AAA Master Key Maker

These guys suck! Allen provides terrible customer service. He told me he could program a key for a Prius but not so!
It took him forever and he could not get the smart key to work correctly and stated he could only finish the job if I bought another key and started blaming the car for this issue. My BS detector was going off pretty strongly.
So after failing to program any smart key functions to the car FOB he wanted me to still pay $ 250 for that key FOB. I’m like are you kidding me? He then started to rant about wasting his time and gas and left me stranded. Really? Sitting around waiting several hours for him to show up and do nothing is not a waste of my time!?! JackHole!
Think twice before you make the call. Never again. I should have listened to the bad reviews.
Update:
I called another professional locksmith from the OC within the hour and the guy had the car fully programmed with only one key and up and running in half an hour. I noticed he used the same programming tool ALLEN did. So, what Allen stated about it being my car and needing 2 keys was a lie just his inexperience. Beware.

So my friend and I went out last night when she lost her key. Thanks to her dealer she was able to get a hold of Allen. Allen was very patient and was very informative with all the information my friend needed. As we proceed to get her key with him, Allen helped her explain the different prices of key, and the process he was going to do. During the process he was very nice and communicated, not just about the job but as a friend. Thank you Allen for helping my friend we will certainly call back for any other service in the future. I definitely recommend anyone to contact you for anything. it was great meeting you and getting to know you.

Alan, from Master Key Maker is a excellent person who went above and beyond for me today 01÷161÷16 that came to help me out in Anaheim Statium to help me out on a very difficult night that was going bad and he was nothing but kind and caring. I definitely recomend him he knows what his doing, you couldn’t be an better hands.

Allen! Thanks for bailing us out of a bad situation! Quick response to a late evening call. Allen quickly introduced himself and gave a quick chat and then immediately started to work on my vehicle! He even prepared us by letting us know that it possibly could take a few hours. We remained calm and chatted with him until the work was complete. «Overall» Allen was not your typical technician, he was super cool and talked to use like we were friends and not just another customer … «ROCK ON BRUTHA»

He was able to do make a new key when I lost my original and my spare. Then he gave me a new key code, amazing work! it is however really pricy. I was charged 250 $

Allen was super professional and friendly. Coming to my house when I had lost my car key within a few hours of contacting him. He even helped me get a refund with AAA. After he made my key, I noticed a slight wind sound coming from my door. I texted him and the next day he came out to check the noise, and fix it within 5 minutes!
I appreciated his honesty and great customer service.

Awesome service!!! I called this guy last minute at 6pm on a Sunday stuck in Pico Rivera, lucky me lost my only key for my 2014 Toyota Corolla! Anyway so called him up and he was here asap and got me a programmed transponder key for my car. Very satisfied with this guy and very much appreciate this guy for coming so last minute on a Sunday. Had been looking around for sometime because every where else they were charging me 260 but he had the best prices in oc let alone he came to my place and with in an hour if not less I had my car running thanks such a good guy he also gave a follow up call to make sure everything was working thanks again I’m saving his number for sure BEST PRICE !!!

I called because couldn’t not find our daughters keys. I called and spoke with Allen he gave me a time frame when he would arrive at my house and he arrive promptly when he said he did. He did a great job was really fast I would recommend him to anybody

Like others have stated, AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I was looking to make a copy of my car keys so that I would have a spare. Although he arrived on time, that was the only highlight from my experience with him. After he cut my key, he had trouble fitting the new key smoothly into the key hole. With some additional grinding to the key that he had to modify (blaming that the key was too thick), he was able to fit the key in (but not smooth). The key required wiggling to go in. He then spent another hour or so trying to program the new key. Couldn’t get the new key to program… Again blaming it was a faulty chip key. After a couple of tries, he tells me that he will guarantee that he can get it to work if I pay him additional money since he took longer than expected on this job. After some bickering and telling me that he couldn’t do anything further unless I give him more money, I gave up. Paid him the $ 50 (this was the original agreed price for cut and programming even though he only cut my key which was poorly done) and that was that. Lesson learned on my part for cheaping out on things that require skill and precision. After he left, I took a closer look at the key he cut and compared it to the original keys. Guess what… Doesn’t match 100%. I took a metal file that I had and grinded down on the new keys to match it with the original keys. I got it to slide in and out perfectly smooth. So much for his super expensive laser cutting device.
Take my review for what it is… Sometimes, it’s better to go with someone who can guarantee that the job gets done right and not charge you if he is unsuccessful. Look elsewhere for your keying needs. This guy is not worth the hassle. Unprofessional.

After taking the same key to another shop to get it programmed, they had no issues. The new locksmith was able to re-​program my new key within a couple of minutes. So my key was not the issue.

Amazing. I lost my keys in the morning. I called Allen and he drove to me and made me two keys in under 35 minutes. I’m so happy to be on my way now, wow. He’s the best… Knows what he’s talking about… Use him.

I have been trying to get my key for my car for 2weeks now at a reasonable price and have not been successful until today when a friend of mine recommended me to AAA master key maker guy…

While in the Inland Empire, I was sharing my car for a day. The person I was sharing it with was going to drive to Ontario Airport and park my car. Later I was to be dropped off at the same Airport and pick up my Car. The problem I faced was… I didn’t have a second key. Somehow, I misplaced my 2^nd key and had no time to hunt it down. I picked up a key blank (older model with a actual Key is required) from an Auto Dealer Parts shop, called AAA Master Key Maker and asked about his availability. Over the telephone I got a women, she said the locksmith was almost done with another job. I asked about pricing. Because newer Vehicle makes and models require different types of keys I think I was given a high quote. My vehicle requires a plain basic key, nothing special about it, no chips, etc. I confirmed this with the dealer I did not need anything more than a cut Key. I called back and stated this information also stating what the dealer told me about pricing (what they pay for cut keys). I forgot the gentleman’s name who cut my key but he matched the price the dealer stated they pay. We met while he was working through his day he cut the key and tested it. My transaction was complete and my key works!
I am giving 4 stars because there was confusion over the type of key to cut and pricing. I think it would have been pretty easy to ask the year, make and model, confirm the type of key required by checking the Internet or calling a dealer before giving me a final price the first time.
I paid cash. I did not ask if he accepts credit cards.

If you’ve ever experienced the unfortunate event of locking your keys in your car then you are painfully aware of the dreadful predicament this type of unforeseen event can put you in. A couple of months ago I went through, hands down, the most unbelievably frustrating chain of events that started with the frantic realization that I had locked my keys in my car and to top it off… I had locked them in the trunk and lucky me had the valet lock for the trunk enabled denying access to the trunk from inside the car. I had just purchased this car a month prior to the incident from the original owner and was only ever provided with one master key. Being a member of AAA I didn’t have much concern of my predicament being rectified, at least not until I had been through two AAA service techs and one trip to the dealer only to discover neither of the technicians had successfully gained entry into my trunk and the $ 79.00 key the dealer had cut me turned out to be the wrong key. By this time it was about 9pm and I had literally been locked out of my car the entire day. I finally took it upon myself to contact a locksmith on my own accord. In reality, I actually share this story quite often, and to this day I’m still in awe and utter amazement of the act of kindness and pure generosity that had been extended to me and in the most professional manner. Now, I am an Executive Recruiter and speak to literally hundreds of professionals a week. This company and the professionals running it are truly what you would call experts in their industry. In the end I had sort of a unique situation, as it turns out I discovered after two more trips to the dealer that the key code that had been logged into the Lexus database for my car at the time it was built, had been logged incorrectly. The Dealer couldn’t help me, AAA couldn’t help nor could any of the other locksmith companies that AAA had sent out, help me. In my situation a key had to be made to fit the key cylinder, and because the numbers (code) for the tumblers inside the key cylinder were a mystery to All, only the skills of A Master Locksmith and Key Maker would do. To top it off when AAA Master Key Maker arrived and assessed the time and work that would be involved with rescuing me from my problematic dilemma, I didn’t even have enough money at this point because of all the money I had just paid out, and only to be left in the same hole. Now, for a Dealer to hire a Locksmith to come to their location and perform the necessary skills of making a key without the knowledge of the code, the Dealer would charge you as much as $ 800 to $ 1000. This company charged me less then a 3^rd of what the Dealer would, and even though I didn’t have the full amount
the owner of this company stayed and helped me anyway.
You won’t find a more professional, kinder or better service Locksmith anywhere.
