All Barney’s meats are cooked in a Wood Burning pit, Pork Spare Ribs, Top Sirloin, Sliced Pork Loin, Turkey Breast, and Ham. Chicken and Steaks too!..(Top Sirloin and New Yorks)… With our Original Brown sauce and our not so new Red. Made daily… We also have fish n chips and prawns. Burgers and the BLTs … Our Homemade House Dressing is a big favorite… mix of Blue Cheese and Ranch and our famous Thousand Island is pretty tasty… with pretty great Best Breakfast too!!!
History
Established in 1957.
Barney’s has been in Concord in the same location since 1957, Wilton Barnes (Barney) was 25 years old with his wife Eva 22 when they opened Barney’s with his brother Bob and after retiring his kids Rick and Sheila are now running Barney’s and you can still find Barney there in the morning having coffee with his buddy and he still sharpins the knifes and sometimes cuts steaks, Eva usually comes in for lunch my Dad will say I wanted to take her out to the best restaurant around :)

We all grew up in this restaurant… we have both worked here since … Well we all (the kids) bussed tables in jr high… When I did it was 1979 – 80. :/… A few years back… Rick was here the whole time he started in high school (he is a liitle older then I am) steadily and after school he was in… I came a few years after school, when I did I loved it as much as Rick did. You have to. You might not no this the restaurant business is not for sissy’s … trying to keep what pops had said I good quality meal for a fair price.
