Looking for a new place to eat we came across this bistro through Unilocal.Although it indicates it is not kid friendly, we took our 10 year old son. We were welcomed by friendly staff and immediately seated. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and my husband ordered a glass of Port wine. We started out with the chicken kebabs and Asiago cheese dip. Both appetizers were delicious! Our son went on and on about the taste of the grilled chicken. For our main course we ordered filet, grilled chicken for our son and my husband ordered the Sea Bass. This food was phenomenal! The filet was cooked perfectly and the Sea Bass melted in your mouth. Again, our son went on and on about the flavor of the grilled chicken. So much so that the waitress told the chef and she came out to meet our son. She then asked if he wanted to come back to the kitchen to learn how to cook it! The evening then went from dinner to an event! We had a great time talking with Logan, the bartender, who also had a connection with our son! All in all the night went from a casual dinner out to a night our son will never forget! This place rocks! We will be back soon! Thank you Chef Susan and Logan!

Hungry on the trail from Dallas to Houston? Tired of fast food? This is a wonderful, relaxing stop along the way. Good food. Clever menu. Personable service. I had a crostini appetizer. A bit sweet but saved most of it to accompany the pork medallion main course. Marinated Pork medallions, perfect risotto, and fresh broccoli steamed to perfection. All for about $ 22! Nice meal. Excellent value for the price charged. If you are a food snob trying to compare this to over-the-top Houston/Dallas darlings then this might not be your best choice. If you are hungry and appreciate good honest food for a great value then I highly recommend stopping in.

Across the Street Wine Bistro is like a drop of rain in a desert. I have lived in Navarro County for 3 years after living in the Metroplex for many years. I had given up on trying to find anything that remotely resembled fine cuisine here. Truly exciting to discover this establishment. Food and service was incredible! Cudos to Chef Terry Newsome and a wait staff!

I had a glass of moscato for 9 $. Husband had a cheap Zinfandel for five. We ordered the beef kabobs for an appetizer. It was chewy and dry. It was presented very prettily. For 13 $ I had hoped it would be tender and juicy. For our main meal I had the basalmic pork tenderloins. The meat was very tender. The sauce was ok. The tart taste left me having a sensation of biting aluminum two hours later. I love basalmic so this was a no brainier. Needed to reduce a bit longer. The sides were broccoli and onions. Nice flavor and doneness. The other was a herbed mash potato. They were dry. Flavor was good just no creaminess. Husband had the chicken lemon picatta. The meal was enjoyable. His chicken tasted like a frozen cutlet. The main entrées were from 16 to 35 dollars. We opted out of the deserts. Truffles. Crème brûlée or ice cream with port. They sounded great but we were very full. May go for desert only next time. All in all its the nicest place in Corsicana to have a date night. The staff were attentive and kind. Food and drink were exactly as ordered. Be prepared to spend what you would at a high end restaurant. Menu is limited but good options. I tried to be as honest as possible in our experience.

I had a great meal at Across the Street Wine Bistro last Friday night. We started out the afternoon sitting out the bar, visiting with the great staff over a nice glass of wine and appetizers. Decided to stay for dinner, which was greatly enjoyed by all. We had the flank steak, shrimp and grits, pork tenderloin and tasted each others and couldn’t decide what we liked best. Just a really nice evening! Looking forward to returning my next time in Corsicana.
