the phone the first time I called. He was very nice, super professional, and was able to come the next day! Before arriving Joab sent me a text updating me about their ETA, which I really appreciated.

I called Joab to have my 2002 Accord detailed before it was sold a few weeks ago.
From the get go, he was honest, professional, abd made every effort to accommodate me despite the last minute scheduling.
On the day if the detailing, the weather was overcast and looked to be threatening rain later in the evening. Joab called prior to the appointment to confirm that I still wanted the work done, and offered to reschedule in a few days. Due to the timing of the sale, I asked him to keep the appointment, and he gladly arrived, even a few minutes early.
Joab looked over the car, confirmed the estimate and got right to work.
About an hour later, the car was spectacular! The shine which had been reduced to a dull, rough oxidation was rejuvenated to its natural luster, and the interior that had indured an infant and overall neglect was spotless!
The overcast weather allowed the when to be completed faster than anticipated abd Joab, the ever honest man, adjusted the price DOWN to reflect less labor. When was the last time that happened to you?!
I hope if you’re reading this review that you give honest, hard working Joab abd his crew a shot to REALLY make your car pop… I’m glad I did!

Had their «platinum deluxe detail» on my car and a regular wash and vacuum on my wife’s car. I hadn’t planned on doing the wash on my wife’s car, but asked Joab if they could do it pretty much at the last minute — and he was very accommodating, which I really appreciated.
Both cars looked amazing after they were done. I was impressed by their work. I was also impressed that Joab was there in person — I appreciated that a lot. Joab was knowledgeable, friendly, and he and his team did really great work on our cars — and I am picky, so I appreciate detailers like Joab who have a very keen sense of detail like I do. I was looking at my car in the sun today and it looked incredible — and I mean really incredible. And given it’s a black car, that’s no small feat as black shows every little imperfection.
