Grill Daddys

There’s honestly not a good thing to say about this place. The restaurant was completely empty and it still took 45 minutes for us to get our food.
The food is incredibly average. I could have gone to Whataburger & had a better patty melt. The portions are ridiculously small (really, 9 fries?) and there’s a lot left to be desired. Nobody at our table was satisfied with their food.
I guess they kept our drinks full? The best thing about this place is the Mel’s decorations still in place; if only Mel’s still occupied the property.

My wife and I have visited Grill Daddy’s twice in the last four days, both visits were in the early afternoon, the first was on a Thursday and the second on that following Saturday.
Most important, THE FOOD — During the first visit I had requested meatloaf but they were out so I went with what my wife had ordered, the Salisbury steak, I was not disappointed. During the second visit I did have the meatloaf. Both the Salisbury steak and the meatloaf could have done with a tad less salt. I’ll mention that to them during my next visit.
Menu — The rest of the menu is available on their Facebook page, it’s not the biggest menu but it’s definitely not the smallest. I haven’t tried their breakfasts or their desserts but the menu selections for both seem adequate.
Parking — The parking along E. Avenue D leaves a bit to be desired but it is manageable, you just have to be careful. I believe the restaurant is located in the portion of E. Avenue D that has a 30 mph speed limit but you just have to be careful when pulling out, especially when heading westbound. Apparently there is parking in the rear of the restaurant but I’ve never utilized it.
Service — The service was excellent during both visits, the staff was very attentive and I even received my last refill in a to-​go cup (there was no lid, but I’m kinda a grownup so no worries).
Atmosphere — The restaurant offers free Wi-​Fi and was cozy and quiet during both visits.

We arrived and were immediately greeted, the waitress arrived within seconds to give us a menu and get our drink order, the atmosphere is homely and the breakfast was delicious, the prices were my favorite part, they are affordable and there are lunch specials that we will be back to try… But for now? We love the Grill Daddy’s breakfast! Only recommendation I could make is to perhaps extend the choices a little bit on the breakfast menu. We will definitely be back !!

Waited over an hour to get my food and it was just a burger, not even a good one. I noticed that unless you are older, a regular or a man you will have to wait for your food because they come first even if you were there before them. I will never return nor recommend this place to anyone.

So please keep in mind we are talking about a restaurant for breakfast in Copperas Cove. For this purpose I give it five stars. It’s not McDonalds or yet another donut shop. The place is really clean and the service is good. The food is average to good so this review would be three stars if we were in Austin… we are not in Austin. For a town of less then 40,000 people this is literally the best place for home style breakfast, food wise and for the service. It’s ten times nicer and cleaner then that nasty a** little tex. they also have a small streamline lunch menu that is pretty good. We had chili and pulled pork. Both were done well.

This BBQ place is SO YUMMY! The waitress greeted us as we came in and then our order was placed so fast. It is CLEAN and nice and so comfortable. We were trying to think of how it made us feel while sitting there waiting for our food and we described it as… after church feel, kind of homey feeling. I ordered the brisket sandwich, onion rings and the most best ever sweet tea. My order was to go and when I made it to work to enjoy my lunch .the sandwich was full of brisket. I mean it was falling out and cooked so good with a nice smoked flavor and two very fresh slices of onions, the sauce was excellent oh and cannot forget the pickles either .they were there and tied the sandwich together in the most heavenly mixture. The onion rings are hand battered and cooked until golden melt in your mouth brown. I just love this place and will go back and back again for the rest of my life!!! Oh and the price is such a good deal for all you get, I mean really goooood.

Great place to stop and get home cooked breakfast at dirt cheap prices. Interior of restaraunt is clean, quaint, and cozy. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Give this one a shot. Support local business.

All in all I’m not disappointed but I’m not overly impressed.
Is basic good food like you’d cook at home, just without the cooking or clean up.
The restaurant is open and nice enough. I’m not too sure about the picnic table seating in the back half of the restaurant but I suppose it’d be good for family things.
I’m guessing this would be better for lunch than for breakfast.

I was told this little place was good. I was craving a good burger from a non fast food place so we went here. DELICIOUS! I think I will be going back pretty soon! They also have a great variety of different things, not just burgers. Its a cute little place right off of avenue D, I’m not sure about the exact address.
