So I work walking distance of this place and I’m here A LOT! But today I got a little upset when I came in to order and nobody spoke English to take my order… A customer gave me a rude look because I asked if anyone here spoke English. I wasn’t being rude I wanted to order food … So I had to wait until the girl came back from her break and then when she got to the register she acted annoyed… I mean it was a shrimp cocktail. It wasn’t anything special.

I ordered carne asada burrito. Asada thorta, I’ve had a friend recommend this place and I decided to stop by one day and see if it was as good as he said it was. The burrito was good had everything in it very tasty but my opinion about the thorta not so great. It was missing the flavor of my burrito, maybe the burrito took all the flavor ahaha nevertheless I tried this spot and it was a 7 out of 10

Not a very clean looking restaurant. Carne asada burrito was packed with beans and very little meat. Meat was low grade beef a lot of nerves and connective tissue. Very chewy meat. Not good meat.

El Tacos Lucas was my first ever taste of authentic Mexican Food. The taste and textures of their food is just phenomenal. One of my all time favorites for hole-in-the-wall Mexican places in Corona. They are a must try! Not a place for the Mexican food ‘snob’ though.

Very good food at this place. I just wish they made their tortillas fresh, then they would be great. I love getting a burrito from here on my lunch break.

Menudo sucked!!! It had no & I mean no husk(corn). I had to drown the taste with lemon. Flour tortillas tasted uncooked. Customers came in bare footed & no restrooms for customers only for employees. The sprite was flat. Refills are ½ price. Very disappointed in the taste of the food. I do not recommend this place.

I eat here for lunch at least once a week and they are very consistent in quality and friendly service. My favorite budget dish is the BRC burrito which surpasses all other BRCs I’ve ever had. Enchiladas are excellent as well. My Mexican co-worker says their refried beans are very authentic if that matters to you. They do present a limited menu but sometimes, you just have to know what to ask for. My co-worker introduced me to the garlic fried shrimp and/or fish dinner plate and I’m a fan, esp of the fish since the portion is generous. Also highly recommended are the drinks. Jamaica, horchata or tamarindo — they’re all tasty and a perfect compliment to any meal from there. Alberto’s across the street has more variety but Taco Lucas has hole in the wall charm and authenticity.

This place was average at best. Carne Asada burrito and taco were nothing too spectacular, I have had better. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but if you are close and in the mood for mexican food… well, no, go some where else.

We ordered a taco salad(tostada) and a taco combo including a drink for total under $ 10. The service was great and very vegetarian friendly. Taco salad was beautifully made like a big ice cream sundae. Both dishes were very fresh and good portion. The two of us barely stuffed it down. Ambience was average. We will definitely eat there again.

My boyfriend & I finally made our way here tonight. It’s just down the street from my house & we’ve been meaning to. He got the Two Taco combo & I got the Cheese Enchilada & Taco combo. I just want to say we were really hoping this place would be good because we love little ‘hole in the wall’ places, but that’s not what happen. The food came out looking great, but it didn’t taste great. EXCEPT for the tacos, the taco meat(carne asada) was bomb, but the portion sizes and everything else was not. My cheese enchilada was just… BLAH. The red sauce tasted almost sweet(which I think is icky) and it was just… no flavor whatsoever. Also, the rice looked fluffy and good, but it tasted like nothing. No flavor yet again. The beans were only slightly better. So overall, the service was good, but the food was not so much. Except the tacos, but I could just go to Albertos across the street for way better everything.

This place is just fine… Tacos are kind of pricey and the portions are small, taste wise not bad but other taco places could top this place easily.

I’ve eaten here once; to me the tacos were average, as far as the tacos at other places comparable to this.(Not to say they were bad; they were fine; just that they were average.) If I was in this area and had a choice of this or some chain restaurant, I would definitely go for this.(I love these kinds of tacos!) However, if you put this place next door to some other such restaurant of its kind, it wouldn’t stand up to the competition. The service is very, very good here. The people who run the restaurant are very, very friendly. I felt warm and right at home, moreso than in other comparable places I’ve eaten at. It was clean, nize, and cozy. So if you’re all about that — then this would be good for you — but if you’re more about the food(which I am), then, as I said, the tacos are good but not among the best… :) Another plus for this restaurant is that they have a fridge full of yummy looking desserts(which I did not try, but wish I would have.) Some places like this do not have all those dessert options. On the flipside again, I think their menu is more limited — they have different things, not just tacos — but other comparable restaurants typically have even more options.
