Our foot and ankle specialists are board certified and we specialize in the diabetic patient, wound care, and sports injuries. Dr. Jeffrey Katz is also known as «The Running Foot Doctor» as he competes annually in running full marathons and ragnar races. His main goal is to get our patients back outside, and on their feet, doing what they love. We treat conditions such as: bunions, heel pain, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, cysts, infections, arthritis and achilles tendon pain and fractures of any kind in the foot and ankle. We always welcome new patients to our Podiatric practice. We treat patients of all ages! Our staff speaks Spanish, Hindi, Gujarti, Navajo, Korean and German. Please call for your appointment today!

History

Established in 1990.

Dr. Jeffrey Katz was born and raised in Anaheim, and was in the first graduating class from Canyon High School. After completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, he attended medical school in San Francisco. His post graduate training continued at L.A. County/​U.S.C. Medical Center, and reached it’s completion at Loma Linda in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Katz has been practicing for almost 30 years, but has remained committed to the teaching of fellow doctors. He has served as the director of the Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency Program at the Corona Regional Medical Center, along with being involved as a clinical and surgical instructor at several hospital based residency programs in Orange County. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Katz is married and is the proud father of 4 children and 7 grandchildren. During his times off work, he enjoys his two favorite hobbies– running and music. Although there never seems to be enough time to train, Dr. Katz will run 3 – 4 marathons a year. Many of our patients have remarked how they have seen him and his faithful ipod, head swaying to the music, churning down the Santa Ana River Trail. And for those who he has treated in the office, he is known for his constant singing, particularly classic 60’s and 70’s rock.

Not concerned about your time or your money. I brought x-​rays to him upon my initial consultation and he had new ones taken though I had a whole suite of x-​rays that I gave him of the problem area that the primary physician/​referring doctor had taken. After taking the second set of x-​rays he never consulted me of his x-​ray findings. I went back for a second visit, waited well beyond my appointment time and when I was seen by the doctor he started taking foot impressions without consulting me. I commented that orthotics cost a lot of money. his response was «don’t worry about it your insurance company covers it». Prior to my third visit to pick up my orthotics, I called a half hour before my appointment time and arrived prior to my appointment time. After waited for nearly 45 minutes without anybody talking to me, telling me they were running late, I left the office. When I was called the next day by an office assistant I expressed my dissatisfaction she was extremely rude, talked over me and treated me as if they were the customer and I was the client. She said if I would like to call back and talk to the manager I could. I expressed that if they were concerned about how I was treated then the manager should call me or better yet the doctor. She replied with a huff stating that the doctor would not call me back, as if he was too good to call his patients.
I stated this type of service was caused by either a «don’t care» attitude or too much business and unable to manage. She said they were on vacation.
I stated their vacation does not warrant setting folks up for appointments and then not meeting those commitments, again they’re to victim. I’m sure if I was 45 minutes late that the doctor wouldn’t wait for the his patient.
Still no orthotics and no call back.

I went to see Dr. Katz and was very pleasantly surprised to see that he is a kind Dr. Who listened to my concerns and genuinely tried to understand the kind of problem i was experiencing. I am hopeful that ill be feeling better through his treatment. The staff is also friendly and welcoming which always makes for a nice visit. I will definitely recommend Dr. Katz to others.

I chose Dr. Katz to treat my running injury because of his extensive experience as a marathoner himself! I was not disappointed. He is friendly, efficient, and professional and I received excellent care each time I visited his office. He throughly reviewed all of my treatment options and answered all of my questions… and most importantly, got me back on my feet and onto the trails again. :) The staff at Premier Foot and Ankle Group in Corona are nothing short of amazing as well — always welcoming and the epitome of professionalism. Dr. Katz and his team are awesome!

Suffered with pain and a limp with what felt like a huge bruise on the ball of my foot for SIX YEARS … after four different podiatrists over the years with everything from hot/​cold to expensive orthotics that did absolutely nothing… I decided to try one more doctor. Dr. Katz said he had a theory that had a 50% or better chance and he gave me shots for three visits (three weeks apart), no change after one shot, 90% better after two and after three I am 95% pain free for the first time in years. It has been four months now and it is a LIFE CHANGER to be able to walk and even to carry weight without pain. LOVE HIM.

My husband broke his leg last month and was in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Yorba Linda. Dr. Katz came in and trimmed his toenails, assuming that was part of the service from the facility. We then got a bill in the mail for $ 40.00 (for trimming toe nails). When I called the office to double check the amount, the lady was quite rude — she said he is a doctor, not a manicurist. How snotty. Maybe Dr. Katz is good, but he certainly needs a billing person who will at least listen and not be sarcastic, totally unwarranted.

I would NOT go to this doctor or his Anaheim Hills Office. The staff in both offices are extremely rude! Not happy to be around. Wait time is very long because there are 12 other patients with the same time appointment time. Saw Dr. Katz 3 times, first time was a waste. Did not even look at my x-​ray that I brought in and paid to have done at another location. I got Orthotics made by him 2nd time. They are JUNK, I now have to get new ones made by my new doctor .3rd time being there he said he gave me an x-​ray but never did. This is a scam doctor. I. Thanks fro nothing doctor and your crabby staff. Note: If you do not like people, you are in the wrong business. Dr. Katz, you should be ashamed of your self and your staff.

Not sure where the 1 star review comes from (left field?) but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Katz. Friendly, kind, courteous and knowledgeable. I’ve gone to him several times over the past 10+ years for many things as has my dad. We keep going back (requested through our HMO) for a reason!
