This place is great. Best place to study. Kind of an academic vibe. Very friendly staff!

Waited 30 minutes for 4 items. 2 drinks and 2 dessert. The girl working didn’t even asked for my name. Someone mistakenly took my first frappé as a result. I’m not even sure why I waited half an hour for two desserts. It’s not like they had to make it or warmed it up.

The Barnes & Noble set up here is awesome. Loving the 2 story structure & the StarBucks right on the top floor surrounded by scenic seats.

They are wonderful and friendly! I like coming here after work to read and roam around. They always get my drink right! Although this place doesn’t have outlets for your phones, laptop ect. which sucks! Specially when you are trying to do homework you can’t charge your you’re electrical device. That’s about it but otherwise I enjoy this place! :)

One of the better cafes inside a B&N. Lots of tables in a huge space on the second floor that wraps around the service area. The menu is Starbucks, but without the ability to use your Starbucks app to pay or to use a gift card, which is true of all the B&N Cafes. Like most folks there, I buy a drink, and sit and read magazines and scan through possible book purchases, etc. I think every time I’ve been there, I’ve made a book or periodical purchase, so it’s not like B&N is my library and they get no business. If your SO is shopping Marshall’s or the Nordstrom Rack and you can’t stand to think about spending an hour or two there, this is a good place to pass the time and maybe learn something, too. Plus, you get the benefit of a happy SO who you were not pestering with«are you done yet?» over and over until the day is ruined for both of you. So, read. It’s good for you.

I come here about once a week and I get my usual Fiji Water and a Starbucks Chocolate Brownie with my friend here and I like it. Staff is nice, it’s not too crowded, and the place is kept fairly clean. However, it is not considered a «Starbucks» location. The Café is part of Barnes and Noble so be aware that Starbucks Gift Cards aren’t accepted here(minus one star for that). Besides that, everything else is great. It’s a nice place to sit down and have a cup of coffee or a snack. I myself am not too interested in drinking coffee, but it is a nice for everyone who likes Starbucks Coffee.

This café inside Barnes and Noble is big and most of the times you can find a table. This is not your regular Starbucks; it’s actually Barnes and Nobel but licensed to sell Starbucks. With that said the drinks are standard Starbucks drink but the menu is smaller. They don’t have Refreshers on the menu. They sell cheese cakes from Cheesecake Factory which I love. The pizza pretzel is also good as well as the cookies. If you want to come here to study be aware that they don’t have electrical outlet inside the café. The barristers also come around and tell you to leave if you are sitting in the café reading or studying but not buying any drinks. One time I saw a customer had a Starbucks drink on her table but it’s from other Starbucks and she was asked to leave. I have no problem with this as it seems fair if you are not spending money then don’t take up the spot. They often seem to have a line at the café. Usually there are 2 people working in the café but sometimes when there was one it gets pretty hectic. It takes forever to order the drink and then wail more to get your drink. It’s a convenient spot to sit down and read or surf the net. There are very limited seating anywhere else in the store and they are always taken so I would spend a few bucks buy a cup of coffee and relax. However, I won’t come here just for coffee.

Love how clean they keep it and I was greeted right away ! I mean yes I cant plug in my lap top but its okay I did however accomplish to finish my assignments. I know its not a Starbucks just a Barnes and noble café that serves Starbucks coffee but they have my Green tea lemonade which keeps me happy. Remember people its not a Starbucks just a café that serves Starbucks coffee is all so no our gold cards and points dont matter here just FYI

1 star for rude staff, well one in particular, everyone else seems ok. Not sure if the guy works there still, but there’s a young man with a piercing in his nose that works there. Now I’m all for tattoos and piercings, but when I’m trying to order food or drinks, the last thing I want to see is a bull ring on someone’s nose. Starbucks, you can be all liberal, but you need to set some dress code standards, not everyone wants to see that right before they want to eat. It gets pretty crowded here with people studying. You’d be surprised at how many people are studying there on a Friday or Saturday. It’s hard to find a table sometimes. I know they tell people they can’t sit there if they don’t order something. One night I was there and the employee with the bull ring on his nose just finished telling a customer sitting at the table something. Later I hear him talking very loudly to his other employee about how the other customer didn’t buy a drink and lost their wallet. The place was empty so he let the customer stay. I just found it unprofessional and rude for that employee to talk loudly about a customer so that everyone around could hear. Plus if the customer did just lose their wallet, have a lil compassion for them instead of being a prick. Since this is inside a Barnes and Nobles, they don’t take starbucks groupons. Honestly I would never come here unless I had to sit at one of the tables.

Café that covers its outlets with metsl plates. We can’t have people actually wanting to stay, read, and eat in our café, can we? They may as well remove the seats and turn off the lights. Maybe they save 10 cents by driving customers away, but I’m surr they also lose, um, customers.. . Best way to enjoy Barnes & Noble appeard to be by shorting thier stock.

THISIS A MESSAGETOSTARBUCKSMANAGEMENT. Worst Starbucks ever. I’m surprised you operate like this! 1. Incorrect drink measurement. «tall» was missing almost 1⁄3 the cup. When I asked the drink-making girl to fix it, she was SUPERCOLD/borderline rude. But, not just me, to everybody. It’s just how she is. 2. Caramel frap. tasted HORRIBLE. Bad measurements? Old coffee/mix? Not sure what, but we didn’t even finish it because it was so bad. 3. Cash register girl was nice, though. As a successful person myself with a positive outlook on life, one of the philosophies I live by is: THEPROBLEMISNOTTHEPROBLEM; THEPROBLEMISYOURATTITUDEABOUTTHEPROBLEM. I have submitted a picture of the receipt for your reference.

Read the books there, $ 22 bucks for a 100 page book… come on… technology killed the book store star. Cut a deal with my gf… bought her an $ 85 page book if we could leave. ok it has 247 pages… same difference. The other book really wasnt exagerated though.

There are definitely better options around for grabbing a cup of coffee or looking for a place to study/work remotly. Yes they have free wi-fi, but they don’t have any outlets and when my friend found one in the store, within 4 minutes a manager asked her to leave because the cable was a «tripping hazard». He said she was«free to use the wi-fi however». What good is free wi-fi if you don’t have power? Also, the bathrooms are barely one step up from a gas station, and had no paper towels. A total mess. There are WAY better options within walking distance. Cosi offers free wifi, outlets, and coffee. As does the other Starbucks location in the same complex. I don’t plan to return to this location, for coffee, or a book. We left and took our business elsewhere. Also, the last two times that I went in to find a book, they did not have it, but the Fashion Island store did. I’ll just start there in the future.

This is located on the second floor of Barnes and Noble. I was so confused with the line… there’s a thing roping off the line but the arrow says, «please line up here» pointing opposite of said roping off? Another person almost ended up cutting in front of me because obv. she’s been there before. I was surprised to find that there is food on the menu, such as pizzas and sandwiches. Their display case of sweets was pretty big, with some things from the Cheesecake Factory. The person helping me was nice, though she seemed harried. I understand, though. There were only two people working and a whole line of people in line. Le sigh. They don’t take the starbucks card, because it’s a Barnes and Noble café that SERVES starbucks coffee. A lot of people were miffed by this, but we all grudgingly parted with our cash, as we needed our coffees. I had to wait for a while, because our drinks were placed out of order, so a few other people after me got their drinks first. Bleh.

The staff at this place is awfully incompetent and unfriendly for a «noble» book-store. After spending an unreasonable amount of money for what can only be described as 3 coffees with some milk, I got annoyed by the staff several times, within 10 minutes, with absurd requests. First they told me and the friends I was with, that we had to throw away an empty drink-container of «Boudin»(store next door to Barnes and noble), for health hazards. Then another employee came over telling us, although the café was(for reasons that now appear obvious) completely empty, that we could not move 2 tables, that were next to each other. Although we were really quiet, as we are all law students busy with reading, I couldn’t help but feel not welcomed. I had a very unpleasant experience and I won’t be going back anytime soon, or ever.

Due to Borders being close for business this is the closest bookstore close to home. There’s a Starbucks inside with free wifi. Unfortunately with that type of service there’s always a drawback. NOOUTLETS to plug in your laptop to study. Not really useful, hence giving them the 3 stars. There’s a Starbucks across the street of Best Buy. Otherwise, this is the main book source you’ll find in South Coast.

Wanting to read the Harry Potter or the Hunger Games series? Well this is a great spot to do so. Maybe… You can pretty much any latest release book here at this 2 story library. It’s open late until 11pm every night and located around plenty of restaurants. The workers here are friendly but at the same time it looks like they hate their job. There’s a café upstairs however sometimes it’s impossible to find a table. It’s also mandatory that someone in the party purchases something from the café or you will be forced to give up your table. I recommend buying a small coffee or tea since they are the cheapest items on the menu. There are also couches and chairs floating around for your convenience if you’re wanting to read a book. However don’t expect it to be peaceful and quiet. Why is it whenever there’s a Barnes the high school kids seem to follow with their loud tantrums. It’s nearly impossible to get a good read in without being interrupted. Can’t find a seat? How about sitting on the floor. Nope, they won’t allow you to and will come by informing you to get up. If you’re in the area and just want to kill time come here and look at some magazines and books. However if you’re looking for a place to study go to your school library instead.

crowded… loud…and very messy. I thought they served the Tazo teas since they had the Chai boxes sitting out but they had a different brand of tea. Had this cranberry tea which wasn’t that great. Service was kind of slow as well. The cookie I got was kind of hard. Wish this place was cleaner and more organized… Lots of people were studying and reading here but overall too loud for my taste. Could have just been the day I went.

Can they really call this a café? It’s definitely a good place to read(there are no tables anywhere in the bookstore) but they will ask you to leave the area if you do not purchase something. The café offers a few food selections that don’t look or taste fresh at all. The Starbucks is barely a Starbucks because it’s privately owned; this allows them to make drinks the way they want which most of the time is of a lower quality than the typical Starbucks. It’s also not maintained very well. The tables are usually messy and there are chairs out of place everywhere. Go get your coffee at the Starbucks down the street and bring it here to sit down — they won’t know the difference but you definitely will.

If I need a place to focus or want somewhere to chill and read a book, this is the place I’ll come to. First, there are many tables in this café so most likely you’ll find a seat. Second, it relatively quiet, almost like a library. Third, there’s free wi-fi, unfortunately, there are no electrical outlets to plug your laptop to. Fourth, the drinks are okay. I usually get iced coffee or green tea lemonade. And like other B and N, this place closes at 11pm.
