AAA Kinetico Water Systems

Damian Fernandez was awesome! He came in clean cut, dressed nice. Explained things to me I didn’t understand. Showed me what water should look and feel like. I have two kids that love water. Drinking it, playing in it and cooking with it. Damian made sure we receive the best water system for our lifestyle. We appreciate people like Damian who look out for us.

I have a system from them for about 7 years now. One of the tank started to leak on the top in year 5 and it was replaced with warranty. We only need to pay minimal labor fee which is nice.
We order salt from them about 2x a year. Their salt is more expensive but lasted 3x longer than salt from HomeDepot. So it will ended up cost the same. They also deliver and filled the salt for us! A big plus!

After a lot of research, and an impressive demonstration by Mike in our home, we chose the Kinetico reverse osmosis and water softening system. The customer service has been quite good and both people we worked with did a thorough job in explaining and answering our questions, and in the installation of the system, particularly in installing it to fit our needs/​specifications. We are enjoying the taste and feel of the water.

Tony was exceptionally knowledgeable about water systems. I originally called him to install a whole house system I had bought on my own. With his help, he led me to realize that the system I found online was no good, so I returned it. Science and reputable agencies did not support the claims made.
Now a full blown skeptic, I peppered Tony with questions and written materials before choosing a Kinetico whole house filtration system. The installer, Ben, did a beautiful job fitting it into a tight space. I’ve had it a week and absolutely love the taste of the water and the feel of it during my showers. Due to the high cost of the system, I’m holding off on the reverse osmosis system to put under the sink (to remove Flouride). Instead, I’m going to lobby San Francisco to stop fluoridating the water supply! Tony promised to come speak at a hearing. Now, thats believing in what you say.

After lots of research I decided to go with Kinetico water system. Victoria came to our house to do a consolation she took her time and explained everything. When she was done we knew the water softener/​reverse osmosis system was what we wanted. She had great customer service. On install day Scott Kramer came out and got straight down to business. He did a great job and we were very please. I gave AAA Water five stars because of there great customer service from to the very first time i called to set up an appt. and to the time of the install. I highly recommend this company.

After doing extensive research about which company to go with I chose the Kinetico Water System, it was by far the best value because there is no electricity needed. It cleans itself based on actual usage so there is no wasted salt. The system pays for itself because of the very little amount of soap we now need to use. Because it has two filter tanks I never run out of soft water. After using the system I have noticed that my hair, skin and clothes have never felt better. My kitchen appliances have no build up of soap and run more efficiently. I also got the drinking water system at the same time and it was installed beautifully, the faucet looks great on the kitchen sink and the water is delicious, it makes everything taste better including my morning coffee and tea. I am thrilled to know that I am using safe water in my home.
I was extremely impressed with the customer service of AAA Water, Tony Soltani came to survey the house for all plumbing needs. He tested my water and explained the process and answered any questions I had about the system. I was called right away and was scheduled a next day appointment. On the day of the install Scott Kramer came to my house at the scheduled time and installed with no issues, he then explained the process and anything I needed to know about the system before leaving my house. I gave AAA Water five stars because of superior products, excellent value, superb customer service and complete satisfaction.

These guys are the best. They are very professional and want the best for their clients. They do anything to make you happy. Scott the service manager was quick to call me back with a question I had and treated me very kindly and respectfully. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good water softener and water filter to go with AAA and Kinetico. It is better for your skin, hair, and appliances.

We recently moved to San Ramon, We thought of installing the Kinetico System but our experience with the sale guy is the worst because of his impatience in explaining and wrong pricing back and forth. It result in waste of our time and energy.
I recommend AAA kinetico to change the representative in east bay (san ramon/​Danville/​Pleasanton/​Livermore) area. Currently people didn’t recommend Kinetico in our area .

The water tastes delicious, even my very picky mother thinks so. Good service and easy installation and maintenance. Very good customer care. When everyone was having funky water smells from East Bay, we still had delicious water.

We just had a Kinetico System installed last week, and have been pretty satisfied with both the product and service so far. The system is quiet, uses no electrical power, requires little to no maintenance, and easy to operate, which is basically as simple as turning on the water. The difference in water quality was very noticeable right away. Granted, our water was untreated previously since the previous softener had stopped working even before we had moved into the house. We would lose water pressure when we tried to put in service, so we just ended up bypassing it, and the reason why we were in the market for a water treatment system.
We had heard that Kinetico systems were very pricey and had doubts about how well it worked compared to a regular water softener, so we were skeptical at first.
Lorenzo Guzman came in and made a compelling case on why and how the Kinetico system was a better investment over a tank-​in-​tank unit, specifically the effects of using untreated water to regenerate the resin, as well as the fact that the system has zero down time. No need to set regeneration run times, or remembering to not use water when the softener goes into regeneration, even if it’s during odd hours. Everything he said made sense based on my experience in the energy industry.
The installation itself went very smoothly. Vladimir the install guy was on time and had the system in place and operating in a couple of hours. He did, however, had to come back since a pinhole leak developed on one of the newly installed copper elbows a couple of days later. The customer service rep my wife called was very helpful and friendly, and the leak got fixed with no issues.
A week later, Lorenzo came back out to do some QA inspection and reviewed everything we talked about prior to install. He also sampled our newly treated water to show how well the system is working. Lorenzo has been reassuring throughout the whole process, making sure everything went well and everything we talked about got done.
Great experience. Good people. Effective product. I’d say the purchase was well-​worth it.

GE or Whirlpool product can last more than 7 years without problems. I say 7 because I personally do not know of anyone who has owned a unit for more than 7. If it goes bad at 7 years — replacing it with brand new one is still cost effective. Plumbing the softener to house water line is not a big deal. We got both RO and Softenor plumbed and installed for $ 500. RO has filter changes every 6 months but the softenor only has salt replacements. We can buy extended warranty as well on those products.

This is an updated review. I did get a call from Scott at AAA. He quickly scheduled an appointment with me and got everything fixed. I am a happy customer now and have no complaints. Kudos to Scott and AAA for the great customer service!

We purchased a water treatment system as well as a reverse osmosis system from them. Their products provide us with soft clean water, we have no more deposits on our dishes, glasses and pans. The improvement is unmistakeable. No more dry skin after showering. Have been able to cut on our soap & detergent consumption since using their water treatment system. As far as customer care is concerned, starting with the owner, AAA people are extremely prompt in returning calls, scheduling service appointments, and taking care of all our needs. The plumbers are competent as well as courteous.

We have owned a system for 20 years. Tony Soltani was your representative. He is personable, professional and knowledgeable.
We will continue to enjoy your great product as we are going to be upgrading to the newer model. Thank you Tony and the great staff at AAA Kinetico.

We purchased a home a few years ago and I’m not too familiar with the kinetico water softener that the previous tenants had installed. It started acting up a few weeks ago and my research led me to AAA for technical support.
Scheduling an appointment was easy and quick. The person on the phone went over the process and service fees so I went ahead.
Rick was the technician who came out to repair the system. It was nice that he gave me a call before coming by so I could make sure I’m home. Here’s what I really appreciated about Rick and his service:
— No gimmicks. He wasn’t trying to sell me parts or have me buy something I don’t need. He focused on solving the issue without forcing me to buy parts. I really really appreciate this.
— Knowledgeable. Rick is a very smart guy and knows a lot about kinetico and water softeners in general. He was extremely knowledgeable about our system, as well as, competitor systems.
— Answered all of my questions. Since I wasn’t the purchase who picked the system — I had tons of questions about why people purchase kinetico systems, what are the benefits, how do the systems differ, how does maintenance work. Everything you could think of… I asked.
— Friendly. Rick’s really nice and super friendly and great to talk to.
I like that the company has a 30 day warranty on their service and Rick reiterated to not hesitate to call should there be any issues.
Rick is truly an asset to the AAA Kinetico Water Systems company. Trust me, I called around and searched and searched for technicians who work on Kinetico systems. There’s no one (this will save you some time on craigslist). I hope the company will take the time to recognize his excellent work because he definitely deserves it!

We will be recommending the Kinetico System. We really appreciate the great tasting water. It is amazing. I’ve had bottled water that doesn’t taste as good.

We recently moved to Fremont. In the previous home we had Kinetico water softener installed and got used to that softness. When we moved to new home, water just didn’t feel right. I had my scalp itchy all day long and felt a weird taste/​smell when drinking out of tap. Interestingly my neighbors didn’t complain about the water, I guess this was the indication that I was addicted to the soft water :-).
I was renting the Kinetico unit in previous home so I called them and asked if they can install one here. apparently one Kinetico dealer can’t operate in another dealer’s area, so they game me Tony’s telephone number. I called Tony and setup an appointment. When he came up with his lab and all, I told me that I already knew about the water quality and all and that I only wanted to find out the cost and time factors (along with other many questions that I have about everything).
Tony was very polite and explained me both rental model as well as the purchase model. He didn’t push me at all and welcomed me to look at other water filtering companies that I had scheduled appointment with.
So I had visits from Purino (I hope I remember their name right :)) as well as Culligan reps. They both very also very polite and gave me their bids as well as speech about their systems. At that time I realized that there was a huge difference between what they were charging me and what Tony had told me.
So I was gravitating towards installing a Culligan’s system and called Tony to told him the same. At that time he informed me that if I wanted a system with electronics and timed cleaning, then he can also offer me the same system at very competitive price. That is what made me rethink and decide to go with the system I had in previous home given that it doesn’t have any electronics that has to deal with extreme temperatures in garage.
Another thing that helped me make my decision was that the other reps didn’t even bother to look at plumbing property and promised that it was a standard installation. One of them even took pictures and called back after discussing with his ‘manager’ that there was no issue with installation. Tony, oh the other hand, was immediately able to identify the problem and suggested a solution (as well as estimate to fix the problem). I checked with couple of other plumbers and their estimate was same or greater than Tony’s. It further made me feel that he is a genuine guy.
On top of that I called him 3 – 4 more times with questions and he took ample time to explain everything to me in details… never was he irritated or impatient. He didn’t shirk from visiting me again to explain me the details.
So I decided to go ahead with Kinetico and asked Tony to give me a quick appt as I was rather sick of taking shower with Fremont water and get refills on drinking water from Safeway. He was able to give me an appt within 5 days.
Installer was very professional and focused on his work with utmost cleanliness. He explained everything to me and gave me all sort of info about the system. Furthermore, he listened to my ideas on driving the drain pipe through specific route in garage and complied with the request. He did an outstanding job in terms of plumbing and left my garage as clean as it was before job.
On day 2, I discovered an issue — the drain pipe was constantly dripping and the sound was driving me nuts. So I called Tony and he promised to take care of immediately. I didn;t hear back from him for couple of hours and thought maybe he got busy. But just then I heard from his office that they are sending someone to take care of it.
The repair mechanic was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. he explained the possible reasons of the dripping (which BTW had stopped by then). He left with me satisfied with his explanation (anyways system was now working ok… no more sound. he mentioned that sometimes a particles gets passed on to the gears and makes it stuck. Eventually it loosened up and it started working normally). Of course he promised to replace it in case I hear the problem again.
So here I am… happy with the service I got and the bell rings again. Same gentleman is there — «Tony told me to go back and replace the head… who knows there might be an issue. So he asked me to not take a chance and replace it because he is a stickler for 100% satisfaction and quality». wow! I was floored. Thanks Tony.
So all in all, I am very picky guy… but in this case very happy. Tony has been outstanding with his customer support, quality of work and quality of instrument. So far things are working great, service has been awesome.

Absolutely no complaints! Great system! Great dealership! Great customer service!
Pre-​sales:
We researched heavily on the water treatment systems and we did not want to compromise on our water treatment needs. We called Tony for an inhouse tests and recommendation. Prior to that we also called Puronics and Calligan sales reps. There was a clear difference between Tony and others. Like others, Tony did not want to sell whatever system he has. Rather he patiently listened to our needs first and worked together with us in solving the problem finding the right water system. We went through multiple combination of systems and finally we narrowed down the Kinetico system that exactly fits our requirements and price. Though Kinetico was bit expensive when compared to other systems we picked Kinetico because of four reasons: Superior technology, superior warranty, no electric parts, hence low maintenance and superior customer service.
Installation:
Installation took almost 6 hours for our home. The technician was very friendly and his work ethic was fantastic. It was not smooth all the way though. One of the pipes started leaking immediately after the technician left our home. I called Tony immediately and he sent the technician back and get it fixed in no time. The system is running smoothly so far.
The water looks great and tastes great indeed.

We moved to Brentwood from San Mateo and who knew the water would be so bad! If you go to the city website you will see that the water here can be as much as 3X what the EPA classifies as «Extremely Hard Water». We knew we had to do something right away, and after a lot of research we decided the Kinetico system was the best design and called AAA.
The owner Tony came to give us a demonstration and he was absolutely the best! We learned just how hard our water was, and how the system would protect our appliances from corrosion, calcification and how it would prolong the life of our solar hot water system and storage tank, along with our instant on backup water heater.
One concern was that there was a lot of construction going on, and we were afraid of sediment from broken and new pipes (which happened twice.) Tony told us that we could get a sediment filter that would take care of that in front of the main system. One stop shopping.
We have now had the system for 8 months and couldn’t be happier. In addition to crystal clear glass shower doors (we never had with Hetch Hechy water), we have the best tasting water ever! We are also using about ¼th the soap we used to for the dishwasher and clothes washing. Our clothes never look dingy and our drinking glasses are amazingly clear. YAY!!!
Best of all this system uses virtually no salt! In the 8 months we have had it we have only used 3 bags. My neighbor with a different system goes through 2 per week! YIKES!!! The system also uses no electricity and clean water is available ²⁴⁄₇ thanks to its built in redundancy. When we did need salt, AAA was here the next day to refill it for us. I should also mention that food and beverages, especially tea, tastes so much better than it used to.
So this system is green and uses no electrical power, keeps my blood pressure low and is reliable. Oh! The service is amazingly great too. So save yourself a lot of trouble. Give AAA a call before you talk to anyone else. You will be glad you did. Although this system is a little more expensive than others, the quality and service will prove it’s the way to go. For us it’s a Win-​Win.

The only reason I’m not giving a 5 Star is because we have not purchased and installed yet.

Picked up a free Water Test at our local Home Depot.
Were called back once the results had come in.
We knew ahead of time that it was a «Sales Call» we signed up for, so no awkwardness.
Jack Jacques came to our Home and we spend a good 2+ fascinating hours watching his scientific lab setup /​presentation in our Kitchen. Jack was down to earth, fun, not pushy and it was very informative. We will definitely use Kinetico for our future Water needs! Very personable. Very professional.
