This is a long over due review but I do try to keep my word! Went to go see Dr. Brown and it was very easy very straight forward and pretty simple to me. Which is great because I’m always on the go go go. I would definitely refer my friends and family with confidence.

I honestly don’t know how anyone could give this doctor less than five stars. He is, hands down, the best eye doctor I have ever been to. I’ve recommended him to friends over the years and they all love him. His personality is great and he has, on more than one occasion, talked me out of needlessly wasting my money buying new glasses when I didn’t need them. Who does that? He’s terrific. I also like the fact that his office has a machine that can take a photo of my whole eye each year and check for differences — so I can skip the test where they blow air into the eye. If you need an exam, glasses, contacts, whatever, I HIGHLY recommend him. You won’t regret it.

Dr Brown and his staff take time to talk with you and explain what you need to know about your vision. This isn’t just a one-​way conversation either. He listens to your questions and answers them clearly. The exam was thorough, and I feel very confident about going here!

Dr. Brown is the BEST optometrist! Very gracious and friendly, but he also goes above and beyond for his patients.
After having pain in my eye for a few days, I decided to go to my regular optometrist Dr. Brown. I’m very bad with my eyes, very sensitive, too scared to even put contacts in! So when he discovered there was a small piece of metal stuck in my eye, he worked very calmly and quickly and got it out in five minutes!
Not only that, but when I was feeling the eye pain again a couple days later, we called him and he told us to come in on Saturday so he could give me eye a look. He’s closed on Saturdays. He only came to the office just to check on my eye. Now if that’s not a god Doctor than I don’t know what it.
Dr. Brown I am so grateful! Living in LA now, so I’m desperately missing him as my eye doctor!

Phenomenal eye doctor. My only optical Dr for over 20 yrs. Personable, professional, accessible hard to find someone better in OC.

This was my first time ever seeing an optometrist and I’m glad I went to Dr. Brown. The office is clean, the staff is helpful and Dr. Brown is very thorough. He took the time to explain things to me, showed me images and conducted a full exam. I felt like he genuinely cared about me and my eyes.
I took away one star because it cost me $ 80 to find out that nothing was wrong with my eyes. He literally recommended that I do my google homework and told me I don’t need glasses for 20 years. I’m not sure what the usual cost of an exam was — but I wasn’t expecting to pay that much. They also tried to charge me $ 36 for these photos they took on a fancy machine, but I didn’t agree to that — so they removed it.
Will I go back? Yes. Will I be positive that I definitely can’t fix the problem on my own so I don’t waste $ 80? 100%

I didn’t meet the doctor, my son he said he was very nice. The office seemed disorganized and calling there was a chore. I requested they email my son’s prescription to have on hand in case he lost or broke his glasses. They refused, said I had to pick it up. My old optometrist has always complied graciously and promptly to that request. When I did finally get down there — 20 miles from home, they were closed on Thursday. We would never go back. I recently took my other son to Costco for glasses and they were less expensive, took 3 days and everyone at the counter was very helpful.

Overall great experience! I was able to get in same day, the staff was helpful and friendly! I was able to find more than a few frames I loved!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brown since around 2008 or so. He’s the best. There’s really nothing more to it. I’ve been seeing optometrists since 1989, and he’s the first one I can say I’ve been to more than once or twice, and is absolutely the most trusted optometrist I’ve seen. He will make sure you’re in the right lenses for your comfort and eyes, and since I’ve been going to him, I haven’t had the major problems I used to with my old glasses. Optometrists before him had me at a way higher prescription for my eyes than I needed, thinking it was going to help with my sever astigmatism, which it didn’t — it always made me feel sick to wear my glasses. I don’t have that problem, and as soon as he saw my glasses he knew it wasn’t right. I’d been walking around for 10 years at that point wearing glasses that made me feel ill or wearing my contacts for FAR longer than I should have been each day, due to the discomfort. Amazing.

Watch out if you want to buy glasses anywhere else with your new prescription.
I came here as a new patient for a prescription and ordered a pair of glasses online, only to find that I was missing a measurement that I need to be able to receive my glasses (which are on hold because the office here never responded to any contact from the website about confirming my RX). I called to ask about coming in and getting that measurement and the woman on the phone called me back saying they couldnt give me the measurement because they would be liable– liable for what exactly? She said if brought the frames in, I could get the lenses made by them. How convenient, they only give you the full prescription if you give them a few hundred dollars for lenses. It wouldve been nice for them to let me know when I was in the office and told them I was buying glasses elsewhere.

I found it extremely bizarre that they would not see me without my SSN?
I’ve been seeing physicians, specialist, and optometrist with my same insurance company for the last 5 plus years and never asked for my social security number by any.
This seems sketchy.
So I declined to schedule.
Can they not call my insurance company, a national insurer to verify my coverage!!!

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Brown for over 10 years. We are extremely loyal. If one of us has an eye-​mergency, he always finds a way to get us in and take a look at it. We don’t have eye care insurance and he’s very affordable. Plus, he just seems like a good guy. We’re fans of Doc Brown.

This was my first trip to see Dr. Jeffrey Brown at family eye care. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was seen by the doctor right away. The doctor is exceptionally great. He took his time to thoroughly exam my eyes, and answered any questions I had. Definitely my favorite experience at the eye doctor, as of yet. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Brown, and I will be back next year!

I have been getting my eye exams from Dr. Brown for years. He is down to earth, easy going and professional. The staff is friendly and helpful. Appointments are easy to come by and flexible with my schedule. I would recommend his office to anyone.

My family has been patients of Dr Brown for 15 years. He is very thorough. He spends plenty of time with each of us. He recommended contacts for my daughter that she wears only at night, they actually correct vision over night and no Need for glasses or contacts all day. She is thrilled. Dr. Brown has been my optometrist for many years, 12 to be exact, and I’ve never felt the need to search for a different optometrist. He was thorough when I needed an answer and very helpful when I asked about Vision Therapy. He made sure I went to a place he trusted.
I really enjoy going to see him because I know that my visit will be pleasant. His staff are also a pleasure to work with; they’re flexible and work well together.
I highly recommend Dr. Brown, he’s an eye saver.

Let me start by saying, Dr. Brown is TOPS in his field. I have been going to him for a number of years now. He not only takes care of me, but both my sons. We LOVE Dr. Brown’s caring treatment! He is gentle, understanding, always interested to know what’s «going on in your life,» showing genuine care in all of his patients as people, not just «a patient.» I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brown-​The Best in Town!

Been coming to Dr Jeffrey Brown for years — Probably going on my 7^th or 8^th year. I was referred to him by a friend and I’ve never had to have find a reason to look anywhere else.
The staff is caring and understanding. Dr Brown is the same himself and is well educated with it comes to the health of your eyes.
The place is small and hidden in the corner in a small plaza. No issues with parking and the wait time is no more then 10 minutes tops.

I really love Dr. Brown because he’s always there when you need him! He’s very gentle and understands what it feels like to get your eyes looked at and is willing to be gentle and not so aggressive.
He really is concerned with the health of your eyes and asks your history without being too pushy. I’ve had my current glasses for about 6 years and walked in today to get the ears reshaped, easy peasy! Just walked in told them what I needed and walked out with glasses that fit me perfectly :) Thank you!!!
Even though I didn’t have a ton of money, about 6 years ago, I was able to get glasses that still work great for me! I am so happy I have a good eye doctor I can count on! Thank you Dr. Brown!
