After three weeks of misinformation, misdiagnoses and charges for unnecessary work at my old shop, together with a further diagnosis for work that would also not have solved the problem (at a cost of a further $ 2,450), I finally did my homework. Settled on Hitchcock’s for a new mechanic. After an initial diagnosis and a short test, the problem was found and repaired. Hooray for my new mechanic.

I have been taking my truck to Hitchcocks for a few yrs. now and I can honestly say, Mike and his crew are the best. Took my truck in to get the timing belt and water pump replaced but I also needed my o2 sensors replaced which Mike replaced with no labor charge. Mike is knowledgeable, honest and his services are fairly priced. Mike also makes great recommendations and suggestions, giving you options on what is best for your vehicle based on his 50yrs. In the business. If you are looking for a great mechanic and shop, you will be 100% satisfied with Hitchcock’s !

I honestly do apologize for the review I made on 8−3 – 2015…Actually Mike did do a great job.
At that time I was going through some changes in my life and I took it out on Mike for no reason at all… My stress made me react in a inappropriate manner and I apologize.
I would like you all to know that I have returned to (from Dublin to Concord) Mike for additional work needed on my car. With no doubt hes is really a nice guy.

My family has been bringing there cars to Hitchcocks for at least 10 years! I bought a used car that had been sitting for quite awhile. I took it to have it smogged & it failed due to some smoke coming from the tail pipe. So of course, I brought it over to Hitchcocks to see what was wrong. Mike took a look at it & couldn’t find the problem the SMOG center failed me for. He suggested that maybe I hadn’t driven it long enough before having it tested. He referred me to a SMOG center close by, gave me a discount coupon, and didn’t even charge me for the quick diagnostic! Best part, he was right & it passed SMOG that day. Thanks Mike! You never let us down! I highly recommend them! :)

MIKE OR MICHAELE WILL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK. IF YOU DON’T GET A CALL FROM THEM YOU DIDN’T ASK. Please don’t go there thinking you are getting a catering service or Mexican restaurant. They just do cars and trucks very well.

I bought in my 2000 Yukon for a good check-​over. Having 175,000 miles on her I know that she needed some TLC to make sure she «keeps on truckin». As I feared, the lack of power was the fuel pump. Mike explained the work needed to be done and how long it would take. He looked over my vehicle so well, that he notified me of a few minor things to be done and took care of it. When Michelle called me to give me the final price and explained payment options she was very professional and even offered to take my payment over the phone so I could pickup after they shop closed.
I highly recommend Hitchcock’s Auto. My vehicle will be serviced here from now on. She is running like a champ! Thanks Mike!

I am just soooo grateful to have a local guy like Mike. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done and treats everyone fairly. What he needs is to train the young guys so that they’ll be as succesfull as he is. When you get 5 stars from everyone, it needs to be duplicated!

This place is great. I’ve been coming hear for years, as it’s where my company takes their work vehicles, but I recently started taking my jeep there, even though it a huge pain in the ass, as I live in Albany and this place is located way out in Concord. But after going through a series of questionable mechanics I said enough is enough. The extra pick-​up and drop-​off hassle is well worth it for Mike’s unquestionable competence and honesty.

I can’t say enough good things about Hitchock’s service. I called on Wednesday — they could see me on Friday. Very communicative, explained all the charges and had my car in great shape by 3pm the same day. Fair prices, no fear of getting ripped off (there were several things Mike suggested I skip), and great work. I“m thrilled — a great shop I can trust.

I’ve been a customer of Mike’s for over 5-​years. His non-​traditional shop is like something out of a movie. The day of the shade-​tree mechanic is alive & well with his shop. There are no gold-​watch wearing, overly gelled service writers, who creep me out at typical repair facilities. Mike strives to asnwer questions and explain the repair process and potential costs prior to doing the work. The shop operates because he enjoys what he does and his relationships with his customers and it is reflected in the work he & his two co-​workers produce. 5-​stars!

I first heard of Hitchcock’s from my neighbor who lives across the street from me. He is in his 80’s and is the type of guy who can fix anything and has all the parts and tools you can imagine. When he recomended Hitchcock’s I had no doubt they would be honest and fair. I took my Jeep in to get some things diagnosed. Mike was honest, fair and fast. Everything you expect a mechanic NOT to be, Mike was. I would send anyone I know to this guy and have full confidence in his work.

I found these guys here on Unilocal and they are exactly the kind of mechanic that you hope to find: they’re close; a mom n’ pop operation and I believe that Mike, the owner, might be the most well mannered mechanic I’ve ever had the fortune of talking to.
I called at 8, was able to drop my car off within 15 minutes and the car was ready at 12:30 p.m. Since I didn’t get off work until after they had closed, I was able to pay over the phone when they called and they made arrangements for me to pick the car up after hours. Very Happy.
