Hunny Do Artificial Grass

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They were great when we were buying the turf but non responsive since. I have had the turf for 5 weeks and it looks like this. Weeds are growing from the edging onto the sidewalk and growing through the turf. All of that in 5 weeks of owning it. We have tried to get in touch with them and even emailed them the pictures and no response. This is not what you expect when you spend over 8k.

I am a competitor in the artificial turf Installation industry and I had a run-​in with Hunny Do Turf, ironically we showed up at the same time at same place for the same estimate. Now this has happened to me on a few occasions and most of the time it doesn’t end well and companies get.ummm.“butt hurt” is the only way I can describe it. I forget the reps name I ran into today in Oceanside, but, he was fabulous. The rep that was estimating for Hunny Do Turf was very polite, in midst of the awkward situation, extremely friendly and was a great representation of their corporation. Most of my competitors get very aggresive or ignorant in this situation, instead it seemed like we worked together to help the end client. Helping the client is all that any of us in the artificial turf industry strive to achieve, well most of us anyways…
I cannot comment on the turf or installs, and that would be unfair as a competitor, I will say they appear to be very professional and in this industry that is a bonus (and sad to say rare) Best of Luck to Hunny Do artificial Turf/​Grass and I hope they stay as professional as they were today

We hired Hunny Do’s sister company Save Pro Turf (same owner as we were told) to install about 450 square feet of artificial turn at our condo in Rancho Mirage. The saleman/​owner Frank told me how great the service was and how professional the company is and even trashed the competition by telling us not to go with a landscaping company but to use a company that specializes only in artificial turf. So we went with them. The day of the installation, we both took off work, drove the hour and a half to Rancho Mirage from our home in Orange County to be there at the 9:00 install time. At approximately 8:30 Tom called us from Save Pro and identified himself as the owner and said they were out of stock. Now we placed the order over a week before the install date and we still have a hard time believing they did not know they were out of stock until 30 minutes before the installation was to begin. The owner Tom was rude and his only suggestion was that we cancel the order and we could go elsewhere. After a few other calls, we contacted a landscaper who completed the job the next day! It looks great and we could not be happier with the finished job. I requested a call from Frank, the Salesman/​owner who three days later still has not called back to explain. I am just thankful that I did not pay them any money. I would never use this company or recommend them to anyone. Poor service, rude owner and total unprofessional. It turns out that there are dozens of companies that install artificial turf so save yourself some time and aggravation and hire someone other than Hunny Do and Save Pro Turf.

Hunny Do installed my artificial grass & putting green in December 2011. Several months later I called Hunny Do and explained that the putting green was great but that the artificial grass was matting, i, e, laying flat in areas – like footprints on an old shag carpet. Chris, who was the sales representative for the original sale, came back to my home and agreed with my concerns, and Hunny Do replaced the grass – the putting green was fine.
In short, my experience with the Hunny Do office staff (Hannah Cochran) and sales staff (Chris) was professional and responsive, and a pleasure to work with. The original crew that prepared the area and laid the grass and putting green was on time, pleasant to work with and did an excellent job of installation and clean up. When the grass was replaced several months later, a different crew also showed up on time, was pleasant to work with, and did an excellent job of installation and clean up. I’ve had no problems with installation at all. Unfortunately shortly after the second installation, the new grass also began matting, i, e, laying flat in areas. When the matting irritates me enough I plan to have someone install grass from a different supplier.
When asked by visiting friends if I would recommend Hunny Do, my recommendation is conditional. I tell them that the sales experience and installation experience (both times) was superb but the quality of the grass itself does not meet my expectations and the matting annoys me.
I recently contacted Hunny Do and offered to accommodate them if they wanted to further evaluate my artificial grass to determine whether they should look for another turf supplier. They never responded.

Great company with very professional employees! We had about 225 Sq ft installed in the backyard in October. Chris Ackerman our sales person came out and went over all samples with such knowledge. We have three dogs (small, med and large) and my biggest concern was the smell. He made us feel comfortable with the choice and we are very happy.
Hannah Cochran the office manager was so great to work with also. Calls were always returned in a timely manner and she was also so very friendly and professional.
Our work day was perfect and the work staff was so polite. They had no problem explaining the process as they were going (we are the inquiring minds type of people). Finishing in a few hours we were happy campers. It looks, feels and does not smell with the dogs doing business.
We recently had noticed the grass showing some expansion and I called Hannah and was told they would be out this weekend to adjust the grass. No hassle… just help!
I cannot say better things about this product and the company. We are so very happy and feel they were very reasonable with the competition. I have a very happy hubby that does not have to mow the backyard! Would use this company again in a flash!

We have a courtyard in front of our house that is about 450 square feet. The previous owners had an in ground hot tub that did not work. I do not want to use a hot tub in front of my house and it was a hazard for the kids. So, a while back I cut out the fiberglass and filled in the hole with dirt.
We could never get anything to grow in the area except weeds. So, we decided to install artificial grass and put up some sort of a shade structure.
I contacted Hunny Do. They gave me a quote to break up the concrete and install the grass. They said it would probably take two days. Because this is their only business, they appeared better equipped to do the job than a general landscape company. They were the only one of the three companies I contacted that provided any samples.
The staff, from the person who answers the phone to the estimator to the installation workers were all very courteous.
One of the installers was at our house by 8:10 a.m. on the day of the install. He worked until 7:30 p.m. to get the job done in one day. He worked hard and was pretty meticulous because he had some of the guys redo stuff that he did not like.
We are very happy with the new faux grass. It looks great, and I do not have to mow or water. Now I need to figure out how to get some shade in the area.
Hunny Do seems to have done a great job and I really like the service mentality. I would use them again for artificial turf installs.
UNOFFICIAL UPDATE: The grass went in on Monday. By the time the job was finished, it was too late to really enjoy. Yesterday after work, my wife and I went out with our youngest. He ran around and loved it. Our oldest said he did not like the grass because it was fake. Then he walked across it, did some tae kwon do moves, and decided it was great. Today, they are playing soccer on the new pitch.
It seems like it was a great investment for my boys.
