This is a park in Harrison West that is, well, beside itself? Its name is paradoxical to a pedantic mind like mine. It’s really a single park split by Third Avenue before the historical bridge there that crosses the river. Its main use is a resting spot for riders of the greenway that runs by it. The northern section is nothing but grass near a daycare. Good for taking a nap, suntanning, or perhaps throwing freebies although I seldom see anyone there who’s not walking a dog. Word is that they plan to infill that space with condos soon. Normally I would be against that, but the plot is siting bare in an in-demand neighborhood; though the ridiculously big city dogs may find themselves out of luck. The southern portion is smaller, a circular commons snug between condos and the river gorge. It has benches, flowers, a walkway, and two medal monolithic art sculpture. It is a very pretty place to catch your breath, and have some water while doing aerobic workouts on the greenway.
