The day I found out about Tommy’s Jerky Outlet is the day I found heaven on earth. I’m an unashamed jerk feign so when my brother told me he stumbled on a jerky shop that made fresh jerky and has a wide selection of flavors and meats, I had to pay them a visit. All of the employees at Tommy’s are knowledgably and welcoming. The nice thing about this jerky shop is they allow you to sample the jerky before you buy it so that you know for sure that its one you’ll enjoy. The only bad thing about Tommy’s for me is their location. I don’t live very close to the store so I always come when I had to go to Dublin for work. All in all, if your a fan of jerky of any kind, Tommy’s is definitely your type of place!

Really liked the kettle corn and bbq jerky. However, when i got home and tasted my house blend jerky, it was old and stale. It did not tatse at all like the sample i tried.

This store is impressive. They have a wide variety of jerky flavors to pick from, all made from high quality meat. The jerky is tender and has a nice bite to it. I tried all of the flavor samples and finally settled on the hot hickory. The turkey jerky was delicious and I will probably get it at another time, it just want my primary goal for today’s trip. My husband chose to get the smokies, he likes the fattier texture better. The two hottest flavors they had out were also tasty. The Sneaky Pete had a very comfortable kick to it but is probably too much for the average person to handle, the inferno started to push my comfort level but was still manageable. The employee in the store(Sue) was extremely friendly and encouraged us to try everything and was very familiar with the product. We will definitely be back for more.

Amazing selection! I spent well over 200 so far going there. Not sure what the lady talking about saying it was no flavor when the have over 30 selections of flavors…

Excellent samples. Tons of choices between mild and fire. Also, local popcorn, salsa, and mustard. All are beyond excellent and you can sample them all, in fact, they encourage it!

I was excited when I saw the sign. The teriyaki jerky had absolutely no flavor and was expensive. I don’t think I’ll purchase it again

These jerkys are good! I love jerky so I had to stop in here when I saw it. The store itself was simple and sparsely decorated — not a bad thing at all — and nestled in a strip mall. The inside felt nice and clean and the gentleman who greeted me was friendly and enthusiastic about his jerky. I won’t complain about the prices, good jerky is expensive so be prepared. After trying a few samples, I purchased some of the inferno and boy is it spicy! I can handle the Holy Hot Chicken and this is right up there on the more heavily seasoned pieces. Once you get past the heat, there is very good flavor in there. I also ordered some bourbon infused jerky which was strange at first because of its unique flavor. It was very different and I ended up liking it.

Tommy’s has a large selection of jerkies and smokies in many flavors and varying degrees of heat, as well as more exotic jerkies that include wild boar, elk, venison, alligator, salmon, bison and kangaroo. Each type of jerky and smokie have samples available so you can try before buying, as well as a variety of local hot sauces, salsas and mustards. They are locally made and owned, so it’s great to support a local business while getting a good product. From a customer service experience, we couldn’t ask for more. Tommy himself is often in the store, and both he and the store manager(who is also his fiancée) are incredibly friendly — they remember us from previous visits and remember personal details like where we work and the types of jerky we like. Having already discovered the Gahanna location which was near my office, I was pleased when Tommy told us they’d be opening a new location on Sawmill, which is closer to our home. We stopped into the Sawmill store shortly after their grand opening and found the store to be much like the Gahanna one in regard to layout and appearance. They even had the same manager working, which was great because she remembered us, knew I liked spicy foods and immediately gave me a sample of a local super hot salsa they’re carrying(CaJohn’s Reaper). Tommy’s jerkys and smokies are far and away superior to the overly processed and preserved junk you can buy in stores. They have a wide variety, from smoky and sweet to blazing hot, so there’s someting for every taste. My favorite is the Hot Hickory, which is flavorful without being too hot, but if yo’re really looking for some heat try the Ground Zero. The slightly higher price is definitely worth it when you consider you’re buying a much higher quality product from a local business. I would recommend this place to anyone(and will be) who loves jerky!

Wow– I knew they were opening another location, but not this soon. This one is more convenient for me so I’ll probably be back more often. Same layout as the Gahanna one, but only about half the size. Still plenty of room for all the products, with, as usual, free samples. Jerky, meat sticks, game jerky. They have a little spot set up for hot samples– maybe chili and dips– but there were none out when I went. Service is friendly and down to earth. Décor is like the other location– wood, deer heads, etc. There are sales for opening week, so I got some good deals. It’s reasonably priced otherwise– jerky is expensive to make, so it’s always up there, but this is worth it.

Drove past this strip mall and noticed a new store… jerky outlet? I had to investigate. The day we finally got in they were having a grand opening celebration with extra samples! Do not be fooled by the word«outlet» in the store name. Nothing in here is cheap but oh the tasty varieties. There is jerky, jerky and more jerky of all kinds(gator, turkey, elk, venison, buffalo, salmon) with the beef jerky coming in more varieties than I have ever seen in my life. Each type of jerky is in a big barrel with little bits of it in a cup to sample. They also carry smoked sausage and some salsa that will set your mouth on FIRE at three levels of serous heat. DH got the 3oz bag of the smoked elk(for the price of $ 13.99) which was amazingly good or as we were told«it’s the filet mignon of jerky!» I did mention it was expensive. I believe their jerky starts out at $ 8.99 for a 4oz bag and goes up to around $ 25.00 for a 16oz bag. Their jerky while so very tasty(and the folks there were super friendly) is not your every day jerky because of the cost. But when you have a craving for some special jerky or want a different kind of gift for a jerky lover then this is your spot!
