Griselda De Santos

Griselda does a great job with hair and taking care of her customers. She worked with my schedule even if it was early or late. It was pricey but she gives you options depending on your price range. I had very short hair and wanted to add length, luckily Griselda was able to do it. My Co-​workers had forgotten I had short hair and thought it was my natural hair. It fooled everyone, in a good way. My go to hair stylist for extensions is Griselda. I know I can trust her and her work skills.
The location is inside the Hilton hotel under Salon Cashmere. There’s some outside parking but if not, you got to park inside the structure. And make sure it’s the Hilton parking structure, if you park in the opposite structure you can get a ticket or towed.

I’ve had such a hard time with finding a reliable hairstylist and I thought I’d never find one I could really trust with my hair, that is until I met Griselda! She’s so fun and welcoming and I can finally say I found a place I trust! I’ve been here about 4 times now and each time I’ve challenged her with crazy colors but always manages to deliver, haha. 5 stars for sure.

Griselda made my October 5^th wedding day perfect. I had read other reviews and she sounded like the perfect stylist to use so I scheduled my wedding day makeup and hair without even talking with her. Yes, I was a little nervous as I was coming all the way from Texas for my destination wedding on Newport Beach. However, once she got started, my nerves were at ease as I could tell she was a seasoned professional that was knew exactly what needed to be done for making me look my best in our HD video and pictures. She exceeded all of my expectations and made me look more beautiful than I could have imagined. All of my friends and family members have made comments about how gorgeous I looked. I am so happy that I selected Griselda and would recommend her to anyone.

Purple highlights are the best and whom better than to do them but my sister Griselda. With patience and a world of hair ideas my stylist knows my thick hair like the back of her hand and her fingers do the talking. Not because she is my sister but the fact is she knows hair. A Latina problem with too much hair can become frustrating, however if you want fabulous hair than make the appointment and handle your hair with a professional stylist, my sister Griselda De Santos!

Griselda provides outstanding customer service! She is the best hair stylist I had in years; she is genuine, polite, takes into consideration customer’s needs and does a great job. Although my hair did not hold a perm, she did everything to ensure I had a good experience. She gave me a beautiful haircut, my hair feels alive and healthy! I will be definitely coming back :)

Perhaps I had high expectations, but when it comes to a very special day in your life like weddings I would have hoped to have had a better experience. Griselda offered me a discount for hair and make up for my wedding, but when it came down the trial I felt rushed and we didn’t even get to «try» any other hair styles other than the first and only hair style she gave me. Discount or no discount, the quality and experience should be the same for everyone. I gave two stars since she apologized, but this was not a positive experience and I decided to work with someone else for my wedding hair and make up.

You get what you pay for! That’s for sure. I had a botched at-​home permanent hair dye treatment over the weekend. The color was completely uneven and it was just a disaster. I immediately began searching for a hair stylist in the Costa Mesa area near my work. I was always hesitant trying a new stylist because in the past 5 years I never had any luck finding the right one for me. ALAS! I turned to Unilocal for reviews and took a shot with Griselda who had awesome reviews here.
I left her a message about my dilemma. She called me right back and immediately I felt at ease just speaking to her and somehow felt like she’s really going to make it better. My instinct was spot on! I got to the salon and she really took the time to analyze what happened to my hair and worked her magic at creating the right formula to fix the color. I had her add highlights to my hair and she knew exactly what I wanted and she executed.
On top of being an excellent stylist, she’s also very flexible. I asked her to squeeze in a haircut for me since my hair is the typical flat asian hair with no volume/​body. I sense so much confidence in her and sure enough she also cut my hair as what I had envisioned. I now LOOOVE my hair again!
I’m so happy to finally have found a stylist near me that works wells with my hair needs and that is very personable, funny, and all around a fantastic person. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRISELDA! :)

Griselda made me a red head and I am beyond in love with it. She got my hair from a dyed black to ravishing red in one day and it was great conversing with her! Lovely lady!
The process included stripping my hair color so that the red would be rich. We put the red on twice and it came out perfect. I was nervous that my hair would be super damaged, but it’s totally the same just now a vibrant red! I love it! The whole process took almost 4 hours but Griselda was very accommodating and I enjoyed my time at the Salon.
I definitely recommend her services if you want bomb hair. She is at Salon Cashmere, which is inside the Hilton. Valet and self parking are free (she will stamp your ticket). And she works by appointments only! :) happy hair days!

Griselda is an amazing stylist, who I highly recommend for any cut, color, extentions or any other beautification needs. I have been going to her for 3 years now and appreciated her flexibility with my schedule. Always available, days nights or weekends. She spoils me and I always look fabulous!

Awesome hair stylists! I was worried at first because I’ve never had my hair worked on by anyone that wasn’t African American because other non African American stylists in the past haven’t had enough knowledge about African American hair & seemed afraid to style etc. Griselda is super nice & knows what she is doing! She gave me the best cut & style I’ve ever had & she wasn’t afraid to take out my weave that had been put in by another stylist.

When she helped me change my look she gave me lots of practical tips for styling my fine hair. Expert advice that I had never heard from another stylist and I’m still using the tips months later! If you love your hair, Griselda is your stylist. I’ve been going to her for my haircut and colour since 3 years. I had few bad experiences with other stylists and luckily my friend recommended her.
She always listens to my needs and explains what she gonna do. She is passionate about her job and it reflects on my hair every time. The best stylist, colorist and a sweet person .

I was skeptical about a non-​Asian woman giving me my haircut, but as it turns out, she gave me the best cut I’ve ever had. Hands down. Gris has been my hairstylist for the last 3 years. She has done an amazing job with my hair. She gives honest opinion if something will work or not work with your hair. Always gets my hair color and highlights just the way I want them. My hair is longer and healthier now that she’s been my hairstylist.

She is by far the most professional and detailed hair cutter/​stylist I have ever given pleasure to cut my rather complex hair style. If you are looking for the goddess of shears… you found her! Her welcoming, warm, and bubbly personality just grows on you and goes to extraordinary lengths to have to hair vision come true! From cutting, color, up dos, special occasions… she does it all! Griselda was such a hidden gem to find in Costa Mesa! I, along with just about every other girl I know, am fiercely protective and critical when it comes to finding a new hair stylist. One wrong move and you may walk out of a Super Cuts wannabe looking worse than Chucky. Lucky for me, not only is Griselda within walking distance from where I live, but she also does a great job and truly takes her time making sure my hair looks like what I envisioned. I have been several times now and each time I get compliments on how my hair looks… that’s the sign of a keeper! Griseld has definitely made a customer for life out of me.
