Excellent customer service and great food. Their portions are always huge and the people behind the counter and always in good spirits! Wish they would have cookies though! Ha!

Best sandwich place/deli hands down. The service is always professional and friendly. Enrico Caruso on sourdough is my go to. It drives me effing NUTS when people say that sub par delis like Moruccis has the best sandwiches. Obviously never had Luigi’s lol!

Outstanding sandwiches. A little pricey but that’s the norm for an above average delicatessen. Go for the hot pastrami!

Had my first Luigi sandwich yesterday and it was very delicious. I had driven by here a million times but never even noticed it because I was judging a book by its cover. Lesson learned because this place is quite the gem. The staff was so friendly and were very nice to my baby girl. The bread was soft and tasted fresh. We will definitely be coming back here soon!!!

Had the Mario Lanza and it was a good sandwich. Flavor was on point and customer service was great. The gentleman that helped me offered me samples to try since he know it was my first time coming to try this place. Suggestion try with the Dutch crunch is soft and perfect with this sandwich. Will be back to try some other sandos.

Excellent sandwiches, and they definitely pack the meat in. I’ve only had one of the people mess up my order, and I rarely see him there — the women you see there all the time usually do a great job. I wish the employees used gloves though, that is my only major criticism of the place.

I have gone to Luigi’s for over 25 years! My kids were raised on Luigi’s! I highly recommend this fun style Italian Deli to everyone! It’s tucked away at the end of the CVS shopping center directly across from Concord Bart Station. It’s definitely worth visiting this deli. The customer service is A plus and the sandwiches are mammoth! I save half for another meal and I’m a good eater! :-) It’s a tad expensive but as the old saying goes – you get what you pay for. You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect example of not judging a book by it’s cover. This establishment is in a strip mall and is the last place on that block(and there was a couple of homeless people just next to their entrance??). The outside isn’t much to look at but at the recommendation of some friends, we tried this deli. Had lunch here, this past weekend. We shared(otherwise, these sandwiches are huge) a coppa(itialian capicolla cold cut) sandwich on a sourdough roll(which was just OK — not fresh?). Everything else was top notch. The meat serving was great(more than enough) and fixuns(lettuce, tomatoe, etc.) were very fresh. All that for $ 8.95(Genova, in W.C. is over $ 10 for the very same sandwich, using the exact same meat — Molinaris). 12oz. sodas are $ 1.00/ea. Service was cordial and competent. As a matter of fact, our server kept offering free samples(of everything). Which was kind of neat(never had that at Genova). You can order up your own sandwich(you make up the meat-s you want) or pick from the ample selection they have on their sandwich board. They even have an area for pick up(when you phone order). This way, patrons can make their transaction without waiting. Brisk phone order and walk-in traffic(so get there early). The only negatives were a limited seating area and I thought the bread might not have been same/previous day fresh? I would have given 5-stars if these(small) issues were improved. Easily one the best sandwich deli’s in CoCo county. Very reasonable pricing too.

I’ve worked in concord for years and today was my first visit! I regret not coming sooner. Cashew chicken on ditch crunch roll was really tasty! I’ll definitely be coming back. I’m all about supporting more mom and pops such as this one.

I was pleasantly surprised by this deli. It serves tasty sandwiches at a reasonable price. When I worked in Concord, it was a go-to place for the office staff. The sandwiches are HUGE(no exaggeration) and the side dishes are always fresh. Like most good deli’s there is a line normally at peak time’s(i.e. lunch & dinner) but they get people in and out at a reasonable pace. They also offer BBQ sandwich selections to(you’ll call ahead to check day’s they offer this) as I’ve had one of their BBQ beef sandwiches and it was quite tasty. Their menu is extensive so it won’t disappoint a broad range of taste buds. It’s located in a old strip mall near Concord BART and has it’s own parking lot which makes access easy. Staff is always nice and friendly. Go give a try if you are in the area. :-)

I really appreciate finding such a nice deli with so much variety. It has a family run environment and feel very welcoming. I love the sandwiches I ordered. Why the 1 star? It was absolutely a turn off when the food handler don’t wear gloves, don’t wash hands, touched all the food one after another with bare hands, and handle money all in one go. It really doesn’t matter how good the food or service is after this point. The whole time I was eating, I was focused on my food being contaminated with germs or getting sick after my meal. How can I give this place more than a 1 star when all my food comes with germs? The lack of hygiene was a guarantee for me not to come back and feel pity for leaving this place behind. It should be a mandatory policy for food handler to use gloves especially when they are also handling money. This is basic courtesy. As a customer, knowing and seeing my food is handled properly and homemade its worth so much more than a box of gloves. Hope the owner will fix this problem asap. I will be happy to support this place again.

Oh man! Just went there for my 1st time and I am I very happy that I came! Service was friendly and fast! I even gave the guy a tip. They let me taste whatever I wanted too! The crab salad was really tasty. I got the luigi boy — ham, turkey, cotto salami, 2 cheeses, lettuce, mayo and I added a pickle. Yummy and huge! I didn’t get the garlic mayo,(probably to overwhelmed by all of the food options). Loved all of the salad and drink options. They had Arizona half and half! I will definitely come back! I see why its ranked #1!

Luigi’s catering and delicatessen brings authentic Italian to Concord, CA! I was surprised to find such a tasty sandwich place… I would say«hole-in-the-wall» most definitely. I forgot the name of the sandwich I ordered for myself, but it had roast beef, turkey, and bacon –meat galore. But the star of this sandwich was the garlic mayo! So much flavor paired together with the meat all in one bite. Everything is fresh! Freshly grated cheese, freshly cooked bacon… they do it in front of you. I was also able to get a taste of their crab sandwich. That was yummy as well, although I am not the biggest crab and cheese fanatic. A word to the wise, I wasn’t able to finish my sandwich… and I usually can. Huuuge.

First time eating here, seems to be a reality popular slot. I got a Maruco Caruso on a Dutch crunch. The garlic mayo really give it flavor. It’s not really a comfortable place to sit and eat. Stiff chairs and tiny tables, it’s really meant to be more of a pick up and go. I went here to pick up lunch with some friends. People are friendly and service is brisk. They got funny signs like the one about wine which posted a picture of. There was this other sign that said«price subject to change based on customers attitude.» I’m writing this review a day later and I’m remembering the taste of the sandwich. It was good enough to remember. Will definitely eat here again. And if you really want to stuff your face there’s a pastry shop and another replace that has carnita fries.

Luigi’s is tucked away in a strip center in Concord. This is a family operation and everyone working there seems to treat you as if you were family. Sunday lunch I had the Italian Dagwood, a monster of a sandwich with salami, mortadella, pepperoni, mozzarella and veggies on a sub roll. It was very large and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Mama Mia, this monster was full of turkey, ham, jack cheese and all the fixens on a sub roll. She indicated it was also fantastic. The bread has tug and the sauces enhance the sandwich. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star was that I was a bit short changed. The bill was 27.02 and they returned 12 dollars. Always thought it should be reversed and the store eat the 2 cents and not me eating 98 cents. It is a bit expensive but for what you get, well worth every penny.

I go to CSUEB off of Ygnacio Valley Rd. and occasionally go to Luigi’s for dinner. I typically get out of class by 4:00pm, so I have just enough time to drive over before they close at 6:00pm. Every time I visit, I order the Enrico Caruso on which consists of: roast beef, turkey, bacon, jack cheese, tomato, onion, and garlic mayo. You can order your sandwich on different types of bread, but my favorite is Dutch Crunch. This is the first time I’ve tried their Mac & Cheese. I ordered 1 pint instead of the ¼ pound just because I’ve never turned down Mac and Cheese, so I assumed I would enjoy it. Upon tasting it, it slightly tastes like Macaroni Salad, but maybe it’s because they were cleaning up and used the wrong scooper? It was okay. I may order it again just to see if it still has a macaroni salad taste but it wasn’t terrible. Yes, it can get a little on the pricey side, but you’re paying for quality and I think that that is worth it. The portion size is great(it’s almost enough for two for the sandwiches) and leaves me feeling very content with my meal. The staff are friendly and quick, so the wait isn’t too long around 5:30pm. It’s slower during lunch time since a lot of people go here for lunch. As I wait, I love reading the quirky signs they have around as decoration. Luigi’s has become my favorite deli sandwich place and I will definitely continue to come here for that reason. I’ve been here about 4 other times and the food quality and service has always been consistent — no complaints from me! Great job! Total cost(with an Arizona Tea and Mac & Cheese): $ 16.29
