overly priced mediocre«asian» food. small portioned as well. i ordered the teriyaki chicken. it was good, i also ordered extra chicken. didn’t seem like there was any extra added. and the salad was meh. and the rice seemed bland and unexciting. word of advice. don’t order anything extra, because they’ll charge you for it, and won’t deliver.

Not so good, Ordered the chicken salad, special for 10 bucks maybe 3 – 4 oz of chicken breast and weak iceberg lettuce, not worth 10 bucks, maybe 3.99. The chicken could have been more flavor full. Plus it took 10 mins to get the food. Last time I eat there. My friend had the chicken bowl, hardly any sauce on it. Oh well. Next time I’ll head back to the chevron café.

This review is too long delayed. We requested Aris and his team to cater for our wedding reception in October 2015. We requested a short-listed menu of Veggie Lumpia, Spicy Beef Taco, Veggie Pancit, Chicken Wings, and the Pork Adobolicious. For many of our guests, this was their first taste of Filipino food and we were very happy with how things turned out. The Yummi BBQ team had a great system in place for quickly getting our guests served so the line was never long and everyone got to try a little bit of everything(and loved it!). The food was excellent. We made sure to grab a taste of everything and we definitely regretted having to leave our table to take pictures because it meant stepping away from the beef tacos and chicken wings. The pork adobolicious was a crowd-pleaser and many of our guests went back for more. The Mrs. also found it adorable that their chalkboard menu included a drawing of the two of us on top of a cake. Little detail, but it made a huge difference! It showed they were really all about creating that family experience for everyone. Our guests and even our other vendors commented positively on the service they received from Aris and team. We are very happy we discovered Yummi BBQ since they were one of the many excellent vendors that made our night unforgettable.

The Bomb. Spicy Beef Tacos. I highly recommend it. I’m hooked on the tacos. The sauce is what’s puts it over the top.

Dude. These guys definitely care about the food they put out, it’s obvious as hell when you sink your teeth into their perfected BBQ Beef Tacos($ 3). ZERO complaints here. Their Sweet and Spicy Short Ribs($ 12) are delicious as well, but the tacos were where it was at without a doubt. Best value there. I’m not gonna get all Guy Fieri and try to show off my ELOQUENT vocabulary to describe a legit dinner like some, rather– I’ll leave this post with just three words: TRY. THIS. SH*T.

I was at an Off the Grid event and I decided to check out Yummi BBQ truck. They had some adobo dish that was delicious. But I ordered a chicken taco and beef taco, with their special spicy sauce on it. The service was pretty quick and the cost was about $ 3 per taco, which is a god price considering most food trucks are about $ 10 for stuff. Anyways, the tacos were great as well, the sauce was not super spicy, just right!

It was Bishop Ranch(BR) food truck day and so I had to see what was there. I picked Yummi BBQ and i must say it wasn’t very Yummi in my tummy. Initially I was pretty excited to see pictures they had on the display. Everything look very appetizing. I ordered their Pork Adobo and a spicy beef taco. And all i can say is I was completely disappointed. First the price, I know that the food truck craze is great but these Bay Area prices are killing me. Food trucks should be decent pricing + value. There isn’t as much overhead as a typical restaurant. My experience with Food Trucks here compared to TX is that it’s more expensive and they give you less. This was the case for Yummi. Initially, i thought the prices were fair, $ 7 for the pork, and $ 3 for the taco. So all in all $ 11. when i got my food, it felt pretty heavy so i was man this is going to be a good deal. but that’s really where my excitement ended. When I got back to my desk and opened the plate, i realized that the heaviness was mostly rice. I had like 5 pieces of pork. Check out my pic, it looks large but everything looks large when you take a macro picture. Then I peeked at the Taco and there again it was super tiny. As far as flavors, the beef taco was ok. nothing that blew my mind. so much so that i can’t even describe it anymore. The pork, well, I know, it’s supposed to be braised but the picture showed it braised yet what appeared to be crispy or at least browned. This wasn’t the case, my pork came out dull looking. Then i was hoping it was going to melt in my mouth but again, disappointment. it wasn’t braised long enough. So some pieces were hard to chew on, and the pieces that had fat were softer and did melt in you mouth. Still this was a disappointment. My third time at BR Food trucks and third time disappointed…

This food truck comes to my office and today was the first day I had it. I ordered the spicy BBQ beef tacos and they were really good. The guys working today were really friendly too. I normally don’t hit the food trucks when they are at my office but I’ll definitely see these guys again.

I ate here at another food truck event recently without remembering that I’d already tried them. The menu had changed, so maybe I didn’t recognize it. I don’t know how I gave them three stars last time; looking back it was a total two-star experience. But I can say they’ve improved, and are now really three stars! There are still plenty of negatives, but they’ve gotten better. This time, I ordered the five-spice chicken, which hardly tasted like spices, let alone five of them, but was still tasty and moist; a huge improvement from the last chicken I ate here. I’m not usually a fan of salads, but the salad that came with it had a dressing that I seriously didn’t like. But my wife didn’t mind, so she got extra salad. Again, being a food truck, there’s not usually many places to sit down and enjoy your overpriced meal. I did appreciate the Hawaiian music they were blasting, even though it sounded really really terrible from their single, over-amp’ed speaker.

I’ve had some food trucks that blew my socks off. Sadly, this wasnt one of them. I ordered chicken taco and a spiced chicken rice plate. While the dishes were decent, the chicken was a tad dry, and judging from the speed at which they came out, they probably were cooked long before the trucks came out to site. Ive watched food network shows with food trucks, and all of the winners seem to prepare food when ordered. This doesnt really work when theres long lines, but there were no lines around this truck. Maybe find a way to moisten the chicken? I dont know.

I tried their lemongrass beef slider and it was fantastic although the lemongrass was so assertive. Later on. when I chewed more bites, the hot peppers was building and then the flavors were complementing each other. This slider was unexpected and became a better burger when I finished it. At that time, they serve grilled carne Asado tacos, veggie and pork lumpias, This food truck is worth it and like the variety of Asian fusion. A Fil-Am couple running the business, and a white young lady being the cashier. Great food, great customer service.

Visited the truck in San Ramon, near Whole Foods. The Orange Chicken with rice and salad is super tasty. The chicken has a light sweet flavor with good texture. The rice has a nice sweetness and is cooked perfectly. The side salad nicely accompanies the meal but it is regular bag salad nothing spectacular. For 9 $ it is a good deal.

YUMMIBBQ has been a part of the rotating roster of lunch hour food trucks near Pleasant Hill BART, for as long as they’ve been having it. Curiosity had me trying their food, but the food had me coming back for more! Love the beef and chicken tacos and the adobo dishes, but that LUMPIA? SHUTUPANDTAKEMYMONEY! If I have the dough and they show up, I am always on-board for those fried nuggets of crispy pork deliciousness,(I am almost drooling all over myself just thinking about them even now!) along with the sweet dipping sauce that comes with. I didn’t see them as part of the new Friday Happy Hour food truck event that just started, but i hope that changes soon. And if I had one note, it would be this: they would probably move even more of their tacos if they had both soft and crispy options to choose from. A crispy beef or chicken taco from them would be HEAVEN. And that’s it!

If you want wimpy chicken tacos then this place is for you. Went to the food truck by Pleasant Hill BART and boy what a disappointment. 2 for $ 6. I had a hard time finding the chicken, there was more lettuce than anything. These were the wimpiest tacos ever! I’m a small person and usually 2 carrots fill me up, but after eating these, I was still hungry. I will not go back.

We chance upon Yummi BBQ during our visit early this year to Concord Off-the-grid. We were on our quest to find«the food truck» for our wedding and wanted to give our guest a unique and fun experience. The moment we took our first bite into the Shaka Burger, it was like love at first taste(if there was such a thing), the juiciness of the burger was amazing. Although we did not contact them right away, they were always on our mind while we tasted other food trucks through out the bay — Dublin off the grid, Oakland off the grid, Santa Clara etc. After gaining a couple of lbs from eating at all the food trucks, we finally made our mind and engaged Yummi BBQ to cater for our wedding. We were having our wedding at a Ranch and wanted our guest to have the food truck experience where they can come up and order the food off a menu on the truck instead of the typical«choose your preference» before the wedding and we worked with Aris and folks to closely make our vision come true. I would really like to thank him for being so patient with me and bearing with me when I do not respond for days and when we change our minds a million times on the menu. Not only were they very responsive to our inquiries but also helped us make our wedding memorable and unique. They even went an extra mile to customize the names of our dishes Everyone(young and old) enjoyed the food and experience; there was nothing but praises! If you are thinking of having Yummi BBQ cater your event, do not think twice! I highly recommend them and will definitely go to them in the future! Thank you so much Aris & Folks for making our wedding such a cool one! cheers

Tried the chicken and beef tacos(2 for $ 6.) at SLZ Food Truck Mafia. Tacos were ready in 5 minutes. The chicken was bland it needed some seasoning and/or a sauce. Hubs and I agreed the beef was the better of the two. The beef and sauce was tasty. Staff was friendly with a smile and appreciated me giving the exact cash for the order.

As food trucks go I guess the level of standard isn’t as good in Concord as it is in the City. Granted I didn’t have to pay for the food as it was covered by my work but the truck was there and they get probably $ 6.50−7 a person they serve since that’s what we get per diem in our cafeteria. The cafeteria is closed for remodel so they get food trucks instead. I got the sweet and spicy short ribs and they were ok. Meat was tough and the portion was small. 2 pieces of the 3 rib short ribs. I can make a better Korean short rib at home buying the meat from 99 ranch and marinating it in the korean bbq sauce. When I can out cook a place with minimal effort, you know its not a good thing. Flavor was okay but nothing to write home about. At least they got my order up fast. Took only 2 or 3 mins. Even for free I would rather just skip this place next time it comes to the office.
