Palm Beach Tan

All the employees here are all great. Every time I come in they are so friendly and professional. They are always firing off genuine complements! Who doesn’t love that! It’s always clean and the beds are awesome. This store is very well managed.
I’ve been meaning to write them a good review for a while. After my visit today, I thought it was necessary. I came in and then a ton of people came in after me. It had to be about 15. They were slammed in a matter of 5 minutes. They handled the rush so well and being a manager previously I can appreciate how well they did their job during that crazy rush. They checked every person in addressed all questions and cut no corners. Not one person left angry due to a wait because the 2 girls were well trained and worked well together to fix glitches, clean beds, and check everyone in. They did it with a smile and gave off no sense of frustration. Which is hard to do when you have that many people starring at you waiting. This is the best place to go to tan!

Customer service is terrible & they don’t uphold their promotions. If you’ve ever tanned at Dolphin Beach or LA Tans, you’re not considered a «new customer» to Palm Beach and therefore don’t qualify for their promotions. The manager was combative, hostile, and rude to my friend and I. We left and went down the street to tanpro, the experience was much more pleasant/​normal there. Won’t be back to PBT.

I used to love tanning here but I was very disappointed in palm beach today. I have been going there for years but a couple months ago couldn’t afford to keep tanning monthly or paying the freeze fee (which is a ridiculous concept to begin with) so I was very excited to rejoin today only to be told that I would have to pay a $ 20 rejoin fee just to put my name back in the system (and then pay the actual membership cost on top of that). Pretty ridiculous if you ask me

This is my go to place for a spray tan or to get ready for vaca via tanning bed.
It’s in a great location with plenty of parking and is always super clean.
The sales pitches can be extremely aggressive, and the staff that knows me well knows not to push it, but the newer staff is very… excited about product.
I prefer the mystic tanning booth over versa, but both are great.
Overall great staff with upbeat energy, and I do notice them doing their best to keep the wait down. Keep up the good work ladies!

First off pay attention when you go in,
this place is just looking to suck every penny from you no matter what. I started coming here after moving to columbus looking for a couple single sessions, they do not sell them as they told me they are not a «contract «company. Well, anywhere I make an agreement and pay then sign my signature IS A CONTRACT. This company is totally twisted. I thought, «hey it’s close to home and clean why not give it a go «.First they charge you an enrollment fee (which you can get «waved») then I was talked into upgrading for only 10 $ extra to get a quicker bed. I’m super aware of people taking my money and I even slipped on this. This little girl could have sold me dog shit on earrings and I would have boughten them. (their sales girls are ver very very good at what they do). Anywho I signed up for one month, after thinking about how much money they conned me into I decided to cancel as soon as I could. This is not an easy task, they literally would have told me anything to stay with them, they will tell you that you can freeze your account, so when you sign up again you won’t get the enrollment fee, mmm «okay sounds good“I said and «so I won’t get charged for not being here correct? «Nope. First they avoided the question saying «you would get credited when You resigned for a new month, so it would be free! «
I asked «credited from what? If my account is frozen there should
Be no money coming out» after asking more questions I found out they still charge you 7.00 a month … WTF why would I pay if I am
Not using your services. I tried to explain this to the sales girls, I felt like I was talking to a wall, they kept telling me it was a better deal… I thought I was turning into a crazy person! Okay I cancelled, but still had a month of tanning, Every single time I went back in after… EVERY SINGLE time they asked awe why did you cancel? Bc your company is a crock of s*/^\ that will take your money at any cost. Even up to my last day the girl tried to sell me lotion that will make my last tan stay longer…
The only reason I give 2 stars is because the staff is super informative and really nice. Also their beds are really clean
I will never ever be back. It’s not the sales girls fault either, they do what corporate pushes on them. Shame on the company

Stay away. While, I think I get a good spray tan, the customer service is the absolute worst! Even when I come here and it is dead, the booths are never clean and they just checking people in rather than cleaning beds and booths and keeping people moving. It’s logistics 101. I would cancel my membership this evening after my 40 minute wait but I can’t handle waiting in yet another line.

I’m not sure where all the negative complaints are coming from — relax, it’s a tanning salon. I just relocated to Columbus from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and had a great experience at Palm Beach. I need constant color now that I’m not in the sun daily.
I agree, the «sales» aspect was a bit aggressive, but I just told her no and selected the package I felt comfortable with. The salon is new, upgraded and the beds are CLEAN! A clean facility is important to me, the sales team was the least of my concerns!
I would definitely recommend, just go in knowing you’re going to be sold.

Wow! I have been to two different Palm Beach Tans in the last week. I decided to buy the 5 for $ 10 package deal before my wedding to get rid of tan lines. I thought the chick Savannah was bad at the Graceland place, I then go to Olentangy and holy smokes! The first word that comes to mind to describe these chicks are Tan Mongering Nazis. Sorry, but that is really what I think of when I get bombarded with ditzy, completely one track minded robots trying to sell me this membership, or this lotion, or, am I sure i don’t want to upgrade to level 4 or 5 ?? It is like fighting off a swarm of mosquitos just to get in the tanning bed and have your minutes. The one girl at Olentangy shoved a lotion in my face and asked if I wanted to learn about it and I said «no, not interested» and then she comes back with «Well, can I tell you about it anyway cause it’s really awesome?» I said, «No, not interested.»
Another thing that is so ridiculous is the fingerprint sign in. The explanation was so that way no one else can come in and take tans from my account. Really? That is the last thing I am worried about is someone coming into steal my tans! HA! I refused to use the finger print thing.
I can only say that the foundation of this company must have some pretty backwards values, and that the employees are completely desperate to get sales. I don’t recommend supporting this business one bit.

This is truely the best tanning experience in Columbus. As an experienced «tanner» I have had many memberships at many salons. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgable in their products and services. Although the sales can sometimes come off pushy, the team genuinely wants you to have the best results by using the best skin care. And they are right!
The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait time in the evenings. They never seem to have enough staff during busier times. Many times there is only one person working trying to check guests in, cleaning beds, while giving full presentations for new clients. You can read the stress on their face and makes for an awkward experience for a full lobby of customers.
Recommendation: have appointment slots available through a palm beach app! ;)
Other than that, the girls and the beds are amazing! I literally feel like im lying on the beach. It’s so calming and relaxing. My go to beds: ALPHA and P90 bronzer. MYSTIC spray tan 1x week! Gorgeous results! Enjoy!

PLEASE stop with the sales pitches! It’s fine for the initial visit but it’s so annoying to have products shoved in my face at every visit! If I had known they were going to be sales sharks, I would have gone back to Tan Pro which is one block north. As a side note, I did purchase lotion and 6 days later was asked if I needed more!!! Really!!!

The girls are super helpful and nice.
I almost wandered off into space when I came in to sign up for membership. It took forever because she was explaining every little detail. I understand it’s her job and she did great.
I always disliked tanning beds but I decided to sign up so I can not look like Casper during my beach vacation. They had a awesome promotion for a great price. Its been a week since my first tan and the results are great.

This place is new and nice but way too into the sales pitches. There were several people waiting in line while I had to go through the whole 20 minute sales explanation of all of the beds and lotions and bronzers. Every time I’ve gone back I have been given another sales pitch on buying lotions and have had to wait in line because they seem too understaffed to keep beds clean, check people in and go through their sales requirements.

I decided to try this tanning salon out because A) it’s brand spanning new and B) It’s across the street from work. The sign up process was long but the lady who was helping me was super informative and knowledgable. Her energy was amazing, she seemed genuinely excited to be working there. I ended up going with one of the higher packages which I probably don’t need but she was an awesome sales person, I don’t mind, I can appreciate good sales tactics. Also the fact the bed lights up and looked like a space pod got me. What can I say I’m a sucker for design. Very informative on the products, I only bought a face lotion as I already had others but they seemed expensive even with the discount offered. The bed was super clean and very comfortable. The whole place was very clean and new. The price was higher than other tanning salons in the area but the beds are all brand new so it’s worth it for quality, I think at least.

I’m literally sitting at Palm Beach Tan Unilocaling about how terrible this place is. My husband and I came here on Saturday ³⁄₁₅ to purchase spray tans for our cruise in the Caribbean. It took a full hour just for the two of us to get a spray tan.
It was a Saturday and they only had two employees and one was a trainee. We sort of lucked out by getting there before other customers, but there was a line of 6+ people behind us that hadn’t even been helped. One girl who had already been helped sat and waited for a clean bed for 15 minutes.
Once we finally signed up after about 40 minutes, I was sent to the spray tanning booth. I was given directions, etc. and she told me the booth would turn on. Well… The booth never turned on. I had to go back out to the front and tell them this. Got back into the room and the same thing happened again!!!
So then, I was moved to another booth because that ended up being broken. Got in there… Booth never turned on. As I get ready to open the door after getting dressed again for the 3^rd time. The employee knocks on the door to tell me she never turned on the booth.
As I let this all go on my first visit, I thought maybe because the trainee was there and it was making everything much more difficult, I let it all go.
Now. Here I am for my 2^nd visit. The «trainee» is here again and as I walk in, the trainee decides to finish up her conversation with her friend right in front of me. She continued her conversation with her friend… tells her friend she will come over to take care of her dog after the procedure as well as hang out. I felt like I didnt matter at that point.
Once I was acknowledge, I told her what I wanted to do. Another girl came up and tried to upsell me on lotion; I immediately told her know“No, Im not interested in buying anything,” so she proceeds to tell me I can try a sample, so I say sure, whatever so they would stop. Under the assumption the sample was free… Im told its $ 7.50 for this sample after I blatantly said I did not want to spend money.
After that obnoxious fiasco, Im told to go to room 19… Get there… Not even clean.
Im so over this place and VERY VERY unsatisfied about my entire experience. The only person that was aware of anything was Skye. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Otherwise, I dont think I can ever return.

They have a great selection of beds and stand up booths. Most of their beds come with aromatherapy, body misters, and mp3 hookups. Plans range from around $ 30-​$ 100 plus start up fee. it looked like a god chunk of their lotions are the Ausie Gold brand and the staff is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to them. Location is snuggled tight between a Potbellys and a pizza joint right across the way from the Tribeca.
