Description

Specialties

Specializing in diagnosis of hearing loss, hearing aids and treatment of tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Audiologist Kim Zeller Hoppin, AuD, FAAA, has over 20 years of experience from diverse settings including UCSF Medical Center, private practice, research institutions and hearing aid manufacturing companies.

Dr. Hoppin became an audiologist because of its intriguing mixture of art and science. She enjoys the creativity required to address individuals’ needs with the latest technology after carefully listening to their specific hearing difficulties. She also believes that making a significant improvement in people’s communication abilities does not need to cost a fortune or be visually noticeable.

Hearing loss can occur at any age, and half of Americans with hearing loss are between 45 and 74 years old. Hearing aid users are viewed as more adaptable and optimistic than those who reject aids. Untreated hearing loss is linked to depression, memory deterioration and career setbacks.
