Trigger Point Myotherapy is a non-​invasive therapeutic modality for the relief and control of muscle and connective tissue pain. This hands-​on approach is based on the lifelong medical research of Dr. Janet Travell and David Simons. These pioneers discovered the relationship between chronic pain and the source — trigger points. Trigger Points are highly irritable spots in a muscle that contribute critically to pain. When correct pressure is applied to these painful areas the muscle can be «detrigged», bringing relief. Most patients with myofacial pain and dysfunction see excellent results, and a quick return to their normal daily and professional activities.

All therapeutic work is performed with the client clothed. All boundaries are respected.

Throughout his career as a Neuromuscular Therapist, Michael Westgate has dedicated himself to providing the highest standard of muscle therapy possible. Michael combines 21 years of education and professional experience with compassion and true concern for the comfort and satisfaction of his clients. He takes the time to talk and listen to his clients helping them make confident, informed decisions about their health.

Michael’s education in alternative health lifestyles and therapies started at a very young age. His grandfather Harry grew up in Oakland, California at the turn of the century, which at the time was the center for alternative health in America; Grandfather Harry held health experts like Dr. Bragg and Jack Lalanne as his hero’s. Watching Grandpa Harry living a long active life, free of disease and pain, had a profound impact the generations to come. (Harry lived until 1991, when he passed away peacefully in his sleep of simply old age.) Michael’s father, Roland Westgate,
