This Starbucks is a big plus for the Cos Cob community. It might have a few minor drawbacks, but everyone would miss it, if it ever closed. I hope it stays open forever, and I plan to go there often. 10 times better than Dunkin Donuts, even though Dunkin Donuts is pretty good. Nice scenic location, right next to a small park and pond, with many seats and benches.

Ordered my drink earlier through mobile and it was wrong. Dead wrong. It tasted like water and foam. This place used to be top notch… What happened?

Lately I rarely get a chance to sit at Starbucks and have my coffee. But last Friday I had a meeting near that Starbucks, and I had a45 minutes waiting. I ordered coffee, and opened my laptop. It was very relaxed and quite, and once you get used to the place you can actually be productive even in a Starbucks location(Which I usually consider as loud). Relatively big, with good atmosphere for working.

Dirty, run down and slow service. This place is just disgusting, it literally looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a year. The one table(yes there’s only one) in the front of the store is so wobbly that about a dozen napkins and coffee cup parts have been inserted in various spots, but it doesn’t seem that anyone has actually endeavored to fix the table or remove these now filthy accessories. So much for the table base, then there’s the table top and counter tops… if you’re into week old crumbs, spills of various sorts, fingerprints and dried goo, this is your place. Given the exorbitant prices for mediocre coffee one could at least expect a clean store. I guess if you don’t slip and break your leg on the gallon of coffee that was spilled on the floor, and you don’t get some disease from the lack of cleanliness, and you get what you ordered in less than an hour, maybe this place would be OK, but alas, that all seems to be too much to ask. I won’t make the mistake of wasting my time or money here again.

This used to be the best Starbucks in town but ever since last year it’s been TERRIBLE. I’ve come here several times since the summer and the employees(different every time) are rude, inefficient and act like you’re inconveniencing them by trying to order a cup of coffee. Also, the drinks are not hot enough but it takes sooo long to get it that it never seems worth asking them to remake it. It’s such a shame because this Starbucks used to be a friendly place that served great drinks quickly. I don’t know what happened.

Not very friendly staff. Kind of aloof and too busy talking amongst themselves to offer food service. Typical place with off duty employees loitering and creating a culture of why am I paying to be here?

This is one of the worst Starbucks locations. The baristas are legitimately rude – usually Starbucks baristas are overly friendly, but for some reason the ones at this Cos Cob location all have really bad attitudes. Also, the service is soooooooo slow and the parking is weak sauce(there are like 5 spots and it’s dangerous pulling off Puntnam if there is a wait for spots). Skip it if you can and go to Greenwich or Old Greenwich instead.

This is another of my «rescue» Starbucks. I use it on the commute home from New Rochelle to Darien when I am trapped on the Post Rd. as opposed to either The Merritt or 95. Often, when I simply cannot take it anymore and need my Americano, I will stop here. The parking is sparse – especially when so many other commuters have the same idea as me – however, it’s in a charming area of Cos Cob known as the Mill Pond area, and it’s a perfect savior when you need a break from the rough commute and are getting drowsy. They recently acquired a top-notch employee from the Darien store, Barry. The guy has a heart of gold, is always wearing a smile and never lets anyone or anything ruffle his feathers.

The manager scared me. I had no idea what she was talking about and just wanted to order a hot chocolate. My hot chocolate was not hot, warm might be giving it too much credit. They just stacked the drinks on the counter did not announce when it was ready. People were sniffing the cups to figure out what drinks were what. NASTY! I was not impressed. The wifi worked well and the seating was ample thats a plus. And they were the only place on the street we could find the times. But the reason we came, the drinks was a let down. They spend too much time screwing around behind the counter and not enough just getting their jobs done.

Parking Pro Tip: Turn on to Strickland to find 1 hour &12 hour free parking. Don’t be one of those [rude] people that backs up Putnam because you are waiting for one of the few parking spots at Starbucks. Plenty of free parking is a one minute walk away. Seating: ~10 tables, ~8 power outlets, 2 comfy lounge chairs

Always consistent. Staff is amazing drinks are made perfectly and never a long wait despite the line. Atmosphere is cosy and bathrooms are clean. So much better than Fairfield location. Recommend parking at the top of ave and walking down.

Everyone loves starbucks, but this location has the worst parking. If it wasn’t for the parking issue I would have given it 5 stars. It is very clean, a great place to relax, and of course they make one great latte!

Friendly baristas almost make up for the small, 7 – 8 car(max) parking lot. They have quite a few tables adjacent to power outlets so people who overstay their welcome because they have nowhere else to go(myself included) can park here for awhile without giving dirty looks to the people hogging the outlets.
