I cannot express in words how fortunate I am to have found this place. A friend referred me. I had taken my car to Crevier BMW for a recall. I was given a written estimate of repairs that were close to $ 4000.00 I was so stressed out to hear this bad news.
I took my car to Black Forest BMW and my car only needed $ 900.00 in repairs. That included brand new BMW parts and labor. They are the most honest place of business.
I am so grateful to have been referred to Black Forest. Being a single woman that has no understanding of car repairs. It is a relief to have this place for all of my BMW needs. The employees are also beyond words when it comes to integrity.

So pleased with the quality customer service I received! Was referred several years ago by another happy customer/​friend and I wouldn’t take my BMW anywhere else since my warranty ran out. They were so busy, but took my car in on very short notice and went out of the way to complete the work quickly and even picked me up, so I didn’t have to walk back! :) I highly recommend Black Forest BMW!

First experience with Black Forest BMW but it won’t be my last! All of my future car maintenance & repairs will be done here. My 328i runs better than it did when I bought it five-​years ago!

Today was my first experience with Black Forest BMW. Great family owned business and ALEX was very helpful with what I needed to get done. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. I plan on going back soon to get some additional repairs done. I know I will receive a fair price and quality work.

The service at Black Forest BMW was excellent and the team there was amazingly friendly and accommodating. If you are a customer that wants to be treated like a priority this is the place to get your car serviced. Additionally, the prices were reasonable for the high quality of work and the mechanics were very knowledgeable. Awesome place!

I’ve been bringing my 2001 530i to Randy for over seven years after getting a ridiculous quote from a dealer service center (won’t mention names). Randy has been nothing short of one of the best, most trustworthy and on-​time mechanics I’ve even known. His knowledge of specific BMW issues is amazing and I can’t tell how many times he’s saved me a lot of money by replacing a sensor or some other minor problem, where I would have had no idea if it was a $ 150 problem or a $ 1500 problem.
Without fail, when I leave my car at 8am, by 10am he calls and either tells me its ready (or will be ready soon), or what the deal is if longer. I’ve had friends looking to buy used BMW’s and he’s told me about things to avoid or be wary of and the good points of model years stretching back decades. Dude knows his stuff. As long as I have a BMW that’s out of warranty/​service with the dealer, Randy is my mechanic.

They helped me with my used car purchase. randy was very nice and told me which cars to steer clear from buying. I ended up with a great a car at a great price. Then had randy do some minor services on the car and everything went well.

The best people ever! Very very helpful! Where ever i go for vacation east coast to germany and Dubai they take care of my car while im gone! Where else i can get this kind of service! And i drive 2005 z4 and its at its best top shape all the time because they take good care of it!

Been using Randy for over half a decade on my late model BMW and always had quick and reliable service. Plan to keep using him until the car stops running, but so far he has kept it going (and I am hard on my car — I just run it until something goes wrong and he has to fix it).

Recently had some major work done on my car at Black Forest bmw Service. Couldnt be happier with the work and the great savings helped a ton too! I live in Dana Point and was sick and tired of getting ripped off by the «South OC» mechanics who assume everyone has $$$$$ Well worth the trip up to costa mesa. Thanks again Black Forest!!! I am sadden to do this, but I’ve had taken my car to Randy for the past 3 – 4 years. Over the years, the quality of the work has worsen. Randy is still overall great guy, but he isn’t the same person I’ve dealt with the first time.
I’ve been fairly loyal to sticking to 1 place for my BMW repairs, but I’ve decided to try out another place. They had failed to fix my coolant and oil leaking problem after spending 2−3k. As I looked back and compare, some of the stuff were overpriced and irrelevant to fixing the problem.

I have been taking my 2001 BMW 330ci here for at least 6 years. Randy, Ryan, Alex, it makes no difference who I deal with, they always go the extra mile. I was going to Vegas and as a single woman driver, I always stress out over seeing cars pulled over on the shoulder to and from so I take it here for a check up. I was upset that my oil light seemed to be coming on a lot until they let me know it’s been 2 yrs. since my last oil change! Even though I was under the miles of course they changed it for me and to ally my fears, they even gave me an extra quart JUST in case and put it in the trunk. I never feel ripped off, if they don’t think a repair is a must, they let me know. I feel the reason my car runs so well is because these are trustworthy men here. I should have Unilocaled this a long time ago! They only work on beemers but they will gladly refer you to another trusted service shop if you ask! I have never been one of the «shoulder» people!

I can’t say enough about what a positive experience it has been taking my car to Black Forest BMW over the past two years. Randy, Wolfgang, and Ryan run a top notch shop with an amazing family business atmosphere.
I was referred to Randy by another Audi shop when I was looking at buying a used high mileage BMW. Randy did a PPI on the car and was honest about the expectations that should have in purchasing it. Owning a car with over 160k miles does require a fair amount of replacing vital system parts, and he was very upfront about it all. I purchased the car, and have had doing all my service since. For the first year, I shopped his advise around to make sure it was fair. Into my second year I now trust his estimates (which he hardly ever exceeds) are going to be highly competitive and his work will be thorough. Randy has also referred me to other great shops for AC, Windshield and Interior work.
For me, this biggest tell of what a great shop this is is the smiles on people’s faces after they’ve paid and are leaving with their new fixed auto’s… If ever there where a time that people would appear frustrated it would be after paying… Not so much at Black Forest.

been taking my BMW’s to Randy for about 8 years now, a 1992 525iT and now a 2000 528iT. He’s always been very honest and straightforward with me.
he’ll tell me when I can get away driving with a certain condition, and for how long — instead of just telling me I have a problem that needs to be fixed.
BMW’s love to light up warning signs on the dash, and he’s always willing to plug my car in and read the diagnostics, mostly free of charge.
I once had a an electrical problem (no surprise with these cars), and after they couldn’t nail down the whole problem exactly, I was charged a minimal fee for parts only.
These cars can be high maintenance, especially as they get older, so it’s nice to have a good relationship with a specialist mechanic.
I trust the shop, and Randy, that keeps me going back. can’t say the same for the 2 other BMW shops I used to go to before I discovered Black Forest.

Randy has always been honest and fair person to deal with. I have been taking my 1998 328is to him for over a decade. He knows BMWs inside and out.

LOVE THIS PLACE. My BMW warranty just expired and of course all the warning lights pop up. I know absolutely nothing about cars but didn’t want to get ripped off at the dealership and heard very good reviews about Blackforest BMW. When I arrived at the shop Ryan explained how he was going to throughly check the car out and let me know what needed to be done. After arriving back later that day Ryan said it was just some minor things that were at a small cost. Then told me things that I may need in the future but I didn’t need now. Most places would have told me I needed them now and at a ridiculous price. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family. They were very knowledgable and friendly. I left there without the feeling of being ripped off and that’s hard to find these days.

I have a MINI and i don’t like going to the dealer due to how high it is in price. My friend told me she took her BMW to Black Forest and that Ryan had done repairs for her and how the price was very affordable. I stopped by a few days ago due to my need for new breaks. I was able to get in and out with my repairs and i didn’t leave feeling like i just got robbed. Oh and they also threw in a complimentary tire rotation which is super awesome of them. I will definitely be going back when in need.

I’ve had nothing but a wonderful experience with Black Forest BMW, and owner, Randy. He serviced my 2000 735i for about 5 years. Due to high mileage I sold the car. His service fees were way lower than other mechanics and the BMW dealer. He was fast, always fixed the problem the first time, courteous and professional.
I havn’t met a BMW owner that wouldn’t agree that BMW cars are maintenance whore’s! When they’re running right thy’re awesome. What does BMW stand for? ‘Bring mom’s wallet’. because they’re expensive to maintain. I’ve owned a lot of cars of all makes and models. none of which required near the repairs or maintenance of my BMW.
Once Randy repaired a problem, it never went back for the same problem. Just new unrelated problems arose.

I was referred by a friend and read the reviews… it seemed like the shop had a good reputation. I took my car in because the coolant was leaking. Randy diagnosed the problem, «fixed”/ replaced the coolant expansion tank and $ 300 later I was back on the road… for about a week. It was leaking again. I took it in and they «fixed» it, again. Two days go by and my car started to leak really badly (worse than before) and started to over heat… back to the shop.
This time, Randy told me that the coolant tank wasn’t the problem after all. There was a belt broken and wrapped around the upper hose. He wanted to charge me an extra $ 200 after admitting he never actually fixed the original problem. Of course I was concerned and upset. I attempted to discuss this with him but he refused to answer any of my questions and became very defensive and sarcastic… I kept my cool. I just don’t understand charging someone extra when the error was on the shop, not me.
I guess you find out someone’s true character in situations of conflict. I won’t be taking my car back here.
