Moonstone Riding Academy

Kim and Sami have been monumental in my growth as a rider and an owner. I began training with Moonstone in 2008, and Kim and Sami were the best instructors I ever had. They teach excellent foundational skills for the hunter-​jumper classes, and once those are mastered, are excellent at progressing your level of riding. They are kind, patient, yet firm, and do not have the «stuck-​up» attitude one usually encounters when entering the English riding world. My only regret is that I had to move away for college, and was unable to continue training. Kim also took over ownership of my first horse when I had to move, and through sickness and health, I could not have asked for a better, more loving owner for my big baby. Thank you to Kim and Sami for their excellent training, friendship, and life experiences.

I adore Moonstone Riding Academy. I’ve taken lessons from Kim and Sami for years, and they are the best teachers I’ve every had. I’ve had well over 10 riding instructors in my life, and none come close to Kim and Sami. They’re both so patient, nice, and sincere. They’re very experienced riders themselves, and they take what they know and teach it to you in the easiest possible way.
Their rates are affordable (comparatively), and they offer many services, including lessons (beginner through advance), horse leases, and summer camps for the kids. They teach kids (from as early as 3 years old) and adults. If you want to learn how to ride properly, and by an instructor that is compassionate and experienced I for sure recommend Moonstone!
