History

Established in 1788.

Restored in 1862 after the great fire destroyed most of Cooperstown this establishment has been a tavern/hotel since before the 1800s. While the fire took most of the original structure, the basement complete with tunnels dug during prohibition era remains intact, including trap doors to get down.
