Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park

My review was actually removed but I will post a shorter version:
My aunt came to check in and get her cabin the night before us. They checked for bedbugs and didn’t find any. After lights out, all the bedbugs came out of the walls and the floor. My cousins got rashes and one of them got sick. They slept in their car until morning, not to mention my grandma and grandpa had to find some place else to stay. They talked to the manager for their money back or a new cabin. He said that they will pay for breakfast, get them a new cabin for the night and clean the cabin. Then they have to move back to the original cabin. You can’t get rid of bedbugs in one day. So she said no, and he called to the cops. Then we arrived and he ran to my mom and asked if she was affiliated with my aunt. She said,“yeah that’s my sister”. He said there better be no problems or else he’ll kick us out too. Luckily there were no bed bugs in our cabin. My aunt and her daughters were not allowed to come back to the park at all.
The employees were nice and we had a good time after the incident. The manager was not nice at all.

All the Jellystones are basicly a franchise and have a lot of the same things but they’re NOT all the same. I love Yogi Bear and I’m old so yeah, I like to go once in awhile. It’s a little expensive for a campground but worth it if you have younger kids.
It’s not as secluded as, say, a lot of the campgrounds in The Smokies (park) but you don’t have to drive forever if you want to get anything either. Pretty close to a bunch of stores and attractions and most of the people that go here are very familycentric.
If you like to drink and party this is NOT the campground for you, you won’t be here long but luckily for you there are more then a few in the general area that don’t seem to care. This one does.
It’s fairly small but again, great if you have young kids and they know who Yogi is and not all that weird crap that passes for cartoons these days.

Fantastic campground! We typically prefer to tent camp in state park style electric campgrounds. For our first trip to the Smokies though, we decided to try a cabin here at Jellystone so we could focus more hiking than keeping the campsite maintained. We’re glad we did! The kids have loved playing putt putt while we’re busy cooking, and they memorized the activity schedule so they have something to look forward to when we get back. Everything’s very clean, the campsites are wooded, and you hear the sound of water near every site. The owners are extraordinarily friendly, great with the kids, and very helpful. We even locked our keys in the car while driving around Gatlinburg and they drove in to rescue us! (Had a spare key in the cabin.) when we visit the area again we’ll be returning here.

Excellent family resort. Plenty to do for the kids. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I love the new additions this year.

stayed here for a night last week. the campground is great for kids/​families and is really very beautiful. however, the showers are cold and you have to keep one hand on the knob to prevent the water from shutting off. also, they pack you in there like sardines. sites are about half the size of the average campsite — i felt like we were camping with the family next to us. the small space requires the fire pits to be crammed into whatever little corner of space is left. no room to sit around and converse — y’all have to sit next to one another instead. no grates for cooking so bring your own.

You know what? When my husband and I first booked our stay here, I was hesitant to tell people we were staying at a place where the mascot is Yogi Bear. But we did so much research, before our camping road trip, to find a place in the Smokies just right for us. We were tent camping and it’s important to us that the tents are separate from the RV’s. We couldn’t have asked for a better setup than the tent sites here.
You had to go through the RV park and cross a bridge, over a rushing creek, to get there. Our site was directly alongside the stream with ample space for everything. It was so peaceful, quiet, and all the facilities were clean. A lot of families stay out here too, we we worried it might be too crowded, but this wasn’t the case at all, they space the sites out perfectly. I love that it’s kind of old fashioned in the sense that you have to call to make a reservation, and check in desk/​shop was kind of frozen in time with it’s yogi bear trinkets and décor. They sell wood and other sundries you might need for camping. The employees were super helpful and friendly as well.
We loved every second of our stay and are definitely looking to return in the near future.

GREAT experience at Jellystone! We visited in our class A RV and enjoyed our stream-​side full-​hookup site and fire pit very much. The owner accommodated our request for the site (#36) where the 2 streams converge (even though when they are busier they cannot guarantee a specific site number) and it was a very scenic, forested location with the relaxing sound of the stream gurgling outside of our bedroom window. The other stream-​side sites were just as private and nice. There is enough space between sites for reasonable privacy.
They have facilities for RVs, tents and they have several cabins for rent. The campground is very well maintained, the facilities are super clean and the family works very hard to make sure that your visit is perfect.
The resort’s general store has a good mix of souvenirs, rv and personal supplies, coffee bar and area tourist information. They also have an ice cream parlor with home-​made waffle cones! You can order fire wood from the store & the owners personally deliver it to your site — what a nice touch! Plenty of amenities — Outdoor ping-​pong, outdoor movie pavilion, 9-​hole mini-​golf, swimming pool (with a separate kids’ pool). The WiFi was reliable but reasonably limited in speed — that is, fast enough to check email etc without wait, but not super fast for streaming movies — it was perfect for our needs.
Compared to other sites we drove by, this site was far back enough away from the road and forested enough to feel adequately submerged in nature, while still having all the amenities we needed. We were spending our day at Climbworks (zip-​lining) so the location for us was perfect just a few miles away. But if you are planning to head into Gatlinburg, you will have a 20 – 30 minute drive. I did not see a tram stop at this location. You would most likely need a car if you were visiting in a class A rv. As we were driving into Gatlinburg, some sites looked like road-​side parking lots with one or two trees — I am so glad we chose Jellystone over the closer-​to-​Gatlinburg sites.
We would definitely recommend Jellystone as a great place to stay while in Gatlinburg!

Hands down, the BEST family campground near Gatlinburg, TN! Owners are great! After you check in, they escort you to your site and help you set your camper up! Anything from help backing to leveling to hooking up! All the sites are shaded with most of the the creek! Pet friendly campsites! They have cabins to rent as well. Plenty of kid activities for the young ones to participate in! Putt putt, pool and arcade! Camp store had the necessities! We have camped here many times and will continue to camp there!

Fantastic campground. Plenty of amenities, the owner and family are extremely gracious and accommodating. They truly try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All the hook-​ups you need; cable, water, sewer, etc. VERY reasonably priced. Outdoor ping-​pong, outdoor karaōke pavilion, outdoor movie pavilion, 9-​hole mini-​golf, swimming pool, game room, etc. Extremely clean bathroom/​shower facilities. If you’re coming to Gatlinburg, TN to camp, this is the place to be. They have space for campers, and an area for tents only. A+++ facility!
