Such a great coffee shop! They are comparable or less than Starbucks and they’re coffee is honestly better tasting in my opinion! Tons of seating indoors and outdoors! Perfect for a Saturday morning!

My favorite coffee shop in Columbus, they are open super late.(10:30pm during the week) The seating is spacious, along with seating on the sidewalk. Be sure to arrive earlier during busy times to grab a good seat because they fill up fast. This place is NEVER empty. Try out their brunch on the weekend, I like to get one of their omelettes. My favorite drink is the peanut butter mocha chill. Loveeee this place!

I had the Wrap with avocado and a Buckeye Latte and was not disappointed. The service was decent and it had a great ambience for working. I spent at least two hours working here with pretty decent focus.

Great tasting coffee. I had the iced latte, and others in my group had Chai teas and a Guatemala pour over. Everybody really enjoyed their drink.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Columbus. They have the most delicious coffee(which they sell to brew at home, as well). They’re iced and frozen drinks are great. They sell a good selection of loose leaf teas. Tasty pastries and a breakfast and lunch menu are available – great food! This place has been around and is a great source of local history. Outdoor patio with lots of seating. Can be crowded at times. A great place to eat, hang out, go on date, or study. I love this gem!

By FAR the best coffee and coffeehouse atmosphere in town. I’m never disappointed with my drink order and I just love the good vibes. Wifi can be spotty and seating can be sparse, but all signs of a thriving business and heavy traffic! Thanks for many years and here’s to many more :)

Tasty baked goods, great coffee and lots of room for seating and studying. Decent number of outlets but they can get taken up quickly during the busy hours(weekends). However, it has a louder bustling environment with all the coffee bean grinding and its popularity. So not the best place if you prefer chill quiet study spots.

Friday afternoon, not a lot poppin, 1 customer in front of me. And still, it took our barista friend nearly 10 minutes to finish up the cappuccino’s for the sales dude that ditched line. 10 Minutes to get to my humble iced mocha. Made with premade cold brew by the way. Premade. Like you pour it into a cup with a little milk. I realize this may seem petty, to complain about 10 minutes of my life. But in the service industry that’s an eternity. Why the delay you ask? It may have had something to do with the schmoozing with sales man line-ditcher but probably had a little more to do with lil barista getting a cup of water and taking his sweet ass time drinking it. And it wasn’t even because I was mean-mugging, I mean I’d admit if I deserved a move like that. Or that it was busy. We’re talkin easy like Sunday morning read the paper chill. As a former service person, I’d stab myself in the eye if I had to work next to this guy.

Take your Starbucks macchiato and THROWITTOTHETRASH. Then come here and get a real one. It’s just really good espresso and steamed milk and that’s all it needs to be. If you must, add sugar, BUTFEELSHAMEASYOUDO. Seriously great macchiato’s though.

I love the other Stauf’s, so in theory I should adore this place too. Zounds, it’s even got a breakfast menu! So why don’t I like it as much as the Stauf’s in German Village? Well, for one thing, it’s always really crowded, and the tables are a bit on the small side. I actually think parking is more of a pain in Grandview than in German Village, and the restaurant is so open on the inside that it feels a lot noisier than its counterpart. The breakfast menu has also disappointed me too many times. The hash browns were burnt a few times, or the eggs were over cooked and kind of rubbery, or it just took forever. Overall, I plan to stick with the GV location.

Here are some reasons to go to Stauf’s: 1. You want a place to study after 7 pm that is not a 24 hour library or your apartment or Market District. Fun fact, you can study here until MIDNIGHT on weekends – WHONEEDSPINTHOUSEAMIRITE! 2. The tea selection. It’s big, it’s fun, it’s global, and you get to put the tea in a little baggie by yourself so it’s v trendy. 3. You want to be SEEN. Stauf’s is mad crowded all the time, so if you look super good one day and want to be seen looking super good, pop in for some studying or the aforementioned tea selection. Stomp around with your cup of joe, a textbook, and your new Aritzia kimono. 4. The rotating selection of art on the walls. It’s all from local people trying to sell their art. This makes for some pieces that are really wonderful & lovely, and other pieces that any cynic would question but could fit perfectly in your sorority room(think: calligraphy that says«not all who wander are lost») 5. Sometimes there are homemade marshmallows that will tempt you into buying hot chocolate. Tips: 1. Bring a jacket, it gets weirdly drafty. 2. Accidentally use the staff bathroom once(I used it for a month, not realizing there was a real bathroom), there are fun puns on the walls. 3. Sometimes the wifi gets overloaded so just come knowing that. 4. Don’t come if you’re trying to «discover» a new place. Like I said, mad crowded.

Atmosphere– I think the café area is due for a refresh. Otherwise, I like the coziness and the aromas of this coffee shop. It a little loud to study but if you can tune that out then you’re golden. Service– A, staff is friendly! Food– They have pastries, cake, prepackaged cookies, bagels, lunch food, and lots of coffee. I do like their lattes and coffee here! Scones are also tasty.

There are two kinds of people in Columbus. Those who have not been to Stauf’s and those who tell you that you have to try it. It is the best coffee house in town. Hands down, no question, and they don’t even serve booze. It’s a big place, with a retail area where you can buy freshly roasted beans. The roaster is right there in the middle of the room, and sometimes they’re cranking a batch out while your shopping. They have everything you need to make a great cup of coffee at home, and a ridiculous variety of beans. It’s not cheap, but life’s too short to drink Maxwell House. Then there’s the café. Great coffee and all of the expected coffee drinks. Plenty of seats, inside and out. Windows for people watching, wifi, outlets. It’s the perfect coffee house, in the heart of Grandview. They have food. Breakfast, and lunch, you know, the typical café fare. It’s good. There’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s better than average and you’re really here for the coffee anyway, right? It’s worth a cross town trip to check it out. There are other Stauf’s locations popping up around town as some of the Cup-o-Joe locations are outfitted with roasters, but the orginal is still the best. I’m not saying you need to go every week, but you should try it.

I love going to Stauf’s Grandview for a no-frills post-dinner espresso. If that’s not your thing, they are kinda known for their coffee, roasted on site. And if that’s not your thing, you can also craft your own tea bag for a lighter pick-me-up. Stauf’s has lots of tables if you want to get some work done, and they sell lots of supplies(and bags of coffee) for enjoyment at home.

I had my first experience at Stauf’s today and am a newly-minted regular. I had some work to get done and figured I’d go in for«just» a cup of tea — little did I know there would be literally 30 teas to choose from and you make your own bag! I went with the Moroccan Mint and it was incredible. The employees all seemed incredibly knowledgeable about their coffee and food and were extremely kind(they even let me make a second bag because I threw my first away without thinking). I also loved the classic coffee shop atmosphere — look forward to coming back!

I’ve been here a hundred times over the last 8ish years, usually to put my head down and get work done, and I do really love the vibes and availability of food, but it has been a fight for table space lately, my coffee and soup were both just«warm» today, and it’s cold as hell in here. Staff is great, I’m just pretty uncomfortable with my physical environment right now. I think I’m going to leave prematurely, in fact. I can’t feel my toes. Also, the last few occasions I’ve been here I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to connect to the Internet, only to have someone reset it anyway. I wish German Village had a little more food options, then I wouldn’t ever come here anymore.

I came here a few weeks ago meeting someone for a beverage, it was a better than average temperature outside so we grabbed our beverages, hers a café americano mine a medium tea and headed outside for conversation. The tea selection was wonderful, as I chose a mint tea, it was floral, but also warming and perfect for the day. I can’t review the coffee as I’m not a fan of coffee, but great tea selection and I will be back.

When approaching the establishment, I was confused as to where the entrance was. After entering, I was surprised as to how big it is & how many patrons were there comfortably eating & working. I had an iced coffee(not so great) & the wrap for breakfast(superb). Since this was my first visit, I won’t give up on the iced coffee because I had almond milk instead of regular dairy. I’ll continue to modify this item until I find the right blend. The wrap was so good & sealed the deal for me. Definitely returning…

It’s not just a coffee shop… It’s so much more! Stauf’s is a great place to meet for coffee, enjoy a casual breakfast, and hang out with a laptop to get some work done. I’ve done all of the above as proof. First and foremost, Stauf’s has excellent coffee. They have several varieties always brewed and a plethora of other options(i.e., iced coffee, tea, espresso beverages). You really can’t go wrong, especially since it’s their specialty. Stauf’s also has a great breakfast menu. I particularly love their breakfast wrap and potatoes. Lastly, Stauf’s has a nice comfortable indoor and outdoor seating area for meeting people or getting some work done. It’s the quintessential coffee shop atmosphere.

On a recent visit I had the pleasure of talking with Tom Stauf, the man who started it all, while he was finishing up a batch of roasting coffee beans.(Gotta have a great nose!) He explained that he no longer owns this amazing caffeine-delivery system, but that he successfully avoided selling out to that Big Seattle Chain which apparently wanted the location Badly. Small quantities of beans are roasted here a couple times a week so you truly can stock up with stuff that’s only hours out of the Probat roaster. Stauf has a big warehouse elsewhere where they do the large-quantity roasting. About $ 20/pound. Sign up for their coffee club if you like your fix to be delivered regularly by the USPS. Expect a grungy college coffeehouse feel — a large place with rickety wood tables jammed into every corner, indifferent lighting, lots of wobbly patio tables outside, no leather chairs nor fancy designer stuff on the walls here. Bring your coffee purist friends here, not people who need glitzy-shiny-corporate coffee. Recently de-cluttered the front of the coffee-supplies area to make more room for the laptop & book-toting crowd to sit.
