When I came to Cortez I needed some items including pain pills and toothpaste, so imagine how thrilled I was to find a Walgreen’s here. Quick, convenient and easy, I was so glad they were here. And I picked up some local goodies for the friends back home (Cortez souvenirs).

Thank goodness for Walgreens!
You’ll find it on your way to Mesa Verde National Park & it’s huge
They had a killer water deal going on…3 gallons for $ 3 And believe you me, you’re gonna need all that water & then some
You’re hiking around Cliff Dwellings, at 7000 ft, in the 95+ degree summer — doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know you’re going to be parched
Also found a cool, fun, shady hat. You’ll also find all the usual Walgreens essentials… snacks, toiletries, & whatnot
Which reminds me — you’ll also want to probably stock up on the snacks here, as there are no snacky-​type shops inside the Park & you’d be driving 1 — 1.5 hrs ONE WAY to get back down to Cortez & who wants to do that?!
There’s even a drive-​thru pharmacy pickup window — woot!
