This is a nice little spot in Concord compared to most other places in this city. Nice friendly environment. Five stars!!!

This hidden treasure has peaked my interest! The bartender Jamie is so sweet entertaining! Not only does she make great drinks but she also serves food for her patrons! The space, even thought not very big, is layed out well! It’s very clean and has a swanky theme to it! They show the game on game on Monday, Thursday and Saturday(w/or w/out sound depending upon request) and a variety of music between country, house, and hip hop! Definitely worth checking out!

Most swanky, classy bar in the area! Plus the bartender Jamie is super personal and friendly and goes above and beyond to accommodate you! She cooks every Sunday with veggies from her own garden and serves the food for FREE! This place rocks! If you haven’t been and you’re looking for a classy spot to have a great time then this is it! Hands down, BEST bar in Concord! Ps I NEVER write reviews but I signed up on Unilocal just for this review because it was so worth it!!!

I like this place, a total change up from when it was Scores. I think the direction for this place now is to be a nice little posh lounge, still don’t know if it quite works, but in time if the clientele starts to match the establishment then my mind may change. Most of downtown Concord nightlife consist of Bar and Grills and Tap Houses, so this place is making a bold statement being a lounge. It almost seems like a place that should be in SF to be honest. But I’m glad it’s here, I’ll definitely go back!

I have never written a review but I must say this bar sucks after 10pm. The bartender before is friendly but afterwards they charge you $ 10 to get in and there’s not a lot of people. On top of that the music is too loud. I understand it’s a bar but it’s way too loud. The drinks are fair prices but still.

I had the most disgusting and offensive experience here. We went for a friends birthday, there was no one in there except 3 ladies and 1 male that all worked there. We were minding our own business ordering drinks and chatting. All of a sudden this lady(that works there) comes over yelling like get up get up now its your birthday… lets dance… its a party etc. She then starts rubbing on the birthday girl and slaps her ass. She was disgusted and walked away. The same lady then walks over to my friend who did not want to dance and get on her lap trying to give her a lap dance and twerk in her face. She literally had to shove the lady off. It was so inappropriate, disgusting, and violating. The cherry on the cake is when the older male walks over and starts whispering vulgar sexual comments in the ear of another friend. At that point we were so grossed out that we had to leave. They have no class there… terrible and out of date music… and the most mis-matched TJ maxx(which I love) leftovers all shoved together in a room. This place is beyond horrible! Don’t ever go!

Why does this place even exist? It is the most pathetic scenery ever, horrible bartenders and disgustingly small beers. Part of me hopes this place dies to become an actual friggen sports lounge and not a bedazeled, jeweled out, tacky spot for hookers and old men.

If a Vegas nightclub and a suburban dive bar had sex then had a baby the G & K Lounge would e it’s love child. It’s a confusing little place in that the bar is that of a dive bar and the wall decals are like a teenagers man cave. Yet the rest of the place looks like a nightclub that was put together by winning a Travel channel bar makeover. With all the cheesiness involved and confused atmosphere the people that work here are tremendously nice. The patrons(at least in the afternoon) were that of a dive bar. They were playing country music from someone’ iPod which made it that much more confusing. Drinks were priced well but I probably wouldn’t come here for any creative cocktails. As much as I wanted to hate the place there was something comically charming about it. I’m a little bit of a night club snob so I can’t imagine myself coming here at night but for a good people watching happy hour it’s gotta be one of the better places around. I would guess that slow weekday nights would be entertaining as well. Not gonna lie I’m going to have to check this out on a Friday or saturday night just to see what comes through the door.

Visited the G and K Lounge for the first time last night(1÷23÷14) with some friends, and I really liked it! It’s a spacious lounge with a lot of seating, and a nice, open layout that’s easy to move around in. We sat at the bar most of our time there, and the bartender(I believe his name was Stoy?) was really friendly and made us a lot of great drinks! The drinks are delicious and also very affordable, most drinks I ordered were about $ 5. When it comes to bars and lounges, a pet peeve of mine is places that play their music too loud for me to have a conversation with the people I’m with. G and K Lounge did have music playing, but I was still able to talk to my friends, which was nice :) I also really liked the lighting inside, it cast a nice blue hue that gave off a trendy, but not overbearing atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

TL;DR:Closest thing to a Club/Lounge in the East Bay you are going to find, without all the pretentious nonsense. Would give this place 5 stars, but sometimes the music can be a little out there. They play house/techno music, with a definite European feel to it, but its not terrible. They also don’t play it so loud that you have to yell at your companions to hear each other. The remodel from the previous establishment definitely tries to add a touch of class to the bar, and they seem to add seasonal accouterments as well. Not too dark, not too bright, with plenty of table space and couches. Could stand a dance floor, but they have to work with the space they have. That doesn’t mean there’s no where for you to move around should you see fit to. I’ve not spoken with the Owners yet, but seen them down there often, and have developed a rapport with the main bartender Stoy. The owners usually look like they are having a pretty good time, and you almost get the sense that they made the bar as a place for them and their friends to hang out. Stoy pours great drinks, makes awesome original shots, is funny and intelligent to talk to. He is engaging but not over bearing. Great stories of his life and emmigration from overseas(also Bulgarian). We’ve made this our new local bar, as it close and clean and fun. We regularly bring our friends through as well when we need a watering hole. Will keep coming back as long as they are open.

G and K Lounge’s posted hours on Unilocal are obviously wrong. bars in Calif.(at least the bay area) must close at 2 a.m. posted hours on window were 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. G & K is a lot smaller than the pics insinuate. think 20 tables at most in the side«aisle» and a couple«settings» in the front. bar sits 10ish. only 6 microdrafts. didn’t see many designer liquors. hear it was in the back. layout is glitzy, vibrant, «high end?» drink: gin & tonic(5) –strong stuff. on draught: –limited draft selection –drink mostly cocktails, hard liquor –music free, no internet jukebox here. –no HH pricing or eats. 3.5 stars

If you’re looking for the city atmosphere, within an east bay grasp, come to G and K lounge. When a bartender asks if you have a preference for which rum you’d like in your rum and coke without just assuming for you, you know you have found a legit establishment. Sure, from the outside it doesn’t look like much, but once you’re inside, the sultry music, elaborate décor, romantic lighting and spaciousness make this lounge a stand out from the usual dive bar in Concord. Plus, unlike Walnut Creek, parking throughout Concord is almost never a problem. I’ll be coming back, on a date, with friends or maybe just to sit bar side sipping my rum and coke… amidst lavish lighting and some sweet décor. Oh and by the way, only about a five block walk from Bart for you real party animals that want to stay safe.
