Veanos Italian Kitchen II

This is our first time here but would come back any time. Waitstaff was funny and spot on food was good owner came out to make sure all was good just all around great family rest. Would make the drive back any time. Totally recommend.

I enjoy Veanos and I like their pizza and salads. The service is friendly and attentive and their pricing is very reasonable. A good choice for a quick lunch or dinner.

Best meat lover’s pizza I’ve ever had. The waitress was there since 8am, but was still very nice. Good service. I’d eat there again.

Best food in concord the portions are huge and the tiramisou is so awesome everything is great here great prices also and great owner and staff

Was in Concord with a friend and had an appt the next day. Needed something for dinner and wanted Italian close to the hotel we were staying at, so we ended up here. The décor is ok. It was pretty casual and and we were told by the girl who greeted us to sit anywhere we wanted. We picked an available booth that was not near the door, so we wouldn’t feel the chill when the door opened. We both had the special for Wednesday night which was Penne with meat sauce. Every night has a different special. In retrospect I don’t remember there even being any meat in the ‘meat’ sauce! The pasta was cooked Al Dente which is important to me because I absolutely hate overdone pasta! The meat sauce was another thing, tasteless and a little bit watery. Salt and pepper and grated cheese couldn’t even save that sauce. The garlic bread that came with the pasta was good, in fact it might have even been homemade?! I had cream of broccoli soup and my friend had cole slaw although she did say she thought it was weird to be offered cole slaw with pasta. This restaurant also offers sandwiches so maybe that explains the cole slaw? The soup was really good and I would recommend it. We didn’t sample dessert but it looked good! They also offer real veal cutlet but I wasn’t in the mood to try it. I think the prices were reasonable and they accept credit cards. Overall I would go here again but there are a ton of restaurants in Concord so pick wisely! I will be going to the Common Man restaurant for lunch tomorrow which I have been to before and really like, just think it’s too much for dinner with a friend. The service was good, prompt and pleasant. Put some real meat in your sauce and I’ll give you a better rating!

It’s a nice place to eat. Staff is friendly, food is well prepared, but it’s a bit plain. The salad is OK, other appetizers are nothing special either.
The entrees are where it is at. They have a fried chicken that is crispy and juicy. Veal is what you would expect. Other entrees are also good. But then the sides fail to impress.
Most disappointing is that the pasta is limp and watery, maybe sitting in the pot too long? For me an Italian restaurant has to make good pasta, otherwise nothing will impress.
Let’s hope that they get better next time I go there.

Decided to check this place out for breakfast. They just started serving breakfast about a week ago. I had hash and eggs and my husband had the farmers breakfast. Both were very good, excellent presentation and the taste was fantastic. I would recommend you check it out and we will definitely be back. The service was outstanding.

The food was pretty good. The only real complaint I have is that I had it delivered and the guy couldn’t make change so he ended up with a 30% tip. I NEVER tip delivery people 30%. And to top it off, the money he DID have on him reeked of smoke… gross! Beware, if you have something delivered, use a credit card!

Amazing food. I have never had one bad thing… And I suggest ending any meal with a super delicious cannoli.
Customer service is always superb and if you order delivery you can count on it being within a reasonable time.

We had dinner at Veanos before attending a concert at Concord Music theater in November — there were 8 of us, everyone had something different — We were all very happy with the service and the food — We will definitely go back. As a matter of fact, we are going back December 11^th before going to Manheim Steamroller concert.

Veanos Italian Kitchen II is back in Concord, which opened a few weeks ago in the former Kaylen’s Pizza Market location. The original Veanos in the Heights closed down almost 5 years ago, now a Walgreen’s.
Veanos Italian Kitchen II is not affiliated with the other Veanos Italian Kitchen in Pembroke located 2 miles up the road, which are two separate independent restaurants, each owned by different brothers of the same family. Also, the now closed Veanos Italian Kitchen of Hooksett (not affiliated with the Concord or Pembroke Veanos) was also owned by another brother of the same family.
The mostly Italian American menu offerings and specials are almost identical at both Veanos restaurants with similar pricing. Bottled beer and wine by the glass offered here. The space was nicely renovated with a cozy and clean full service dining room with booths and tables and a takeout counter. There are also two flatscreen TVs in the dining room.
I stopped in here for dinner recently after work. Upon entering the restaurant around 5:15 PM. the place was fairly busy with the dining room almost full. I was seated promptly. The waitress took my initial drink order after I was seated, but quickly went on to serve existing diners their meals. The hostess who sat me went and got my drink (ice water), while I waited a bit to place my food order.
For a starter, the Homemade Spinach Pita ($ 4.99) was served hot and actually «spanokopeta» a good sized piece with layers of crisp phyllo dough with a feta cheese and spinach filling, served with romaine and feta cheese square garnish. The spinach pie was very good and I would definitely order this again!
For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore with Spaghetti Special ($ 10.99), which included a dinner salad and bread. The salad was basic, which had crisp iceberg lettuce, a few leafy greens, tomato, & red onion. The crispy garlic toast was buttered on both sides. The chicken cacciatore was a good filling dish, which had a mix of boneless chicken, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions, and peppers over thin spaghetti cooked soft, some orange oil left on the plate. The portion size was just right. I had enough food and passed on the offer for dessert.
Overall, the food I had was solid good, as expected with most of my visits to Veanos. However, the service was okay on this visit. Though the place was moderately busy, I did receive my food in acceptable time in stages, appetizer first, then salad & bread, and then entrée. However, the check total was not correct with a total of $ 22.85 with tax and a :). The items on the check were at the correct prices, but just did not add up. I went up to the register to pay and the correct total with tax was actually $ 17.42, no biggie. I always do the math before paying any bill.
I will return to this Veanos location.
