Neuro Muscular Connection

I’m going to share more information than is needed on a public forum, but what good is a story that can’t help anyone else? That’s why I want to share.
For 5 weeks I had been dealing with itchy skin that kept me up every night with severe itch attacks until I bled. It was a nightmare. I was trying my best to figure this out on my own through internet research and home remedies because I don’t have insurance, but I couldn’t take it anymore so I went to an urgent care nearby where I was misdiagnosed, given a prescription for something I did not have and actually worsened my condition. I was worse off than when I walked in.
I was finally ready to move forward with a naturopathic Dr. who I knew would be more thorough in his approach. I asked my good friend who told me about Dr. Shaffer. She was recently referred by a friend of hers who also used to work there (which is also a good sign, an old employee vouching for her previous employer).
I got an appointment within a week, filled out paperwork ahead of time online which made for an easy check in when I got to the office for my appointment. I had a little bit of the jitters as I was hesitant to fork over more money for another misdiagnosis. Also, I was going to a place called «Neuro Muscular Connection» for a skin allergy? I’m so glad I pushed through, thanks to other Unilocal reviews that stated they saw the Dr. for other things not related to chiropractic care, etc.
Within the first 5 minutes of talking to him, he knew without a doubt what I had, and it was not what the previous urgent doctor said. What he proceeded to diagnose me with MADE SO MUCH SENSE, and all the dots were connecting. I cannot tell you what a relief it was to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. I was sent home with HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS, NOT MEDICINE, which finally remedied what conventional medicine could not. Looking forward to continued healing and answers. Thank you Dr. Shaffer for doing it right, cause so many conventional Dr’s are doing it wrong. Patient for life!

Dr. Crispin Woods is an extremely nice guy and a great chiropractor. He sincerely cares about helping people. I first found out about him through a friend who invited me to his FREE Wednesday night Olympic Lifting Workshop. (held in his office every Wednesday night at 7pm and Saturday at 10am)
Amazingly while I was lifting in the workshop he noticed I was having some minor posture problems and asked if I ever endure lower back pain. He was right, my lower back had been an issue for years. After only a few visits my posture was fixed and my back pain gone!
Being treated by Dr. Woods has truly made me conscious of my lifestyle by not only practicing but also teaching the true principles of chiropractic wellness care.

I have been going to Dr. Shaffer the main chiropractor since 2002. He is incredible! Whenever I have gone into see him he has always been able to fix whatever needed to be worked on.
Also Dr. Shaffer doesn’t keep you coming back unnecessarily. He wants to treat you quickly and efficiently, so you don’t have to incur more charges than are needed to make you well.
The staff is very nice and positive.

I have been seeing Dr. Shaffer since 2006. He is seriously the best! I had lost all faith in the medical system prior and didn’t think I was ever going to get better. When I first came to him I was a mess. I had terrible depression, anxiety, and digestive issues. He was able to balance my neurotransmitters and I can now eat normally. Any time I have an ailment I see him and recover quickly.

I was referred to NMC by a friend in ¹⁰⁄₁₃.
I had chronic sinus, throat, and ear infections and bouts of bronchitis for the past 4 years. I had seen countless conventional ENT’s said it was «normal» or wanted to do surgery without being able to figure out the cause.
I met with Dr Shaffer for my first consultation and within three minutes, he made a diagnosis. We confirmed the diagnosis with blood work and began treatment immediately. Four months after my initial visit, Dr Shaffer cured the initial diagnosis. We are still working through a secondary diagnosis but I have never been more confident that I am getting the right treatment (no surgery or antibiotics).
My entire family comes to see Doc Shaffer for sickness or pain and we see Keverne for nutritional advice as well. I have referred at least 10 other people who were unable to find answers and Dr Shaffer was able to diagnose their issues as well.
Kim and the rest of the staff are always helpful and pleasant.
I love that I can book appointments online instead of calling and being on hold or leaving a voice mail.
