It was a great place for beginning salsa learner like myself. Esteban introduced himself and Heather taught my beginner class. She was more than patient with all of us and had a great energy about her. Definitely coming back for more lessons!

OC Salsa has given me the chance not just to learn how to dance but also to meet great people! Esteban provides an amazing family environment. I’m happy to bring my young daughter to class because I know she learns positive things in a healthy environment! OC Salsa provides me with opportunities to have fun as I’m safe! Many of the people I have met through OC Salsa have become life lasting friends! I have to say that, at OC Salsa, I always feel welcomed!

You Need to check this place out! Steban is a great instructor! The price for a drop in is a bargain if you stay for both classes. Totally worth it. Please don’t get discourage if this is your first time taking dancing lessons, like all things it takes time and practice. Make sure to bring comfortable wear to enjoy the class since it can get tiring with all the movement around.

Ive always loved latin music and wished I could dance. Deciding to give it a try, i tried a free class with Esteban and crew at OC SALSA. What a pleasant surprise to feel so comfortable and welcome with a group I didnt know, doing something I had never done. It was fun, great exercise, and I couldn’t wait for the next session. I was hooked because the instructors and atmosphere make it so easy to learn, you get plenty of personal attention, and can learn at your own pace. Nice people, high quality instruction, and very reasonable cost.
If you want to try, improve, or perfect latin dance, this is the place for you!

The dance lessons taught here are bachata and salsa. They offer group classes on Mondays and Thursdays. You can check out their website for the hours. Special events are held each month where you can practice the skills you learn at a local salsa club with your fellow peers. Pricing start at $ 15 a class, $ 10 per class with a 5 class stamp card ($ 50), or $ 80 for unlimited classes for a month. If it is your first time, you get your first class for free.
I have danced salsa here on and off for about a year. I haven’t been consistent due to other priorities and hobbies. Currently, my group instructor for salsa is Miguel. I am in the beginner 2 class, which is a class higher than beginner 1 but not quite an intermediate. Miguel is very good at teaching you at a fast pace. He really hones you down on the moves by repetition. I prefer faster paced learning especially for dance just because I feel you get more out of your money. I hate being in a beginner class where they would teach you the basics over and over again each time we meet. I mean, the basics are the fundamentals, but just incorporate it in conjunction with a new move. Miguel does a very good job at teaching us new steps.
I finally got to try out bachata for the first time with dance instructor Danny. I am not much of a fan with bachata as I am with salsa. I think because Danny taught this class at a slower pace. In one night we learned the basic steps, a right turn, and a left turn. The number of steps we learned were fine, it’s just the time we took to practice them were limited. He kind of wasted a good 15 minutes talking about our «energy» throughout the 50 minute lesson we had (They say it’s a one hour class, but we spend 10 minutes doing a warm up so technically it’s only a 50 minute lesson). I don’t want a 15 minute speech on how we need to liven up. Just tell us and we’ll do it. Plus, the energy will naturally come with confidence. Teach us our moves and let us practice! We are there so we can learn the steps. I can tell Danny knows his stuff though. He just needs to utilize his time better and understand that the students are there to learn the dance, so please focus on technique and repetition.
Everyone prefers a certain way on how dance classes are taught. They do offer private lessons and I hear you learn exponentially more in private lessons than in the group classes; however, the cost is exponentially more as well.
5 stars on the salsa classes. 4 stars on my initial experience with bachata. So overall, I would give 4.5 stars total. Bumped up to 5 stars on Unilocal,because they do not allow half stars.

If you really want to get to know the dances of salsa and bachata this is your group! It creates a great confidence in oneself. It also builds on techniques and shines. It’s an amazing workout and is always challenging. But the best part is the people that go really become your biggest supporters and can be some of your closest friends. Esteban is great at teaching the moves you’ll really use on the dance floor. And his team of teachers always provide great techniques that only gets you to want more.

Esteban has been giving me private salsa lessons for a few months now and it’s turned out to be so much more than just a pastime. He’s the kind of teacher that becomes your friend, laughs with you, invites you out with the group to dance on the weekends … and no matter what mood you walk into the studio with — he’s set to make you feel great by the time you leave.
He’s flexible with scheduling, his prices are fair, and private lessons get you into the group classes for free (added bonus).
I think good teachers of any kind (school, sport, dance, whatever…) are personally invested in their students, and that’s what turns a hobby into a passion. I’ve always liked dancing, but I love salsa because of Esteban. If you’re new/​shy/​scared/​unsure — just try it. First lesson is free anyway ;)

I have been taking Esteban’s classes for a month now and feel compelled to leave a review.
I’ve been to other instructors and classes before and I can tell you Esteban, his instructors and his classes are in a class of their own.
Not only will you have a great time learning how to dance but you’ll meet many friendly people of all ages, from 18−50+.
My first class Esteban actually took me around and introduced me to other students, not to mention the class was full with about 60 students! And even though the classes are filled with enthusiastic students, you still get great attention and instruction.
Besides everything mentioned above, Esteban’s student membership is the best deal in town!

He is a truly talented, inspiring, and fun instructor who welcomes every student with open arms, and makes sure you enjoy learning the right technique and continually challenge yourself to be a great dancer, even if you’ve never danced a single step before walking into his class.
I began taking salsa classes with Esteban in early 2012 and it was immediately clear to me as to why he has such a terrific following. Through his classes, boot camps, monthly dance socials, and his newly-​formed beginning and intermediate dance teams, he has created a warm and friendly local salsa community. I certainly count myself among many people locally who have made great friends through Esteban’s classes and events. He also occasionally hosts evenings with his students at Tapas, a local salsa club which is always a fun time and helps those new to dancing get their feet wet dancing in a nightclub environment.
During each class, students have their choice of newcomer, beginner, and intermediate levels taught separately during the same class session, each level led by equally-​outstanding instructors like Mike Zuniga and Eva Cadenas, who have been hand-​picked by Esteban to work with his students. Classes start with a lively warm up, followed by instruction, and time for students to enjoy practicing what they’ve learned by dancing with one another in a non-​intimidating, helpful environment. Partners aren’t necessary, as students rotate throughout the class (again, great way to make friends and future dance partners!).
Esteban wants his classes to be affordable and accessible, so he has expanded one night a week into two, and classes are inexpensive — especially considering the quality of instruction, plus, he recently started offering an unlimited membership program so students can go to all the classes, socials and boot camps they want without paying on a per-​class basis.
Trust me, you will have fun, you will learn, you will meet great new people, and you will find it difficult to keep yourself from dancing at every available opportunity!

I have been taking group salsa and bachata classes from Esteban for about 6 months now. Previous to that, I was bouncing from studio to studio looking for the right atmosphere not only to learn to dance, but to socialize. Although the other studios also had capable instructors, what draws me to Esteban’s classes is the warm group of frequenters that I have become friends with.
There’s always plenty of people to dance with, so it’s fine if you show up on your own. Esteban, along with the other instructors who assist him, are patient, fun and witty! There’s plenty of dance space and parking. They also setup lots of fun events, such as toy drives, parties, bar outings, dance cruises and dance teams!

I always wanted to learn how to salsa dance but didn’t know the first thing to look for in a dance class. I took a chance and went to one of Esteban’s classes and I am extremely happy I did! I began in April as a beginner in salsa and have moved up to intermediate level. Both his salsa and bachata group class structure are very welcoming to all levels and a partner is not needed. The atmosphere Esteban creates is what makes his instruction so enjoyable. He does a great job of combining the technical and artistic aspects of dance to create very engaging lessons. He is constantly putting together meetups at dance clubs, house parties, boat parties to make everyone feel comfortable dancing in social events. If you want to pick up a hobby or simply have some fun, I definitely recommend Esteban’s dance classes!

I’ve been taking salsa lessons with Esteban for a while and I am very happy with my progress. Not only he is an exceptionally great dancer, but also a true born teacher. He pays attention to each and every one of his students’ needs, making sure you definitely move forward with every lesson you take, and you always leave his class in a great mood. If you want to learn how to move your body to hot salsa rhythms and have a lot of fun doing that then Esteban Conde is the right guy for you!
