The guy that fixes my car has been fixing it for 27 years. The electrician I use, I’ve been using for 20 years. The guy that cuts my hair has been cutting it for 32 years. I had a guy who took care of my AC for as long a time as the folks above. He had a devastating injury and had to pull out of the AC business.
So last night the temperature in my place climbs about 5 degrees. I hear ads on the radio for air around the clock all the time. Those are the folks who came to mind and those are the folks I called. They took my information and scheduled an appointment for today.
Today comes and the AC guy bangs on the door. I let him in and show him to the air handler while telling him about the night before.
He turns on the AC, took a few seconds to start up. While he was waiting he began to tell me how poorly the AC was installed. I listened to what he had to say. After his critique of the installation he went outside to place his gauges on the ports attached to the condenser.
He came back in the house telling me I was extremely low on freon. Okay so far, makes sense.
He goes on to tell me that I have a leak. I asked him how do you know I have a leak. He tells me I’ve been doing this for 25 years and you have a leak. I tell him you doing something for 25 years isn’t proof that I have a leak. How do you know I have a leak? Now the double-​talk begins. He tells me about a machine he has that will tell him where the leak is. I asked him how does your machine know where a leak would be? Again with the 25 years business.
Red flags are popping up all over the place now. I asked him again how does this machine tell you where a leak is? There’s a copper pipe that is about 35 feet long attached to the air handler on the inside and the condenser on the outside. And you’re saying to me that this machine is going to tell you where the leak is. He says absolutely.
Get out of my house.

This is an extremely well organized AC and appliance company.
Whenever I need service I call and they have very accurate and detailed records and know exactly what equipment they have installed.
However, on my last issue they took nine days to replace a coil that was under warranty.
It was in a rental unit, and I had to give the tenant 15% off on their rent because they went so long without having air-​conditioning.
Unfortunately Air Around The Clock did not give me any sort of discount for the delay in handling the service call to replace the coil.
Two days after it was replaced the air conditioning was not working again because they had overcharged it with Freon.
My previous experience was better, but on this one they dropped the ball, repeating.

They charge $ 100 to come to your door, tell you you need a new unit no matter what then won’t finance you for $ 60 dollars s month

We’ve been using Air Around the Clock for a few years and have been pleased with their cost, services, and professionalism. We recently had them install a new air condition and were advised we needed to replace our air ducts. They did a great job (Benjamin, Roger, and another man who’s name I didn’t get). There was barely any clean up when they were done. Benjamin went above and beyond. I can’t thank him enough.

Beware, merchant is a crook. Does not stand behind their service. Serviceman made removal of the rheem air filter very difficult. Informed Air Around The Clock manager Dave. He told me that I would be charged to fix the problem that their serviceman created. I also informed Rheem customer service of this problem. Their answer was I had to deal with Air Around The Clock. Both totally uncooperative and of no help!!!

I would give zero stars if possible! I called last night around 9pm and the call center kept me on the phone for 10 minutes gathering all of my contact information. Then the guy says that all technicians are booked for the evening and I could be put in the queue for the morning marked as urgent. I agreed. It is now 11:30am the next day and I have yet to receive a call. Air around the clock? What a farce. CALL CORAL SPRINGS/​TITAN A/​C AND ASK FOR SHAUN. Been dealing with him for many years, honest and reliable 954−752−1234.

I had an AC unit installed at our condo back in March of 14′ and it just recently stopped working. I called ATC and they sent Tim the technician over to diagnose the problem. Per Tim i have a bad module in the evaporator and he needs to replaced. Since i am out of warranty, the typical cost is $ 325 but he could do it that day for $ 150 for parts and labor. To say the lest, i was displeased since the unit was not even 2 years old. I told him I would pass on this.
I called Rheem the manufacturer the AC and find out i am covered on parts for 10 years but would have to pay for labor. To confirm what ATC had quoted me initially, i called them back and they confirmed PARTS and LABOR was inclusive on the quote. I spoke with Frank the service manager and explained that i was quoted both parts and labor and said that i just even confirmed this with the girl on the phone, and he responded with «she is just a receptionist, she doesn’t know» .
At the end of the day, ATC was charging me for parts when they were covered under the warranty. Both the service technician and the receptionist at ATC confirmed this. It is not money aspect, it is the lack of ethics that is disturbing.

My job entails assisting new residents to the area in a customer service capacity, and often times I’m asked if I could recommend an AC company. I was recommending ATC, but now that I have actually dealt with ATC as a customer, I regret every referral I ever made, and from now on it will be anybody BUT Air Around the Clock.
ATC appears to be the leader in 1-​star reviews, and after my recent interaction with this company, I understand why — probably most of them, like myself, would’ve given them a minus rating if possible.
They installed a roof unit for me — my garage developed leaks that were caused by a missing screw which allowed water to get underneath the improperly installed sheathing and poor sealing of the unit. I have had 2 roofing companies confirm this.
When I called ATC, I was connected to a customer service manager who is unbelievably rude, he talks over you and won’t stop talking for a second to listen to what you have to say. I shudder to think of how many people I may have referred to this business that does not stand behind their work. I called to speak to the owner and the receptionist refused to allow me to speak to him and transferred me to the customer service manager who had just hung up on me.
The company acknowledges — yes — a screw was missing — yes that allowed water to get under the sheathing, but denies any liability from the water damage caused by that missing screw.
The service manager said it probably popped off because of the heat expansion on the roof — isn’t this a hurricane state? Are the others going to pop off too? What does that say about the quality of their installation? Then he tells me I should have had it maintained — right — but shouldn’t it at least be a year old before you call for maintenance?
So nothing is their fault — they don’t stand behind the work — I have to replace a flat roof because their guys didn’t do a good job — you can’t speak to owner — the service manager is a pitbull — all I can do is be thankful for Unilocal because it gives me the opportunity repeat what the customer service manager wouldn’t shut up long enough to hear so it’s therapeutic in that regard, but most importantly, if my review can help anyone in making a decision on whether or not to hire them — I would highly recommend you look for a company that has more positive reviews than negative — not the ones just written by their staff and relatives… a company that truly cares about the quality of their work and their customers and will stand behind their work and take responsibility for their incompetence.

Would not recommend. Got ripped off.

I had a new a/​c installed salesman said I could get the 18 month no interest no pay. I’m now getting statements for 12 months I called the company and spoke to Diane she said no problem I’ll take care of it. Every month I have received a statement it shows 12 months. I’ve called her 4 times this is incompetence. Tonight I asked who the owner was she said you don’t need to know who he is. I said yes I do someone is not doing there job, her response he has nothing to do with it. Finally she told me his name was Eric I dont believe her. Be weary of this company.

On April 14 I paid air around the clock $ 485 for a three-​year maintenance plan this evening The AC breaks down so I called Air around the clock they said it’s after hours it’ll be $ 150 charge to come out I agreed. A technician comes out he tells me he has to replace the dryers on the AC unit outside unit. The technician recharge the system stating that that should keep me cool until the following day when they would return and complete the repair on the AC unit. He stated the additional repair would be another $ 425 I said OK. He then asked me for $ 575. I told him the company said it was $ 150 for the work performed this evening I said I would pay him the additional money when the work was performed the next day he said he needed payment in full I said I’m not paying for something you have not done. Nor would anybody pay for work that has not been performed it’s just common sense not to mention there’s nothing in their contract that states that I have to pay for the work that has not been performed. He then stated if I did not pay him he was going to let the refrigerant back out of the system stating that it is company policy as I stated before there’s nothing in the contract that states any such thing. Well he did just that he went back outside and let all the Refrigerant out of the system. On August 14 they came out and did routine maintenance on the AC system stating everything was fine with the unit. My argument here is they wanted me to pay for work that had not been performed I don’t know of any company that conducts business in that fashion. I will no longer conduct business with air around the clock they practice deceptive trade practices. I would not recommend them to anyone

Terrible service. Wanted to charge me $ 175 without confirming if they had the parts on the truck (though I had all the information they needed). Woman on the phone was rude and unprofessional. Run from these guys!

I recently bought a foreclosure that likely needs a new a/​c. I called about getting an estimate, but they would not come out unless I committed to paying a $ 95 service fee. $ 95 just to get an estimate seems kind of steep to me.
My father used them about a month earlier & did not have to pay a fee. The lady on the phone would not explain why.

I had installed a new $ 3,850 central ac in my 980sq ft home in May 2014. In August 2015 my newly installed AC no longer works. I called Air Around the Clock, assuming they would at the very least «trouble shoot» over the phone, but no… they want me to pay a $ 90 service fee just to come out to tell me whats wrong. Then if repairs are needed on my brand new unit, additional service fee’s for the repair man. I had replaced a central ac that i had for 20 years, not because it stopped working, but to get a more energy efficient unit. She said «it’s over a year sir, do you expect us to come out for free?» She asked that question as if I had the unit for 10 years… seriously, she asked me with that tone in her voice.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I used Air Around the Clock to install my a/​c in my closet instead of my attic in Lake Worth. My neighbor used them and they were the best quote I got out of three estimates. They installed the a/​c on a Saturday. I had an issue and the owner came out the following Saturday (my day off) and had all of my concerns addressed, one of which pertained to the original install and technically wasn’t their fault. NO ATTITUDE. I am EXTREMELY pleased. My experience in south Florida is once they charge you and leave, they never come back or if they do, they are hostile. This company was the exact opposite. VERY HAPPY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Service here is great. They show up when they say they are going to even on Saturday appointments. The girls in the office are very helpful when I call with issues. I have been a customer for years and I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Air around the clock is a major rip off
The prices charged for parts they bring to your home are priced 3 to 4 times higher than other companies. They offer you at 10 percent discount after they mark it up 400 times. They charged me $ 400 to replace a door gasket on a front load washer 2 x already same repair. also installed a substandard air conditioner in my home and wanted $ 125 for a $ 30 thermostat that I replaced myself from Home Depot

While my family has used them many times in the past and really enjoyed their work (2 A/​C units bought and installed within a year or two of each other) this past time we did not like their service at all.
We were having problems with our washer and our stove so we called them to come out since we were so impressed with their work on our AC units. The tech that came out was really great fixing the washing machine, I mean it had to have taken him 30 seconds TOPS to identify what was wrong with the washing machine and MAYBE 5 minutes to fix it and he identified the problem with the stove just as quickly, but it needed a part to fix it.
He ordered it and came back a few days later to install the part and after he left and my mom was cleaning the ceramic cook top on the stove, she noticed a rather large crack in it and called the technician about it and he came back and took some pictures and asked what we wanted done. He told my mom that it was still safe to use so she said she just wanted a credit for the service and he said he would have to talk to his bosses about it.
Well that was 3 weeks ago, fast forward to yesterday and my mom looked at her credit card bill and was still charged the full amount so she called this morning to ask them about it and spoke to someone named Eddie and he told my mom that they spoke about it when the service tech returned and decided that they were not going to give us a credit because our household «has a history of disputing charges with us.» And according to everything I’ve found, we have not disputed any of their work before, we thought they had always done a great job.
So while we loved all the work they did for us in years past, we will definitely no longer be using their services if this is the way they treat their loyal customers. You would think that any company that actually cared about customer service would actually contact someone that had a problem instead of just ignoring them.
But apparently a credit for a $ 200 service call is too much to ask for for someone that has spent thousands of dollars with them in the past.

My Wife is Hot so I took Their Advice:)
Six years ago I bought my AC unit from Air Around the Clock. I’m a huge fan of the Joe Rose Sports Show on WGAM and it was because of Joe’s horrible singing of the ATC song that made me hire these guys. Not really, but the fact they have been around for over 30 years and have a ²⁴⁄₇ operation was the real reason. Every time I’ve called for any maintenance on my unit, the response time has been prompt, and the service was very professional.
Recently, I noticed that my AC handler was leaking at the base. I figured my drain line was clogged so I called ATC. They came out the next day and I advised them that since I was working my pop, who’s 76, would be at the house. They showed up on time and got to work.
That Dreadful Call
Don’t you hate that call you get from a mechanic working on your car or anything you own that costs lots of money. Well I got that call from the worker Joe. Joe tells me that my coil needs to be cleaned and cleaned badly. He proceeds to tell me it’s $ 425.00 blah blah blah blah.
Honestly I didn’t hear a word after $ 425.00. He sounded like all the adults in a Peanuts Cartoon. I’m thinking WTF man. I almost called Joe Rose to see if he could work out a deal for me since he turned me on to these dudes. Instead, I called my wife, we discussed it, and decided to get the work done. Mind you I was just taking this dude Joe’s word for it that I needed this work done. ATC has always been straight up with me so I didn’t even call another place to get another quote. Joe makes an appointment to come back the next day to clean the coil and drain pan.
Oh My!
I’m at work again, so my dad meets Joe and they get to business. Joe tells me he will take before and after pictures to show what they did. I didn’t ask him to do that, but it was very professional that he did.
Well folks, I’m embarrassed to even show you the before pictures, but it’s imperative that I do. One word comes to mind: disgusting. I can’t believe my family was breathing the air pumped out by my AC coil. More importantly, an air conditioner with dirty coils uses almost 40 percent more energy than one with clean coils. With buildup like this, the cooling function can be reduced by 30 percent or more.
The after pictures clearly shows what an excellent job Joe did. I never got to meet him and it wasn’t like it was free but I’m appreciative of him and ATC. That was $ 425.00 well spent.
The Verdict
This is a great company. I’m not related to anyone who works there or owns it. I will go on the record and say I met Mike Lang (the guy in the ATC commercials) and his wife years ago while eating at the now defunct Gold Coast Grill. This was before he was in the commercials. They are always out and about eating dinner in Coral Springs. They love Big Bear Brewing Company and I’m pretty sure they are fans of The Cook and the Cork too. Anytime I see them I go and say hello, they are really nice people. Mike always told me to call him if I needed something with my AC. Well, I haven’t and I’m here to report that I didn’t need to. The price was fair and the service was excellent. This is another business that I’m proud to say is in Coral Springs. Just never send the New York Jets truck to my house!

I’ve used Air Around The Clock for about 20 years. In the two houses I’ve owned, I’ve purchased:
2 central air conditioners (both made by Trane),
UV air filtration systems (we have not had colds or the flu since installing the units — that’s more than a decade of being cold/​flu-​free),
Stacks of 3 year service contracts (we’ve had our A/​C and other appliances assessed at no fee for the service calls!)
Air vents installed and existing ones cleaned throughout the house
Disposable and reusable A/​C filters
The service techs have consistently been professional, on time, communicative about their assessments, and successful in making their repairs, on the first attempt.
I’ve had emergencies where they came to my home quickly and I’ve had standard service calls where my time was respected by way of a courtesy call when the tech was en route and via adherence to the scheduled appointment.
Recently their tech Augie Hernandez made a service call to my house. He was so professional and friendly that I contacted Air Around the Clock and tell them that he represented them in their best light. Then I thought that I should do a Unilocal review about them because there may be other people who don’t know a lot about how to fix appliances but would appreciate a suggestion about who to call if the need arises.
I once called Air Around the Clock for an issue with my hot water heater because I didn’t know who to call — and they suggested a plumbing company that replaced the hot water heater the same day. It reminded me that if you want to know who someone is, see who their friends are — Air Around the Clock knew a dependable plumbing company because that’s how they roll too!
No one wants to be at the mercy of a broken air conditioner or appliance. No one wants to pay top dollar to have a dependable company make permanent repairs. When I call ATC I feel secure that the appliance will be fixed and it won’t break the bank.
